Killer Instinct 10 The Visit: The Figh

Karma ran straight at the leader with both fists held up. He throws a punch, but the leader dodges it and punches Karma's stomach. Karma fell back but stood his ground. Then he charged in again and tried to elbow the leader's face. The leader quickly got into a position to dodge.

But that merely a feint.

Karma quickly pulled back his elbow and grabbed the leader's head and slammed it on his knee. The leader burst out in pain but managed to stay his ground. Blood dripped from his nose.

"I got to admit," the leader said. "You have been the toughest a.s.signment so far."

"Same here," Karma said, smirking. "You are the only one I have fought who hasn't fallen unconscious yet."

And with that, the fight continued. Karma kicked the leader in the side but was kicked back in the stomach.

"M'lady, it would be wise to leave right now," Frank said to s.h.i.+rohana. "These hooligans might hurt you in their ridiculous brawl.

"N-No, I'm alright," s.h.i.+rohana said weakly. "Let me watch."

*Why do you keep on wanting to be with that brat? Haven't you had enough of all of those that had betrayed your trust?* Frank angrily thought as he looked at s.h.i.+rohana.

He had taken care of s.h.i.+rohana since she was 13, which was when her mother got remarried to the head of the Kamayama Family. He had been there and had seen the harsh events that had occurred in s.h.i.+rohana's life.

Now she's repeating the past that she is trying to move away from.

He wanted to take her away. He wanted to close her relations.h.i.+p to anyone so that she wouldn't have to despair again. But at the same time, he was secretly curious.

Karma, getting even more excited, advanced back and attacked with a combination of kicks and punches. The leader fought back with his martial art moves. After what seemed like forever, they stopped, each panting from the long fight.

"Huff...huff. Do you ever...go down?" the leader said, exhausted.

"What?...huff...You already tired?" Karma said smugly, but also very tired.

"You c.o.c.ky brat..." the leader said, as he got into his stance. Just when he was about to engage in another round, his phone rang.

He picked it up, talked, and hung up.

"Tsk," the leased clicked his tongue. "Guess this is it, isn't it?"

"What? You giving up?" Karma said smugly. "You're not ending this like that! I'm not even half done!"

"No. No, I'm not," the leader replied. "But you're right about one thing. I am ending this. I was just told that I needed to finish this job so that I can do my other jobs. Since the contract only said to "rid of" the target and it has come to this, I guess I have no choice..."

He then reaches into his pocket and puts out something.

A pistol.

"And what are you gonna do with that? Shoot me?" Karma said with a smile.

"Yes, you would be right," the leader said. "Since my a.s.signment is just to get rid of you, killing you satisfies the quota."

"W-Wait!" Josh suddenly blurted out. "I only said to scare him into never getting near s.h.i.+rohana. I never said to kill him."

"Well, that might be what YOU said," the leader replied. "But as for the contract, there was no mention of that. You probably should have read the contract thoroughly before signing, eh?"

Josh grated his teeth in frustration.

He turned back to Karma and repointed the pistol at Karma.

"I wished I could fight you more, but due to the circ.u.mstances, you will have to die now." the leader said.

"Interesting. Never tried to fight someone with a gun, but I'm feeling the burn," Karma said.

"I don't know if you are brave or just plain stupid," the leader said, facepalming. "Well, either way, I won't be able to find out nor do I want to. It was nice fighting you, but now your luck has run out."

He pulls the trigger.

-BANG-

It should have hit Karma. In the heart. It should have ended Karma's life.

But it didn't.

At the last minute, without hesitation...

"M'lady!" Frank yelled, realizing what just happened.

"s.h.i.+rohana!" s.h.i.+rohana's mom yelled.

s.h.i.+rohana had jumped in front of Karma and took the bullet. Blood spurted everywhere. She fell to the ground. A pool of blood surrounds her. Karma walks slowly over to her.

"Ah...Stupid girl. Who in their right mind would jump in front of a bullet?" the leader said, shaking his head. "Guess I have to take another shot...I hate using this..."

"Why...Why did you do this?" Karma asked s.h.i.+rohana. The shock had caused him to revert back.

"I...I don't know. W...hen he pulled the trigger, I...I just jumped..." s.h.i.+rohana said weakly. "I...I guess I...j...usr wanted to do something for you...inste..ad of j...ust watch..ing..."

And with that, s.h.i.+rohana lost consciousness.

At that moment, something snapped inside of Karma.

Karma picked up s.h.i.+rohana and walked over to Frank and s.h.i.+rohana's mother, who were completely in shock. He lays s.h.i.+rohana down and walks back to the leader. They quickly tend to s.h.i.+rohana.

"What's with that look?" the leader asked. "It's the girl's own fault for being so reckless."

The next moment...

The leader was knocked a few feet away. It all happened so fast that the leader wasn't able to react in time.

There standing just a few feet away was Karma.

Just then...

"My...How pathetic. Losing to a kid like that. And you call yourselves professional?"

The leader turned around to the voice. There, standing behind him was a man in a black suit. He wore a red tie and sungla.s.ses.

"Mr. Rye..." the leader said. "W-What are you doing here?"

"You guys were taking way too long, so the boss had me come." Mr. Rye said. "Honestly though, how the f.u.c.k are you having this much trouble against a brat like that?"

"H-H isn't normal, Mr. Rye!" the leader said, his words trembling. "H-He was manageable a second ago, but now he's become something completely different!"

"All I hear are excuses," Mr. Rye replied, walking forward. "Explain it to the boss when we get back."

He walked up to Karma, cracking his fists.

"Hey, brat. So you think getting a few lucky punches makes yo-" My. Rye began but was cut off when he was suddenly punched. The pain was none he had experienced before. It felt like lighting had coursed through his body. But, he managed to stand his ground.

"You s.h.i.+t!" Mr. Rye said. He charged at Karma and threw a jab, but Karma dodged and threw an uppercut at Mr. Rye's chin. The impact made him fly back and his head hit first onto the ground.

*How...How is he able to overpower me like this?* Mr. Rye thought, slowly getting up. *He is a danger that needs to be rid of, or he will kill us all!*

Mr. Rye, a professional at getting rid of people, who had been training for 20 years, was losing to a kid moving on a pure animalistic drive and who had no training whatsoever.

The wind howled as if signaling the final blows that Karma, or what was left of him. seemed very intent on doing.
