The Great Mage 4 Aurora's Identity

Inside the hotel room at the kitchen, Victor just finishes making hot milk for his wife. He then bought it to her room and slowly opens the door, but all he could see is the darkness inside the room, thus he flips the switch on and saw her wife sitting dazedly on the bed.

Victor could only sigh, he just put the hot milk on the bedside table. After going in and out of the Imperial Hospital, they still couldn't see their daughter making his wife going crazy and driven to madness.

Thanks to his power that he could calm her down but he couldn't let this go on for long. If something really bad happen to their daughter, he wouldn't know what his wife would do.

Victor just sat beside her and pulled her close to him, "Honey, just drink this milk. You haven't eaten a day's meal. Our daughter will be fine, let's put our trust in her. Do you want her to be worried sick if she find you like this?"

Karen just silently cried in her husband's arms."Why don't they let me see her? Are they hiding our daughter from us?" Two weeks quickly pa.s.sed but they were just retained in this hotel room without seeing how she is. It's just making her more worried.

"Maybe tomorrow, will receive news about her, let's just wait okay?" Victor said, then suddenly they heard the bell ringing from the door, reminding them someone is at the door.

Victor and Karen only looked at each other thinking who would be visiting them at this hour. Thinking maybe it is their daughter, they quickly got out of the bed and open the door.

Opening the door, they saw a well-built stern man, dress in the magic knight white uniform but the difference is that there were three gold linings on his collar and the few patches of badges st.i.tched at the left side of his chest, on his shoulder patch shows the single symbol of the Phoenix indicating of his higher rank.

The person standing on their door with five higher ranks magic knights behind him, he was none other than the General of the Magic Knights, Leonel Enrico.

"G-general!" Both Victor and Karen exclaimed. This is their first time meeting him, they only saw him from the paper news and television.

General Leonel Enrico look at the two people, thus he asked in a gentle manner, "May we come in?"

Victor and Karen was awaken from their stupor, thus Victor quickly get out from the way in, "Yes, yes, General, you're welcome to come in" then Karen instantly led them to the living room.

Karen let him sit first the sofa and his other guards were left standing behind him, while Karen took out some beverages and sat opposite from them along with her husband, Victor.

Karen pushes the Masala Chai tea, "General have a drink first" she offered and the General quickly took a sip.

"General, what made you come here?" Victor asks in a nervous voice. He can't picture out why would the general at the temporary place they are staying show up. While General Leonel put down the tea and look seriously at the couple.

"You are Aurora Summers parents, I'm here to inform you that your daughter is in our care and she is safe now." General Leonel introduces and both of the couple heaves a sigh of relief.

"Victor, our daughter is fine. Then when can we visit her? Is she awake now?" Karen excitedly said while the General just silently look at her.

Victor then seriously look at the General, an important higher rank officer wouldn't come here to just tell their daughter's condition, his agenda today tell's him something more about their daughter's safety.

While General Leonel can sense that Victor got a hold of his true purpose tonight, "I'm here to discuss some matter and a condition with the both of you."

Seeing how the General look very serious, Karen went stiff but Victor just holds her hand telling her that his here no matter what happen.

"I may offend you but I need to know if Aurora Summers, is really your daughter?" General Leonel asked making Karen and Victor froze in their seat.

"What do you mean by that? Of course she's our daughter! Even if you did a DNA test, it will show I'm here mother!" Karen blurted out trying to hide something from him but the General wasn't shaken, he needed to confirm something from them.

"Genetically, you're her mother but your husband isn't related to him. We did our research regarding on her ident.i.ty, then we also found out that you can't conceive a child. We saw your medical results since childhood to now that no matter how, you can't bear a child." The General said, when he heard this sudden news from the Elder, he was also shock not believing an ounce to what he just said.

Karen didn't believe it at first due to her medical condition. She already wasted a lot of pregnancy test but it really showed that she was really pregnant, thus she quickly went to the hospital with her husband to have a check-up, but the result is still the same. "Wether I can't conceive a child or not, Aurora is my child with Victor. You questioning her ident.i.ty, did something bad happen to my daughter? Is there a reason why you're keeping her away from us?"

The General deeply sigh and told the truth, "Aurora is a special mage of a Triple Ability, in which she had the Destruction and Ice ability while the third is still unknown."

Hearing that their daughter is a special mage, the couple went daze.

"How can it be? I'm happy that my daughter is a powerful mage but I'm an adverse mage, how could she have an ability like this?" Karen exclaimed, no matter what, she really find it unbelievable.

Conceiving Aurora is already a miracle for her, even her magic ability is a special one.

"Yes, this is true. According to the healer, her magic gene mutated resulting in these circ.u.mstances. They also concluded that it has something to do with you conceiving her."

Knowing their daughter's condition, Victor looked straightly at the General, "Then, aside from telling us this, what else is your other agenda?"

The General silently applauded Victor for his quick wittiness, thus he replied, "We decided to enter her at the Royal Magic Academy. Your daughter is too special and she held great powers, which will put her in the light and also from enemies lurking in the shadow."

"But, she isn't of n.o.bility nor royalty, how would she enter the academy?" Victor said.

"With your consent, I'll put a story that she is my long lost daughter. With my ident.i.ty, she would be able to attend the academy and no one would have the guts to touch her under my care." The General clearly said.

While Victor didn't buy it, "No, I won't consent this!" He also knows that Aurora won't buy this, he won't let his daughter be far away from him.

Meanwhile, hearing his suggestion, Karen contemplated while her husband and the General talk, then she loudly declared, "I consent this"

Victor instantly looks at his wife, not believing what she just said, "Karen, are you mad? Do you really want to be far away from Aurora? Just being away from her for almost two weeks made you felt like dying! Now you're really sending her away? What if they have any ulterior motives?" Victor angrily said.

"Didn't you hear what the general said? Enemies will be coming for her! Do you think with our strength we could protect her all the time? Aurora is my life and I can't bear to let her suffer more. Her welfare is important to me even if i have to sacrifice myself as a mother for her" Karen said and she can feel her heart wrenching from pain.

No parent could take the pain of their child being away or taken from them.

Then she also added, "If at the General's side she would be well protected, then I'm consenting this."

Looking at her wife in pain and determined face, Victor just went silent. Then he look at the General, with a heavy heart, he said, "Tell us, what we need to do?"
