I came out with the trash bag and helped p.o.r.nsak with the plastic bag filled with all sort of fruits, vegetables as well as some meat, poultry, fish and eggs. I placed everything in the kitchen table and placed the wet ones inside the sink.
"How was the market today? Seems you had made a quick round trip today and everything looked fresh."
"There's not many people in the market even though it looks kind of bust at first. Managed to get everything and here's the balance of the money."
She handed me a few crumpled notes and some coins and I was wondering how come she didn't place it inside her cleavage instead. But I think I'm not going to dive there if it smells like the market, would I? Haa... Haa... Haa...
**********
This is what I learnt from my mother if you want to keep your vegetables fresh. You lined a few paper towels inside a rectangular plastic container and place the vegetables such as spinach or kailan after cutting off their ends. Then place a few paper towels on top of the vegetables, cover them up and placed it at the most bottom part of the refrigerator. This way even though after a week the vegetables may look a bit lump, a soak in fresh water would revive them
**********
I cleaned up the fish, and since it was already gutted and descale, I placed each species of fish inside a Ziploc bag and place them in the freezer. Same goes to the prawns that had been beautifully b.u.t.terfly-cut.
I guess this is the charm of a woman that affect the fishmonger to settle on what she demands I guess. Basically, all the seafood had been carefully preened and ready for storage or cooked in this event.
There was some bamboo kind of woven mini baskets that I used to store the kinds of fruits inside the refrigerator after I had rinsed them out.
Now the refrigerator looked rather lovely with all sort of colours and variety of fruits we can munch instead of mad pa.s.sionate lovemaking sessions. Haa... Haa... Haa...
I thanked p.o.r.nsak for her efforts of going to the market and gave her a big fat kiss on her neck that made her sn.i.g.g.e.r like a small girl.
"Don't do that or you going to make me wet and I want some later on. Remember you got an appointment with my uncle and as you said earlier, you are going to have a face-off with one or more students of his."
I laughed at her when she remarked that I'm going to make her wet... Well, we are the in the kitchen, what else could get wet besides her hands from the sink. *rolling eyes* Haa... Haa... Haa...
"Yes, I know that. By the way, we still have some time before 10 am. How about I make you a fruit punch?" as I reached my hands over the kitchen cabinet and retrieve a fruit blender.
"That's great, make mine a surprise one..." she said as she left the kitchen before sliding her finger sensuously under my chin and sashayed her hips to the living room and plopped down on the sofa before switching on the TV.
I took the watermelon and cut the tip part lengthwise to make an opening that I intend to use it again to cover the fruit up. I used a small scoop device and made lots of mini scoops of watermelon b.a.l.l.s and place them inside a small bowl.
I then took some strawberries that she had bought, added two red apples which I had decored, two ripe tomatoes and yellow lemon. I placed the watermelon after I had scooped its contents back into the fridge.
Together with 1 decored and skinned red apple, a few strawberries, 1 ripe tomato and half bowl of watermelon, I turned them into blended juice in the juicer after adding a cupful of ice together. The juice was poured into a tall gla.s.s and I squeeze a few drops of lemon in it and inserted a straw.
I repeated the same process and made mine as well. The sc.r.a.ps of fruits were then placed into a small receptacle which is in one of the sinks so that whatever wet contents would not drip on the floor. So it would be settled by the part-time housekeeper later on.
I brought the tall gla.s.s filled with ice cold fruit blend and handed one to her and she had it in both hands and sat crossed legged on the sofa and leaned against me.
"This is very nice, I like it very much. Do you know how to make blended milk fruit? It's nice to have them once in a while to cleanse the colon."
"Yes, I know how to do that. I'm a bit of lactose intolerant and have to get the low lactose milk instead. I don't have stock in the fridge right now but I could get some in the way back later."
"Sure... Ahhh... This is refres.h.i.+ng. I like the sweet and sour taste of this drink," she said as she sipped and her face cringed at the sourness of the lemon that I had just squeeze on top of her drink.
We watched some news on the telly and its already time for us to move out. p.o.r.nsak called her uncle that we would be moving out and arrive some 20 minutes later at her uncle's place. After she hung up, we placed our empty tall gla.s.s of fruit juice on the living room's coffee table and went straight to the bike.
After I got the coordinates on getting there we purred out on my Honda Vario and reached the main street. After riding for some time in the mid-morning traffic, we reached p.o.r.nsak's Uncle's place in under 25 minutes.
It was not actually called home but rather like a mini temple with large red wooden doors that seemed to be protected and locked from the inside. A man-sized statue was placed near the side entrance of the wooden red doors and it depicted a man fighting in Muay Thai manner.
I was thinking of a house or a temple of some sort but was taken aback as it looked like a training ground for Muay Thai compet.i.tive fighters.
I raised the large ring k.n.o.b and slammed it thrice and soon the door opened and a small boy with shaven head peeked out. After recognising the girl beside me, he opened the door wide and invited us and smiled meekly. He clasped his hands under his chin and bowed to us and we returned back the gestures.
When we walked inside, the flat ground was as large as a basketball court. A wingchun statue was in the middle of the courtyard and there were a few sandbags hung from a bodhi tree. There was a weapons rack that consists of short staffs, cudgels, spears with short metal tips and some with broader tips that looked like a blade at the end.
We entered and reached the entrance of the house/temple doors before p.o.r.nsak's uncle came out and greeted us. We clasped our heads under the chins and bowed to him.
"Welcome to Twin Tiger Muay Thai Training Camp of Pattaya..." the Benevolent Monk spread his hands as he mentioned the name of his prestigious training ground to us. It was my first time entering such place and p.o.r.nsak didn't seem to be moved at all.
"Thank you, Benevolent Monk. I wasn't expecting of such a grand place, I thought it was like a house like mine with a driveway et cetera." I remarked as I was astonished that p.o.r.nsak's uncle had the financial capacity to own one such training ground.
"Haa... Haa... Haa... Seems p.o.r.nsak didn't tell you what my multi-roles can be right? I could be an auspicious Monk dealing with the supernatural events, an exorcist and also a teacher for these students of mine.
They are groomed to be the finest fighters in Pattaya and this ground had been gazetted by the government so basically its rent-free except for the usual maintenance like water and electricity utilities."
I scratched my chin as I listened to what p.o.r.nsak's Uncle had told me," That's good Benevolent Monk. What kind of honorific you would like me to call you instead, Benevolent Monk as this honorific would be best used during blessings and such."
"Well, others called me Khru or Arjan which I sometimes refuse them calling me that. I am just a simple man, maybe Monk would be a good idea. What do you think? Call me Monk instead of having to add Benevolent or anything."
"Sure Monk, you can call me Aroon and drop the Chosen One. It is rather weird if people hear me being called Chosen One like I'm a truly holy person or something."
"OK Aroon, I accept. And I don't think the clothes suit you at this moment. Hang on, I call for someone to get you a change of clothes first."
With that, he called to one of his students and told him to get a training garb for me to wear. A minute later he reappeared with what seems to be a traditional Taichi gear in black and red. It looks rather chic and I proceeded to change at the side of the temple/house where there's a small changing shed.
I came out and placed my clothes with p.o.r.nsak and I felt that these clothes fitted me well and I could freely move in them. It was neither loose or tight and yes, I like the feeling of the smooth polyester feeling and I do not feel too warm in them.
"You like it, Aroon? If you do you can keep them, I have dozens of them here and used it for demonstrations of Taichi and Muay Thai for newcomers as well as compet.i.tion bouts of mixed martial arts form."
"Thank you, Monk, I really appreciate it. This set makes me move freely too."
"I am glad you like them, but first let me see some of your moves that p.o.r.nsak had highlighted to me when she saw you do something in the kitchen some days back."
"Oh, that... OK, Monk. No problem. Let me be in the state of meditation and I could show you the moves."
I moved a few steps away from the duo and stood with legs apart. I then transfer all the weight on one leg and c.o.c.ked the other at an angle, like as if I was standing in line to pay my groceries.
I closed my eyes and I felt my body swaying abit as it loses all balance and then the leg that I transfer my whole body weight seems rooted to the ground as it became one with Mother Earth.
My limbs were totally relaxed and I felt like my arms were branches of a tree swaying in the light breeze as I lifted my arms slowly in front of me with dropped palms. In my mind, I was like a tree swaying in the breeze as I lifted my arms and made circular overhead movements. My free leg also seemed to spread slightly apart as I controlled my breathe the same way as I controlled my arms.
Each movement was very fluid and there are no sudden or erratic movements from my arms or my free leg as I pivoted and turned almost in a circular motion on the ground. In my mind, I am able to visualise something that seems to strike at me and I swayed and moved my hands to parry and counter the strike.
Another strike visualised in my mind, this time in my right-hand side. I kicked it with my free leg, twirled around with my arms in defensive mode somehow and raised my free leg in a half knee strike while I moved forward with two palm strikes.
"That's enough, Aroon. You can come out of your meditative state now and stand easy."
I heard the Monk's voice boomed in my head as I steadied myself in the same position earlier as I gradually eased my breathing state and placed both hands loosely at the sides. When I opened up my eyes, I saw p.o.r.nsak was acting up with Taichi like movements with her feet and arms and she giggled like a small child when she was discovered by me.
"Your eyes were closed at all times and you could see the attacks coming in?"
The Monk asked me as I nodded my head and glanced at p.o.r.nsak who was covering her mouth as she stifled her laughter.
"I visualise them in my head when I saw a flash that seems to come at me and attack me. So I did what was necessary and parry to counter them twice."
"Ah yes, that was a natural thing to do just now..." as the Monk slowly rubbed his chest to ease the discomfort. "Don't mind me, Aroon. I just wanted to test something out but I got hit by you twice. Haa... Haa... Haa... You are quite remarkable, you know. Let me see you once more and see if you had surpa.s.sed Five Dragons or not."
He said while he performs some hand seals that I had never seen him do before me and raised it to his right eye.
"Hmm, just as I've thought. You had surpa.s.sed two levels and now at Elemental Crown. Your current level when I first met you was Five Dragons. You had breezed through Sun and Moon and Golden Blossoms, surpa.s.sing 24 Chengs altogether so easily that it seems like a child's play to you."
"Eh?? I've upgraded again? When did it happen and so fast? I don't even realise that I could upgrade so fast in this manner. I hadn't done any meditation or a chi breathing to correct the flow of chakra points yet if I am not mistaken."
"Yes, you had upgraded on ways unknown to me or the masters that you might stumble on the way. You picked up the meditative state to ignite a smouldering candle and a dry wick before. This is a true way of pure concentration in your mind. You also managed to form a Psi ball for devastation and a Pai energy ball for healing as well. "
"I will test on you on other methods that may enhance your channelling of powers and their concentration levels. I would also test on your inner and outer strength and your other combative skills in both armed and unarmed."
"Although I was taken aback when I got hit even with your eyes closed, I can feel the energy surging through your nits before contact with me."
"You are truly a tremendous person I have met in my whole entire life. It was as if you had reincarnated from a warrior of some sort."

I scoffed at the last sentence and told him that it was just nothing. I do not reincarnate or reborn or rebirth of some sort in any way and I was born as Aroon, a local Thai boy that had a major in broadcasting and working with a company that made short doc.u.mentaries.
"Rest a.s.sured, Monk. I'm just an ordinary guy with a Third Eye that never gets to live beyond 35 years old. Haa... Haa... Haa..." I laughed at my own sentence and this laugh managed to loosen up the tension in the air earlier being me sort of reincarnated... Pffff... This is not a story of being reincarnated of some sort.
With that the Monk excused himself and while saying so, p.o.r.nsak was making some movements with her hands in front of me while making sounds like "Née... Née... Née... Née... Nee..." like some sort of action movie flicks
