Tsuru closed her eyes she remembered Evira mentioning that you could find anything on the internet, if that was really true then she simply needed to search for a lamp hopefully not getting a fake, "Allon, where's Evi-
... where's my phone?" She caught herself in time, but still got a weird glance from Caron.
Allon turned to look back at her while Caron was driving, he looked around the back seats, searching for something extending his hand pointing at a bag beside her, "It should be in there, what are you looking for?"
"Just curious," Tsuru said playing it off, Caron might have bought it but Allon didn't, raising an eyebrow at her but turning back around. She remembered seeing Evira mess with it before, so she had an idea of how to turn it on. Pressing the b.u.t.ton in the front the screen glowed before her, showing the time at the top, she swiped to enter. A keyboard appeared confusing her, a taping against plastic made her look up seeing as Allon extended a paper to her, hesitant at first but grabbing it Tsuru looked at its contents, some code written on it.
Allon snapped his fingers once pointing from the paper to the phone, she understood what he meant and typed in the contents to the phone. He had already turned his back on her again seeing as he had taken his own phone out, she ignored him going through the phone looking for a specific app Evira had mentioned.
A message popping up at the top to which she tapped, "What are you doing?" Was all he asked, she peered up at him, he hadn't been looking at her, however, she understood what she had to do, typing in her response, "Looking for lamps, surely there have to be genies out there still without masters."
He chuckled in the front seat, going quiet when Caron looked at him, he waved a hand at her letting her know nothing was wrong writing a response, "You clearly know nothing. Now drop the phone before you screw up."
Reading his text she grumbled ignoring it while she continued her search through the phone, Ending up in failure as she didn't know enough of the technology as she needed. Throwing the phone aside she leaned her side on the door, her eyes traveled down to the legs, remembering how hard it was to get out the hospital without falling too many times. Tsuru lifted up her legs on the seat taking up all the s.p.a.ce, she wasn't wearing shoes so she could move her toes freely, comparing the things to worms.
Some journeys last forever, and that's exactly how this car ride felt all the way back to the house, traffic didn't help either and the random conversations that surfaced every now and then bored her, mostly benign about the treatment she supposedly needed after the dreadful poison she had been through. Little did Caron know that none of that affected Tsuru, she was as healthy as any normal teenager Evira's age.
Finally reaching the house and parking up the car everyone was quick to open their doors and step out while Tsuru battled the door to the death not knowing how to open it until Caron did it for her, reached out a hand to give her support while she got down she accepted it without much of a fight.
Tsuru forced out a genuine smile at her feeling the muscles on her cheeks tense up in a weird way, "Thanks, mom... Mom." the words rolled out on their own, catching Tsuru by surprise even when she had been the one to say them, "I'm going inside." as quick as she said it she started wobbling back in the house falling over halfway, "All alright, all fine, I'm good." getting back up she managed to make it inside.
Allon greeted her at the door, he grabbed her arm helping her stand straight and make it up the stairs, "If your idea is to look for a lamp hoping for a genie to come to your salvation, you must be dreaming. And I find the need to remind you that we're from more than 1,000 years in the past, most genes have already done their time."
"And what do you suggest then?" she clutched onto his arm too concentrated on going up the stairs to complain about him.
Allon was practically carrying her up the stairs, she barely managed to give a step and with each of those she pulled Allon making it had to move, "Find your immortal lover boy, he's been around for quite some time, surely he must have some genie's."
"I see your point." Seeing his struggle Tsuru got off him leaning on the wall, he stopped a few steps higher than her, "How are you gonna find him though?"
A smirk spread on his lips, "Well unlike you, I can actually work out technology." He moved his hands around mocking her, "Upstairs the computer." He held a hand out waiting for her. Taking it they finished heading upstairs and going straight to Evira's room.
Allon got to the computer typing in and clicking a few links looking for something in specific, "I think I've got him." He turned on the chair facing Tsuru, "Famous artifact collector. Hold the biggest lamp collection in the world including other great objects holding the value of millions. Currently resides in Arabi that's about all we need to know."
She held a hand to her chin looking up the ceiling, "How do we get to Arabia? By car or boat?"
"Neither, we use something called planes to travel really far distances quick." He announced to her seeing her confused facial expression, "It's big, metallic and can fly." His short explanation didn't help at all for her understanding of it, "You'll know soon enough."

"Alright... but how do we pay to get there?"
"Whoever said we're the ones paying to see him. He's buying lamps so let's give him something to buy." Allon smirked getting the lamp from his pocket setting it on the table, "Perfect plan."
"Not a bad plan but how sure are you he would be interested in my lamp." Tsuru questioned Keir wasn't stupid he would recognize her lamp in a heartbeat, "Why would he even want my lamp again? What use could he have for it?" She thought to lay down on the bed.
"Because we will be selling mines too. We have double the bait there's no way he wouldn't take it." Allon declared the grin on his face disappearing, "I just ask you don't screw up, after all, everyone knows you have terrible luck."
She nodded at him getting up from the bed walking to the door managing to go on a straight line without wobbling much, "I'll kill him, that's for sure."
Murder... something that wasn't always her nature a really long time ago...
The man had come back and told them all to get back in the lamps silencing anyone who disagreed. While some complained most of them agreed to what the man asked and hid in the lamps, Tsuru being one who agreed to it quickly. He went around picking up all those that have listened and ignored those that stayed outside demanding he turned them back to normal. Some of the ones grabbed had been Tsuru when his bag was filled he marched out the room again leaving lamps behind.
The man stride through the streets heading in alleys and placing some of the lamps on the floor. Eventually, it became Tsuru's turn she was dropped to which she peeked through the hole, recognizing the place. She sobbed realizing home was barely minutes away.
While she drowned in her sadness she was unaware of time, pa.s.sing hours on the spot until she didn't notice being picked up and taken away. By the time she noticed she was in a completely different place, it looked like a home, he set her down on the table and put his things away, the man couldn't be over his fifty's but looked drained and tired.
The only meaning of time before the man picked her back up wiping the lamps dirt away from being on the streets all day, but that was enough to get Tsuru out, telling herself to remember what she was to say, looming over the man her head rubbing the ceiling from how tall she was.
"I am the genie Tsuru. I shall grant you an infinite amount of wishes but there's but only one rule. You may not wish for immortality or anything that will extend your life in any way." she looked down at the frightened man as he stepped back in shock of her appearance.
Noticing his fear she leaned down and spoke gently, "I won't hurt you. I'm here to make your wish a reality."
The man looked at her swallowing his own saliva his hand shaking and replied, "My name is Bilal... If what you say is true... I wish to be a king."
