"I said something wrong, didn't I... I'm sorry." Keme sat down again with his head hanging low, "I Ugh..."

Silence drowned the room, nether would say a word to the other. Keme felt terrible each time he glanced at her empty expression, through her eyes he could see how hurt she really did feel at everything he said. He had reached out to rub her shoulder but froze up and retracted his hand.

"I'm jealous of you."

Her words came out of nowhere, she had slightly looked up at him before her head hung low again. He didn't know what to respond to her.

"How many more years do you have left?" She referees to how much longer he had to be a genie. From her own being beyond 40,000, she wondered how much he screwed up.

He bit down on his lip pondering the question, "Around 400 years."

Tsuru snickered, "And I was starting to think you'd be around longer."

"Well, how many do you have left, last I heard you were around the ten thousand."

Tsuru laughed at the measly ten thousand years he mentioned, "You can be thrilled that number and you're still nowhere near the real one."

He leaned against her suddenly, "Come on tell me."

She shook her head and did the unexpected to him, she stuck out her tongue in him, "We should really get going."

"I know.... just a little longer. What's the rush? Listen I know I'm pus.h.i.+ng it but, would you want to go shopping." She raised an eyebrow at him not understanding what he meant, "It's called a mall, where dreams come true." He extended his hand and did the motion of a rainbow.

"Really?!" Her face demonstrated excitement to his surprise, "How does it work?"

"I was being sarcastic, sorry." Seeing the excitement depleted from her face like a leech had sucked it out made him feel guilty, "But still, it's magical and we can buy anything you want."

She scrunched up her nose but gave him a smile and patted his shoulder, "Let's go then."

She stood up without having him stop her reaching the door to stop and look back to see him still on the bed, moving when he saw her eyes on him. A few steps away from the door Allon was leaning against the wall, waiting for them to come out.

"Where are you going?" the question was instantly brought up while Allon straightened his posture.

Tsuru did the rainbow symbol with her hand like Keme had done before, "The mall."

"Oh right, you've been away for 300 hundred years, you don't know anything about the recent times." Allon stood aside to let Keme through while he walked beside Tsuru, "You'll be amazed how much things can change."

Tsuru tried walking ahead of Allon only to have him like a tail beside her, "I already am. Now how will we get there?"

"The way we get everywhere, a car." As Keme said that he opened a door revealing two cars but only appeared like big peace's of metal to Tsuru, "Which one will you go in? The blue one or the black one?" Keme didn't bother with giving her their names since he was fairly certain she wouldn't understand half of what he'd tell her.

"Um... blue?"

"Great choice, get in." Keme practically pushed her in the front seat while he got on the driver's side and Allon got in the back.

A silent ride can resurge deep memories that are better left forgotten

Tsuru walked side by side with Bilal through the castle he had wished for. All looking as perfect as it should but the man before he stomped on the ground angry and annoyed.

"I'm sure you'll get your immortality tomo-"

"Silence Tsuru." He didn't bother looking over at her continuing his angry ramp through the caste. Guards stood at every inch of the place. She held her head low floating behind him like his stray mutt. But the man was so angry that even when she was silent it annoyed him, "I wish for an army of undefeatable soldiers, ones who's blood run cold."

Her trembling fingers snapped when he finished the clanking of footsteps outside so loud the ground below them would shake. The man chuckled indifferently at the sound his walking having slowed and his expression calmer.

"What do you want an army for?" Her question brought his menacing face over her.

"For war, what else can an army do?"

"Oh, wouldn't you much rather do something else, I mean really a war can be dull and boring. Why bother with one? Besides your going to be an immortal death isn't really in the whole ordeal."

"What do you suggest then?" He stopped in his tracks crossing his hands over his chest.

She stammered, "Well... uh, how... how about, how about making a.... making a new city and traveling the ocean."

"So you're suggesting I become a s.h.i.+p captain?"

"Of course! All the wonders you could see, a treasure to conquer and other things."

"So a pirate? Instead of being the king I am now, why would I possibly make such a stupid trade?" He rolled his eyes at her and walked off while she continued to look down at the floor in regret.

If only she had chosen in different rules, maybe things would have turned out better. But she chose to be generous and not set a number for people so they could have anything they wanted, well almost anything. And that brought her already in her first run a big regret. She murdered innocent people because it was demanded of her, she brought an army because it was demanded of her, and she brought a king that would bring nothing but chaos.

"What are you thinking about?"

She looked down at him, "Nothing."

"Tell me, don't make force you."

Biting her lip she obeyed, "I don't like you."

"Why? Because I made you kill people or because I'll kill people with the endless amounts of things I can make you do?"

She bit her lip even harder even believing it would draw blood, but it didn't, "Everything."

He looked into her eyes seeing the burning anger reflecting off them, "Life's unfair Tsuru, that's just the way it goes. I too would hate myself if it hadn't been for the cruel years that have beaten me down. Your still a child, you don't understand what life is really like."

That was the hardest truth Tsuru faced when becoming a genie, and it was some she learned the hard and cruel way throughout the centuries. Because in her eyes, life.... life became a curse, just like that wretched immortality she despised.
