"Ok, so where do you want to go?" I know that I'm trying to rush but if she really needs my help then I will gladly go.

"That's not what I meant... I'm... I'm trying to ask you on a date..." Wait, what now?! Did she seriously ask me on a date? We dating popped out of my mind... something felt weird somehow and I'm sure it wasn't an excitement of some sort...

Ugh! My head suddenly hurt... random thoughts suddenly appeared in my mind! It's like memories are forcing itself to show up or I'm not sure if it's even mine! It's showing some happy times with Akko and I can feel the emotions... feelings of being loved and happy but... then it also shows my death and Akko's at the same time over and over again that my head feels like it's going to burst! I tried to say something but... I couldn't. Ughhhhh!

-Life Guild Hall-

Huh? I'm back at our guild hall but how? I remember having a severe headache and after that, I probably lost my consciousness.

"Well, that's one way to reject a girl, Scy. She even carried you here." Elou... It looks like he already knows what happened.

"I'm sorry but to tell you honestly, I really pa.s.sed out. My nightmares came back even while I'm in a game which is really weird." I know it's not a good excuse but it's what really happened.

"I'm sure you did. Are you sure you're okay? I mean, it's not common to pa.s.s out inside a game unless your energy runs too low and I don't think that's the case. We can't really travel if you're like this you know." I can tell that he's kinda upset.

"My head still hurts but I think I'm ok... So, where's Akko?" She probably thinks I rejected her because I don't like her but she's one of the people who helped me and I really appreciate what she does.

"She's worried sick. She's not online right now because she's way too embarra.s.sed to see or even talk to you. I'm sure she's crying right now but she'll get over it soon." Elou answered. I can't believe it...

"How can she even like someone like me? I don't deserve a girl like her." I said as I regret what happened.

"You can say all you want to say. You might think that you don't deserve her but she deserves you. She liked you from the beginning and I can't blame her, you're a good guy and she feels your warm." Well, I don't remember being a good guy at all but how can I fix this...

"For now, try to rest. I'm sure she'll get back soon." He said and left me to have more rest.

I spent my afternoon resting and just lying on the bed at the guild hall. It's so comfortable that I wish I could do this every day.

Why did those nightmares come back when she asked me out. I don't get it. It's like my nightmare is stopping me from doing something. I wish it could stop me without hurting me like crazy, though. I know that my nightmare is just a nightmare and nothing more but if that nightmare is really a memory, then going out with Akko might kill us both... Ugh... I'm overthinking about it again. Maybe that's why I get that nightmare over and over again.

"Hey, Scy. So... here's Akko... and she wants to talk to you. I'll let you guys talk. We'll move out when you're done." Elou said and so Akko went into my room and hiding her face by lowering her head.

"I'm so..." I tried to apologize for what happened but...

"You don't have to answer now. I know that you only think of me as a friend and me, doing that out of nowhere might make things awkward between us but... but I really really like you. I'm not asking you to like me back but please consider my feelings for you. I will make you fall for me!" She's really the Akko I know. She doesn't give up.

"I'm sure you will, I know that you will." I stood up in front of her and pat her head. I don't know why I did that but it felt like I already loved her for a very long time.

*Door opens* Elou opened the door without even knocking!

"Too early!" She shouted and then slammed the door.

"Ok, so let's go?" I asked her as I removed my hand on top of her head.

"Ok..." She replied and I can tell that she's disappointed... Well, worrying about everything won't lead us anywhere so for now, I have to focus on what I should do.

We headed out and Elou, Akko and Lili's with me. If Elou's right, then that notorious girl might really be powerful and we have to at least be cautious. We need to stay as low as possible because we don't want to get attention at all.

-Outside Vanguard's Stronghold-

It didn't take long. We arrived near the gate of the Vanguard's Stronghold and before we could even take another step, a guy suddenly stopped us. And as easy as that, we might find our target sooner than we thought.

"Yow? And where do you think you're going fancy pants?" I looked at us but there's no one here with fancy pants at all. (Bench)

"No need to be sa.s.sy there, pal. We're here for your boss." I said as I'm irritated with people with that kind of att.i.tude. He's probably high-level warrior with his gears.

"I don't remember having a boss at all and you're probably their leader for talking like that. I seek a strong opponent but too bad, you're not one." He said... I'm not here to waste time but if that's how we could get the attention of their boss then I would gladly cut his limbs.

But I don't think it will that easy. A couple of his friends surrounded us. They're no ordinary players. They're probably the same level as my guildmates but we can handle a bunch of teenagers...

"This is an idiotic tactic, no wonder Glace doesn't favor you at all." It looks like one of them is mature enough to think carefully, maybe around his thirties and he has also wolves around him, probably a hunter or a tamer. (Alpha)

"Shut up, old man! Now back to business, PALADIN STRIKE!" And just like that, he jumped towards me with his weapon. He's a paladin with light element attack, not bad. He's probably their tank. (Bench)

*SWOOOOOs.h.!.+* I rushed towards him using my fire booster but after hitting him with my blade, the blade just pa.s.sed right through his body emitting bright light. Probably, his monster soul's pa.s.sive.

"Ha! That will not..."

*BZZZZZZZT!* He spasmed like crazy to the ground after I touched him.

"SWOOOOOs.h.!.+* Incoming arrow from behind. (Cyke)

*ARROWS COLLIDING SOUNDS*

"Not so fast," Elou's arrows. .h.i.t every arrow the guy shot at me. Nice display of talent, Elou.

"Now!" The other guys are preparing to use a high-level spell and I can tell that by the mana they used.

"ICICLE BEAR!" Calling an ice bear to attack for you, that's cute. (Reiza)

*BURNING SOUNDS*

Akko's flames surrounded me protecting me from the bear and before the bear could even get near me, it was already dispersed by Akko's flames.

*BAAAAAAAM!* Oh, the paladin has appeared. He was able to break through Akko's flames and tried to bash me with his s.h.i.+eld but I stopped him by parrying his s.h.i.+eld with my blade. He was able to push me back but that's only because of his heavy gears. (Bench)

"AHAAAA!" The archer appeared from above and he's going to attack me while I'm currently busy with this paladin. It could work against dumb people but not on me. (Cyke)

*SWOOOOOs.h.!.+* Now, I don't think that Lili would just stand there doing nothing.

She used her light push spell knocking every arrow and stopping their attacks, making them vulnerable.

Lili, Elou, and Akko just used basic spells but the power output was incredible. I don't think I can defeat any one of them now after being gone for a long time.

"Now, it's time to burn! t.i.tAN'S GIANT FIERY FIST!" I missed wrecking and burning things with this!

"WIND INTERCEPT!" I sensed a spell from afar and I think someone's trying to stop my attack against this annoying guy. (Naia)

*BAAAAAAAAM!* They were able to stop my attack by using a wind nullification spell. Not so bad. Never thought wind element can be used that way.

"Tone it down, guys. We don't want to alert the Vanguard babies now, do we?" It looks like the one we're looking for is here with two young ladies beside her. (Reiza and Naia)

"Notorious girl! I want you to join my Guild."
