Love Began When I Met You 2 Chapter Two

Alicia looked up in time to see Greer glaring at her, she's pretty sure if looks could kill she would be dead by now but why was she feeling uncomfortable, it's not like she did anything. Apparently, she thought wrong because in the next moment a smacking sound was heard in the room. Alicia held her burning cheek in her hand and stared at Greer in disbelief, her eyes br.i.m.m.i.n.g with tears.

Greer raised her hand again to deliver another slap but this time around Alicia caught her hand on time. Greer was clearly enraged when she looked at Alicia again 'When did she become beautiful ' Greer thought as she stared at Alicia who due to the slap earlier had lost her nerdy gla.s.ses and her long brown hair had sprung free from its band, complimenting her ocean blue eyes.

Alicia had always been a beauty from young but due to some reasons, well Chad if she was being sincere, she decided to stay her nerdy self because that was the only way he noticed her. She had tried appearing before him 'the real her' before but whenever she had the courage he would already be with one girl or another and she was too scared to reveal her true self in a place where she had no support whatsoever, she has always been bullied by other girls when she was younger because she was prettier than them, smarter than them and she grew faster than them.

In reality, all the bullying was because of the fact that she had no father. Her brilliance got her a scholars.h.i.+p into one of the best schools in her town then which was a relief to her sickly mother because aside from the academic scholars.h.i.+p they supported her financially at home which was rare but she was always grateful.

This went on till the day her mother got a job, partially the job was because of her but her mother was an additional help cause she was still too young to stay alone when she got the job, yes, that job was to accompany Chad by tutoring and reshaping him into a 'better person', helping out with a.s.signments, going to the same school as him which was an upgrade to her former school. But there was a condition set by Mrs. Pepper, Chad's mother and that was to never reveal her true self in front of her son or else her life and her mom's would be miserable.

Too young to understand she could only nod when Mrs. Pepper was laying down her conditions: Don't go into his room unless it is necessary, don't make eye contact with him, don't do this, don't do that and most importantly no one must know they live together.

For this reason, she had to change schools although, the bullying in her new school wasn't much better she liked studying with Chad. She would sneak glances at him from time to time but she was too scared to look him in the eye. This went on until the incident when Chad almost lost his life and she had to save him which almost caused the death of both of them but since that time Chad who had not really noticed her all this while started opening himself to her little by little. He still kept her at arm's length till they gradually became closer.

This little attention from him made her feel so loved since she never had a father or a brother, he slowly became those things to her but she was too scared to admit her feelings when she noticed it grew deeper than the innocent love in her heart.
