The Black Tiger 17 They Don't Like Me

-I was right. They don't like me ...-

Gabriel stood beside a lady named Sonja. She had short black hair which only reached to her lower jawline and wore a short white dress cowered in pearls. He felt the other bounty hunters stare at him strictly while the room was silent.

"As you may know we have recruited a new member. Welcome Ocean, he is categorized as a shapes.h.i.+fter and will be working with you from today on. I need to go to a board meeting right now so greet Ocean and show him around this facility." Sonja presented before she went to a meeting.

Gabriel stood there looking around the room while he could hear the bounty hunters mutter:

"I actually thought we was going to get a person suited for this kinda job, but instead we got a pretty boy"

"His cute, but he's most likely a pain in the a.s.s"

"Ocean, lol. He must be a fish or something"

"I don't like him, but I need to make money. I'm going to approach him and just be done with it"

A man in grey jeans and a skin west walked towards Gabriel while emitting a friendly smile.

"Hi, my name is Freddy. I'm an a.s.sa.s.sin cla.s.s beast specialized in close combat ..."

Before Freddy finished speaking he sliced a small pocket knife near Gabriel's neck. Gabriel grabbed Freddy's hand before he managed to stab him. All the hunters looked confused while Gabriel's eyes emitted rage. He had managed to point the small knife towards Freddy just millimeters from puncturing his skin.

-well, if their going to "welcome me this nicely" then maybe I should do the same-

The room were filled with an heavy aura which made the golden walls seem grey and the warm doors made out of wood felt like steel bars.

"Well, it seems like someone doesn't like me." Gabriel said in amus.e.m.e.nt while the others stood still.

"Fredrick Stone... Did you know that this man killed innocent children while he tried to rob their teacher and that he secretly stole money from this a.s.sociation. He is wanted for slaughter which makes it legal for me to kill him." Gabriel smiled.

A cold sweat ran down Freddy's forehead while the room kept silent.

Gabriel took the knife and threw it into a nearby trash can. His steps moved out the door where he suddenly paused saying:

"If you want to fight you are allowed to ask me anytime."

The sun started to rise, it had been a long day and Gabriel felt like sleeping. He had slept through the night peacefully, but he wasn't a morning person.

"It's irritating how those bounty hunters treated us, especially since they are rank D hunters at most." Tigris hissed.

"Be quiet, I don't feel like talking to you right now" Gabriel said coldly while staring onto the silver green ceiling.

Two hours pa.s.sed before he stumbled out from the plain bed located in front of a small window covered with steel bars. His body felt heavy and he already knew it would become a hard day, and that was because he was going for his first hunt.
