The Black Tiger 19 Inner Voices

-Weak. In my whole life I have been labeled as weak by the society, but to become stronger I must challenge those who are stronger than me. I must admit I'm afraid and you may call me a coward, however I'm going to face my fears and I will do anything to become stronger.-

Gabriel walked silently in the enormous halls of the academy. His heart racing even faster for each step he took towards voices which belonged to two individuals who was talking to each other. The jade walls felt like they were going to crush him and he knew this mission most likely was impossible, but he couldn't give up or rather he didn't want to.

"It seems like your son doesn't reach the Same level as our champion yet mr. Warran" A familiar voice said in amus.e.m.e.nt.

"Well, he has always been weak mr. Greed. However it doesn't make sense that my children are so pathetic. None of them are near me and my wife in strength"

It took a split second before mr. Greed asked something Which shocked all of the individuals who stood there, including Gabriel who was observing them.

"How is the search for your youngest son going?"

"We didn't even try to search for him, he is useless anyway so it would only be a waste of time and resources."

Gabriel felt anger fill his mind as the words left his father's mouth. It wasn't surprising and he is more surprised by how he reacted regarding this matter.

However, he knew that he needed to wait for the right moment to get to his target. In his state of anger he unintentionally grabbed the amulet in his left front pocket and accidentally broke it into tiny shards of green gla.s.s.

[ALARM]

Gabriel got startled by the sudden column, luckily for him he didn't make any noise or sudden movements. He didn't know he could absorb objects which was a bit odd.

He thought while keeping an eye at the four individuals who stood in middle of an arena for combat.

"Yes, indeed." Tigris said in the back of Gabriel's mind.

-Where have you been all this time?-

Gabriel rolled his eyes before he mentally commanded.

Information: A kind of spell which makes the user listen to other individuals' thoughts. This is an pa.s.sive skill which indicates that it's used automatically.

Gabriel had almost forgot his mission, but he suddenly got back to his senses when he heard his brother's voice.

"d.a.m.n IT! Why must I lose every time I fight against that p.r.i.c.k."

Gabriel got quite impressed when he noticed that Charles didn't move his lips, it was then he understood that his new skill had been activated.

"Just to inform you in advance, but there are restrictions to the ability 'inner voices'. The first is that you only can listen to an individual's thought within a 30 meter radius, second is that you only can hear certain parts of their thoughts. However, those restrictions will disappear when the ability has reached its maximum level." Tigris declared.

-Ugh... Of course there's limitations- Gabriel rolled his eyes.

Sam tensed up after the fight, he had a feeling that there was someone observing them.

"Mr. Greed, please excuse me. I need to leave for one task I have been delaying for a while now." Sam said formally to mr. Greed.

This was obviously a lie which gave him the opportunity to check out that ominous feeling.

Mr. Greed let out a small sight while he leaned his weight on his right foot.

"You may leave, but return to my mansion later tonight since we are going to eat dinner with our guests."

Sam walked fast through the hallways and noticed a man in a red hood which glanced into the room he just had exited.

He didn't think a second before he confronted the stranger.

"You're not allowed to be in this building while those men are in there." Sam said strictly.

He got quite surprised when a familiar face and voice answered.
