The Black Tiger 5 Savanna

"The dungeon is ready to open about a minute from now. You should probably prepare to engage in combat. Also be aware that other beasts can enter the dungeon, for now there isn't a single being Within a radius of 500 meters."

Gabriel was excited, he had always wondered how a dungeon looked like on the inside and what kind of creatures were in those worlds. Tigris continued talking while Gabriel listened closely.

"Take the sword which are located near the remains to your left. Use it well for now until you can craft a better weapon yourself."

Gabriel took the sword and looked oddly at it.

"Inspect"

STATE OF ITEM: PRESERVED WELL BECAUSE OF THE SMALL AMOUNT OF COPPER

The pa.s.sive ability 'inspect' had gotten more useful as it leveled up to lvl 2.

-Since it's a pa.s.sive skill it should be able to activate itself at a certain level.-

Gabriel stood under the roof of leafs slinging the sword around while he was waiting for the portal to open.

[ F RANK DUNGEON WILL OPEN IN 3...2...1 ]

Sparks of lightning appeared 20 meters from Gabriel. They started building up a white portal which s.h.i.+mmered in the shadow of the forest. Gabriel hesitated, he had never seen anything like it before.

"Are you going to enter the portal?" Tigris asked.

Gabriel gathered all his courage before entering the portal slowly. The electricity flowed around him as he walked through it, remarkably enough the lightning didn't hurt him. Instead it tickled.

Gabriel stepped into a different dimension after pa.s.sing the portal. He couldn't believe what he saw as he gazed at a savanna with long brown gra.s.s rustling in the heat. There were som small bushes on the savanna and a water hole.

"It's empty..."

Tigris replied fast:

"There is creatures lurking in the gra.s.s, be careful."

It rustled near a bush located around 50 meters from where Gabriel was standing. His heartbeat was fast, was he ready for this? An animal stepped through the bushes. It was a dog like creature, it had black ears with white dots. It had a slim body made for speed, it's fur was brown. The creature's slim snout was white and the animal didn't have a tail.

Gabriel whispered fast:

"Inspect"

The animal wasn't strong, but at Gabriel's current level it's still a big treat. Before he could engage in combat he needed to find out how many other animals were hiding in this area.

"Detect"

He turned around at the same time as he studied the landscape in the surrounding area. He still tracked the White snouted canine while he located several other animals. There were two snakes near the waterhole, but instead of scales they had short red fur. Their heads had terrific horns growing out of each side of their head. There were also a herd of birds hiding in some of the more shallow gra.s.s. They had long necks build up by ruff grey feathers, their body were small and their feet were short and pink.

There wasn't many dangerous creatures in this area, so Gabriel decided to attack the easiest prays first. His choice, the birds. They didn't seem to be fierce, even if they're in a herd they seems to be relaxed. Gabriel moved quietly towards the flock of birds as he clinched his hands on to the sword.

He successfully closed up the short distance between them before swinging his sword hesitantly. A red fluid flew into the air as the sword had sliced through two birds, they died instantly. The other birds rushed up in fear as they spread their one meter long wings taking off into the sky.

Gabriel forgot about his surroundings in shock of how little he needed to do before leveling up. He even earned 5 stat points. He gazed down on the two birds that lied lifeless on the ground. Guilt started to spread through his mind, how could he do that?

"What have I done..." He said with a sad tone.

"There's no need to feel guilty toward others, these two died instantly and didn't suffer at all. You did a great job by getting closer to the animals while they relaxed." Tigris voice didn't show a single hint of emotions. That's one of the things that scared Gabriel the most. How could Tigris be so cold in these kind of situations. Gabriel understood that this is the only way for him to become stronger, these feelings felt conflicted.

Gabriel turned around to discover the white snouted canine raging in an incredible speed towards him. He swong the sword vertically as the canine pa.s.sed him. There were no technique at all, what could one expect. Gabriel had never even touched a weapon before. A wound near the canine's front legs opened up as it ran. The blood flowed out from the wound while it's balance perished. The dog like creature fell down on the ground on a bush. It had not been as fast as Gabriel first thought, it was still frightening when it was trying to attack. The creature breathed heavily as its eyes was slowly closing. Gabriel took the sword and finished it off.

Gabriel stood beside the fallen body and stared at the column in front of him while regularly check if there were any other animals trying to attack him. He thought about how to distribute the stat points, but he couldn't decide how he would use them. In the end he transferred them equally into strength and agility.

Gabriel experienced the same boost of energy as earlier, he could feel his muscles grow and adapt.

"So refres.h.i.+ng!" Gabriel smiled.

"You should go towards the old tree to the right."

Gabriel pa.s.sed the water hole and had changed the direction he was walking. He could hear birds chuckling in the gra.s.s in front of him.

He had killed six birds of the same species as before. He had in total earned 8 stat points, which indicated that the rewards slowly gets less as he crossed certain levels. Tigris was unusually quiet today, he usually explained everything as they trained every day.

Outside of the F rank dungeon inside the forest near the Warran property. A group of five beasts were getting ready to enter the dungeon. It was two girls wearing light dresses with silky fabrics. Both of the clothes were dyed baby pink. The tallest of the girls had curly blond hair and brown green eyes while the other girl had tan skin and silver hair falling elegantly down her pet.i.te figure. Both women were beautiful water magicians trying to rise from rank F to rank E.

The three men chatting and laughing were warriors seeking money. They all had old armor covering them from top to toe. It was impossible to see their faces when they were wearing their helmets.

The small group were part of a guild called WW. They was able to buy a portal from the Warran family because they only took action in rank C or above. To be able to get low rank dungeons from higher ranked beasts were quite splendid. It was like winning the lottery because dungeons near powerful beasts were usually pretty unique.

One of the warriors faced the portal while shouting:

"Let's fight and be aware there can be abnormalities inside of the dungeon!"

"YES CAPTAIN!"
