On Friday evening, Wu Chen went to Yi Fei's apartment complex to pick her up for their grocery shopping date. Yi Fei informed NaNa earlier about it so that she could tag along but NaNa was quite busy with her preparation for her upcoming ComicCon.

For this time, Yi Fei was wearing a baggy s.h.i.+rt and a yoga pant. There was a cute unicorn printed on her s.h.i.+rt.

Yi Fei went to the parking lot and entered Wu Chen's car naturally as she was used to doing that for ages. When they reached the supermarket, Wu Chen took the shopping cart naturally as he was used to it. They walked side by side like an old married couple.

When Yi Fei and Wu Chen arrived at the Poultry Section, the workers there seemed to remember them very well. They kept on looking at Yi Fei and Wu Chen. Yi Fei was looking at the whole chicken before choosing one that she wanted.

"Excuse me miss, aren't you the proposing couple last time?" A butcher, guy who looked like in his late forty, asked Yi Fei when Yi Fei asked him to prepare the chicken flesh.

"Yes, that's us" Yi Fei pa.s.sed over the whole chicken to the butcher.

"Hey, this is the proposing couple last time" Out of the blue, the butcher announced it to his fellow colleagues. All of the workers gave them a genuine smile.

An old lady who was walking around the area came to them.

Yi Fei remembered the old lady. Last time, the old lady was one of the people who kept on urging Wu Chen to say yes to the proposal. She could remember the old lady because she looked a bit like Kanta's grandmother from the anime 'My Neighbor Totoro'.

The old lady came and held Yi Fei's hand; she was giving them a kind smile. "He finally said yes to you. I am so happy for you, young lady" While speaking to Yi Fei, her eyes moisten. Yi Fei did not stop her or evaded her touch.

"Yes ar… after I seduce him with everything I have, he finally surrendered to my charm. Hahaha" Yi Fei was in the mood of playing and bluffing. Since she had started everything, she felt that she needed to continue playing until the end.

Wu Chen was standing quietly beside Yi Fei. He did not say anything to support or to refute whatever Yi Fei said. He will let her play as long as she wants.

The old lady and Yi Fei talked like they knew each other for a long time. The old lady shared her experiences in seducing her husband while she was young like Yi Fei. On the other hand, from time to time, Yi Fei will add her comments like 'Chen Chen is also like that' and 'your husband acts similarly with Chen Chen'. The old lady even gave Yi Fei a lot of advice on how to 'grab' onto a man so he won't be able to run away from her.

The butcher interrupted their conversation to give the chicken he prepared to Yi Fei in a big plastic bag. Seeing that Yi Fei was buying way too much chicken for two persons, the old lady asked another question. "Are you shopping for dinner?"

"Not really. We are shopping to celebrate…" Before she could finish her sentence, the old lady held her hand even tighter; her eyes on Yi Fei's stomach.

"I'm so happy for you, young couple. Having kids at your age is the best" The old lady patted Yi Fei's hand and gave her a genuine congratulatory smile.

For the first time, Wu Chen saw that Yi Fei had an astounded look on her face. Usually, Yi Fei had a smart mouth and will always have a comeback for everything he said. This time, Yi Fei was so stunned that she couldn't put anything into words. She was just standing there until the old lady walked away.

A loud crash could be heard behind them. Yi Fei and Wu Chen turned their heads to check what happened. A familiar lady dropped her shopping basket after she heard the old lady's words.

The familiar lady had approached Wu Chen when she saw him with one of the ladies she saw in City T from a distance, but she did not expect to hear that the lady with him was pregnant. She could not believe it.

Seeing that the items inside the shopping basket scattered on the floor, Yi Fei approached the familiar lady and helped her to pick up her scattered things.

"Li Wei…I see you are doing grocery shopping too" Wu Chen followed behind Yi Fei was shocked to see Li Wei in the supermarket. Li Wei had an unreadable look on her face. She stood up, thanked Yi Fei and turned to Wu Chen to talk to him.

Both Wu Chen and Li Wei talked a bit. The whole time they were talking, Li Wei never acknowledges Yi Fei's existence besides Wu Chen. Li Wei treated Yi Fei as if Yi Fei was not there.

After a few exchanges with Li Wei, Wu Chen and Yi Fei continued their grocery shopping. For some reasons, Yi Fei stopped being chatty with random strangers. She was quiet and a bit distracted.

Even after they had finished their shopping, Yi Fei was still quiet. When they reached Wu Chen's car, Wu Chen could not take the silence anymore so he asked what was wrong with her. Yi Fei took some time to answer.

There were a lot of things that crossed his mind. Wu Chen a.s.sumed that Yi Fei might be upset because of Li Wei. He never mentioned Li Wei to her but seeing how incredible her creative mind was, he was sure that she might have some ideas about him and Li Wei.

After some time, Yi Fei was ready to speak and she finally opened her mouth.

"Chen Chen… tell me honestly" Yi Fei looked at him with a troubled face and sad eyes. Wu Chen touched her cheek before he said "mm".

"Do I really look fat?" Yi Fei looked at him with a hopeful face.

"Don't worry so much about it. You are still beautiful" Wu Chen did not know how to answer that kind of question. When they were teenagers, NaNa will always ask him that question. No matter what he answered, it was always wrong and NaNa will be very angry after that.

So this time, he decided to play safe by evading the question.

"I said fat, not ugly" Yi Fei pursed her lips. Wu Chen was just standing beside her, being useless. He will let her vent her frustration to him.

"How come the auntie thought that I'm pregnant?" Yi Fei was upset because the old lady thought that she was pregnant.

"I need to put myself on diet" Yi Fei spoke her last line with a very sad expression.

Wu Chen breathed a sigh of relief. At least, Yi Fei was not upset about him talking to Li Wei. That was good enough for him.
