After the embarra.s.sing things caused by the ghost story, Yi Fei and NaNa decided to return to their house. Wu Chen will be the one to send them off.

Jun Liu was naturally a curious guy. He felt as if there were too many flaws in Yi Fei's story so he decided to ask her.

"What's the relations.h.i.+p between your story and this place being a former old cemetery?" Jun Liu was hundred per cent sure that Yi Fei made up her story just to add spices here and there.

"The ghost lady was the first ghost to appear in this apartment complex. Since she was brave to come out, the other ghosts who were residing in the old cemetery came out as well because they get inspired by the ghost lady" Yi Fei was explaining in all her seriousness.

"But why must we say 'I saw your baby next door' and not tell her the truth? Isn't it bad for them to say next door because the ghost lady will go haunt the people next door after that?" It was too late for Jun Liu to back out now. By now, he was already in Yi Fei's palm – tangled in her weirdness.

"The ghost lady is a very determined lady ar… You see, even when she was eight months pregnant, she was still determined to send her husband a lunchbox. If you did not say that, she will still haunt the other houses" Yi Fei explained the motive of the ghost as if she knew everything.

"But why?" Jun Liu was not satisfied with the answer.

"Don't you know the feeling of a ghost? She was already so pitiful because she died tragically. How can you have the heart to tell her that she's dead?" Yi Fei was getting frustrated over Jun Liu's question.

Jun Liu wanted to say that he, of course, would not understand how the ghost lady would feel because he was not a ghost. He was convinced that Yi Fei was not normal; her imagination was very different with them on so many levels. He decided that he needed to talk some sense into Wu Chen when Wu Chen came back from sending them home.

Then there was the thing with NaNa. He never liked being touch by a woman but NaNa seemed to touch him far too many times than he can tolerate. He could say that NaNa might have touched him unconsciously – maybe because she was used to touching other people but he was really uncomfortable with it.

He decided to warn NaNa against touching him if he had the chance next time.

Wu Chen gathered both the ladies to send them home. Jun Liu opted to stay at home because of the jetlag and he was too tired from dealing with Yi Fei and NaNa.

"Brother Jun Liu, if you heard a knock, remember what I told you. Don't open the door. You might get scared and couldn't talk. The ghost lady didn't like people who didn't answer her question" Yi Fei gave him a thumb up before she went out from the door with Wu Chen and the swollen-eyes NaNa.

Even after all Yi Fei told him about the ghost, Jun Liu did not believe her. He went to take shower and then after that, he went over some doc.u.ments to help him sleep better; he always sleeps better after he read some doc.u.ments.

Jun Liu remembered that he left his phone in the living room, so he went out of his room to get it. When he reached the living room, he suddenly heard a soft knock on the door. He looked through the peephole but he didn't see anyone outside but the knocking sound persisted.

He got gooseb.u.mps and remembered what Yi Fei told him. Jun Liu looked at the cactus on the table and went near it. "I saw your baby next door" Jun Liu spoke loudly. The knocking sounds stopped and the gooseb.u.mps he got gradually stopped. He did not want to believe Yi Fei but the situation he was in right now proved him otherwise.

He was crazy – That was what Jun Liu thought of himself at the moment. His mind was clouded and influenced by the ghost story. If anyone knew what he did just now, he will be too embarra.s.sed to live on.

In a certain place, a certain someone was reading a book alone in the balcony when his phone rang. When he checked the id of the caller, it was an unnamed caller but he remembered the string of number like the back of his hand.

"Mr. Bai, I already sent the file you want to your email" The unnamed caller spoke direct to the point.

"Thank you" Bai Jing Ting spoke briefly before he hung up the call.

Bai Jing Ting put down the book he was reading and opened her laptop. He went into his email to check the file mentioned by the unnamed caller.

He clicked on the file named 'Wen Han background information'.

The file was full of information that he had already known. He browsed through the file to check just in case if there's something he didn't know about. His eyes stopped at the last information.

"Business dealing between Wen Company and Wu Group was cancelled. The reason – Wu Chen of the Wu Group mentioned that he won't do business with someone who has questionable moral. Wen Han went to see Wu Chen in Wu Hotel last Wednesday but he did not manage to change Wu Chen's mind".

Bai Jing Ting reread the same sentences for a few times before reality kicked in.

Wu Chen was in City L – Wu Chen really returned to City L.

Bai Jing Ting took his phone and dialled Yi Fei's number. For some reasons, he had this feeling that Yi Fei had something to do with Wu Chen's return to City L.

The phone rang for a few times before Yi Fei picked up her phone.

"h.e.l.lo, Brother Ting. What's up, man?" Yi Fei tried to be a hipster.

"Fei, what are you doing?" After knowing that Wu Chen had returned to City L, Bai Jing Ting felt uncomfortable.

"I'm on my way back" Yi Fei spoke a little too cheerful.

Bai Jing Ting knew that Yi Fei rarely went out after it got dark. One thing he knew for sure was that Yi Fei won't pick up phone call when she was driving.

From the background of her voice, Bai Jing Ting heard a faint male voice and he knew the voice – he knew it too well.

For some reasons, he felt as if Yi Fei was out of reach; that she was too far from him and he couldn't get to her anymore.
