Idiot In Love -46 Chapter 70: Apology

YI Fei rolled her in the blanket. She looked like a caterpillar.

Wu Chen sat quietly, trying to figure out what was happening with the cute caterpillar that was rolling on the bed with the comforter wrapped on her body.

After some time, Yi Fei came out from her coc.o.o.n and peeked at Wu Chen who was sitting quietly on the stool. She was embarra.s.sed by what she did in the previous night.

"Sorry" After rolling on the bed until she felt warm, she could only say one word.

She did not just make his hand as a pillow. She remembered hugging his hand and crying like she was dying because he retreated his hand when he felt that his hand was tired and painful. She was so ashamed of herself.

Truthfully, that was not the only things she did last night. Wu Chen couldn't sleep at all because she kept on tugging his hand. Wu Chen was already sitting at the edge of the bed but Yi Fei kept tugging his hand, causing him to lie down beside her.

The worst thing happened when she turned to her side facing him, exposing her chest to him and even clinging to him; she wrapped her legs to his legs and he couldn't move at all.

It took all of his willpower to control himself so that he wouldn't do anything to her. He did not have the habit of kissing a girl who was not his girlfriend after all. He made a mental calculation that he will claim this debt when Yi Fei officially became his girlfriend.

The suffering did not end up just like that. When Wu Chen tried to move, Yi Fei will be jolted awake and she'll do even more absurd things. For example, she'll start crying and singing to Adele's 'Someone like you'. She lamented about how she needed to let go of his hand and find someone new.

Just singing and crying was not a problem for Wu Chen, the real problem was Yi Fei was crying and singing while holding on tightly to his hand, not wanting to let go despite the lyrics 'never mind I'll find someone like you'. Wu Chen tried to tug his hand of Yi Fei but the more he struggled, the firmer Yi Fei held onto his hand. The drunken Yi Fei seemed to get a new power when she was drunk – she was quite strong.

Yi Fei even treated his hand like a plus.h.i.+e. She kept on mumbling 'Lay', 'China's Sheep', 'Song Joong Ki' and some other incoherent words. At some time while sleeping, she even wiped her saliva on his sleeve.

Wu Chen finally knew what NaNa meant by super clingy. While Wu Chen was happy to have this moment with Yi Fei, he preferred it more if Yi Fei was sober.

The present Yi Fei looked like she was about to burst out in tears; she had a very regretful expression on her face. "I'm sorry Chen Chen. You hand must be in pain right now"

That was not the point of why Wu Chen was staying in the room. He did not want to hear an apology from Yi Fei. Instead, he stayed until Yi Fei was awake to apologize to her. He could not go on any longer without apologizing and explain things to Yi Fei.

"Fei Fei, do you remember anything I told you last night?" Wu Chen was talking about the apology he made last night but seeing how Yi Fei panicked when he mentioned it, he knew that her mind must be wandering in the different direction. He couldn't afford to delay his apology. It's killing him.

"I am very sorry for bailing out on you. I didn't mean to. You are right. Li Wei used to be my girlfriend but we broke up. I don't know what she told you when you called but there's nothing going on between me and her" Wu Chen paused to check Yi Fei's reaction. When she was quiet, Wu Chen took it as his cue to continue explaining.

"You heard of the raping case in City L right? She called me saying that someone was tailing her. I went to save her. The rapist tailed her after seeing her walking alone in the dark parking lot" He paused again- still no reaction so he continued.

"I managed to catch the rapist before anything happened to her. I was in the police station when you called. She took the call" Wu Chen never took his eyes off Yi Fei.

"Whatever she told you, I just wanted to clarify that there's nothing going on between her and me" Wu Chen saw that Yi Fei scooted near him so he spoke slowly.

"I wanted to bring you along with me but it was dangerous. I don't want anything bad happened to you" Wu Chen paused to allow Yi Fei to scoot even closer to him.

"Let me off this time, alright?" By now, Yi Fei was a yard away from Wu Chen.

"Alright… You don't really have to explain much to me…" Yi Fei felt bad that Wu Chen explained so much.

YI Fei felt that she did not deserve much explanation since they were not together. Even if she was angry that she felt like killing somebody, she knew better that she did not have the right to demand an explanation. Like, on what basis could she demand an explanation?

"I want to…" Wu Chen stood up and sat on the edge of the bed beside Yi Fei. He tucked the wild tendril of hair to Yi Fei's ear. He seemed to like doing this thing to Yi Fei.

He looked at the messy face in front of him; still with a little bit of makeup and her hair reeked of hairspray. He caressed her cheek and spoke with all seriousness.

"Fei Fei, isn't it about time that we get together now?"
