Idiot In Love -17 Chapter 98: Culprit 2

The word 'shocked' would not be enough to describe what Yi Fei felt at the moment.

Yi Fei had been keeping a low profile since day one she stepped into Faith Middle School. She did her job, talked to everyone, and she tried not to offend anybody so that her life would be more comfortable in the school.

But like what people said, no matter how kind you are, you will always be the villain in someone else's story.

Cheng Xiao Meng was quiet; she seemed lost in her world. Maybe this was what it meant to get your heart broken; the force of crying is literally pus.h.i.+ng at the throat, there is no sound and people are silently screaming.

"Mr Jing, you misunderstand. I only want to apologise to Miss Meng" Yi Fei ignored the 's.l.u.t' remark from the male newcomer.

Yi Fei seemed to get called 's.l.u.t' a lot these days. She wondered what the h.e.l.l she did to get called by such a repulsive name. She had only lived her days peacefully without disturbing others.

The male called Mr Jing grimaced at Yi Fei. He closed the distance between him and Yi Fei. The squatting Yi Fei looked so small compared to the tall-standing Mr Jing. Mr Jing looked down at Yi Fei before he slowly bent down.

"Misunderstand? She cried because of you, and you said that I misunderstand?" Mr Jing spoke with a calm tone, but Yi Fei felt the chill coming from him down to her bone.

Mr Jing was the school counsellor. Yi Fei was not close to him, but they did work together because they get a.s.signed for the same task a few times in the past. Yi Fei did not have any lousy impression about Mr Jing, and she was sure herself that she never did something that offends him.

But why did Yi Fei felt such a murderous aura coming out from him? It was as if he hated her so much.

"Ah Cheng, let's get out of here. Let her be" Cheng Xiao Meng stood up and fixed her skirt. She walked by Yi Fei a few steps, ready to leave.

"Let her be? After all she did to you?" Mr Jing stood up and approached Cheng Xiao Meng. "You want me to let her go just like that?"

Cheng Xiao Meng turned to look at Yi Fei and then she looked at Mr Jing beside her. "I don't want to be like this anymore."

Yi Fei stood up because she was tired of squatting. She came face-to-face with Mr Jing. Yi Fei looked down because Mr Jing was glaring at her. If look could kill, she would be dead already by the look given to her by Mr Jing.

On the other side of the building, Jason was standing in front of the princ.i.p.al. The princ.i.p.al was scolding him for over pruning the flower bushes that happened to be the princ.i.p.al's favourite.

Even though his future boss, Yi Fei, had warned him and also shared the tips on how he could prevent himself getting scolded by the princ.i.p.al, Jason did not have the time to execute the plan to cover up his mistake because he had been pulling an all-nighter yesterday.

He had been investigating Cheng Xiao Meng, so he was busy finding out information. He wanted to warn Yi Fei not to get close to Yi Fei, but before he could do so, he was called by the princ.i.p.al to fix all the bushes he messed up.

Jason was worried because of what he found out during his investigation.

Cheng Xiao Meng came to City L five years ago and quickly befriended Bai Jing Ting who came around the same time as her. Most of Cheng Xiao Meng's family members were a civil servant. Her mother was the former beauty pageant winner in the country.

During her university years, Cheng Xiao Meng was diagnosed with mixed features depression and the university's psychiatrist had prescribed a medication for her. She got better these past years, but one could never know when their inner demon will come out.

The people hired by Liu s.h.i.+ had confirmed that Cheng Xiao Meng did not go anywhere these few days so she couldn't be the who vandalised Yi Fei's car in the parking lot but Jason and Liu s.h.i.+ couldn't reject the probability that maybe, another person had been hired to do the dirty job.

Even though all the evidences they had at the moment did not point to Cheng Xiao Meng as the culprit, Jason and Liu s.h.i.+ needed to keep an eye on her. If possible, Yi Fei shouldn't be left alone with Cheng Xiao Meng.

The princ.i.p.al had been watching Jason tr.i.m.m.i.n.g the bushes, and he never let Jason out of his sight. Since he was under the scrutiny of the princ.i.p.al, Jason couldn't go wherever Yi Fei goes so he felt very disturbed.

He knew that he shouldn't let Yi Fei out of his sight, but since he was in disguise, he couldn't just blow off his cover; Jason needed to act his part well. That's why when he did not know where Yi Fei or Cheng Xiao Meng was, he felt very anxious.

Jason saw that he had the chance to flee from the princ.i.p.al's surveillance when a group of students came their way. The group of students consisted of four female students that wore lip tint brighter than their future.

While the princ.i.p.al was scolding them, Jason took the chance to flee from the princ.i.p.al and looked around the school area to find out where Yi Fei was.

Jason was walking near the PE storeroom when he heard a loud cras.h.i.+ng sound followed by a screaming female voice.

He had a bad feeling about it, so he rushed to the storeroom to check what happened inside.

Jason opened the door to see Mr Jing was dragging Yi Fei on the floor. Without wasting any moment and without giving any warning, he dashed to kick Mr Jing down.
