I wake up and begin my plans to visit the toad lakes. I have a rough outline of the cavern in my mind. The mental map I have from both hemlock and the corpse spider are similar enough.

There are deeper caverns below. I know that tunnels leading deeper into the cavern expel alot of miasma. The floor of the cavern I reside seems to have five main chambers from which the corpse spider took his prey.

The toad was from an aquatic area. It's home was a network of tunnels with varying sized bodies of water. The area also had open area's with some lakes, or ponds. The toad lived a easy life being so toxic. It was left alone to rule it's area.

The scorpion was from the earth chamber. It contains more sedimentary rock, and sand. It's full of larger tunnels with more open chambers. There are a few Oasis in this cave, but most of the water is ground water. There was not much undead or life in this area Iearned from it's memories.

The corpse snake, centipede, corpse spider and I all are from the forest of death. That's the name I gave to my place of dwelling. It seems better than pity garden. That seems like a more honest name.

This is the area with the most abundant plant life, but they are usually "common" plants. Common as in they can survive in this harsh environment, but still lack any qi. There is alot of variation in plant life here. The other areas of the cave have some plants, but this area contains a lot of life thanks to the plants and undead. This area could also be called the wood area.

The other two areas are the corpse fire area and miasma tunnel. The corpse fire area is where stronger dead are mostly congregated. They use underground magma to refine their bodies in the most idiotic way.

They expose themselves to high levels of heat and then heal using the miasma like the corpse snake. This method destroys their bodies. I don't think even half would be successful using this method.

They are much weaker for the most part though then the fire-zombies hemlock fought. They seem to lack sense of pain. So the process has created some powerful creatures from the corpse spider's memories. They seem to remnants of the fire zombies hemlock fought. It just seems like a slow way to refine their bodies.

The corpse spider was able to eat enough cold poisons to gain heat resistance for short periods of time. This spider was rather smart. It was able to gather fire poison plants through this method.

The last area is the miasma shaft. It seems to be the air area of this place. There are is just a open deep tunnels that goes up, and down with mostly miasma in it. There are a few flying creatures in the poison, but the corpse spider never dared reveal it's self to them. I know they must be deadly for the spider to be wary of them, and their ability to withstand the miasma.

There are five areas with different elements to them. The water, wood, ground, and air elemental chambers make up the top layer of this cave. This must be some kind of formation. A formation is just a fancy Magic circle from my understanding that is drawn into something physical. There are five elements present, and that's all I know.

This could be hemlock's concealment formation, but I never saw her make it. I don't have enough knowledge of formations to make a guess of its functions. I could be wrong, I can only hope it's function does not harm me for now.

I quickly make way over to the toad lakes. The journey was easy enough. The mental map of the spider was incomplete in some parts. while hemlock's mental map was too old, and the geography had changed in certain areas. I did not run into anything thanks to the spiders experience.

I did not encounter much besides weak undead on my way over. The Terrain begins to change as I enter the waters chamber. I see shallow bodies of water I I get closer. They remind me of mirrors.

There are some blue glowing crystals on the ceiling, and some kind of fireflies in the air. The area is still dark, but bright enough to see the reflections of the ceilings in the water. I use my soul to observe the water, and find the shallow end near me is covered in fish bones.

There is also some luminescent moss in the water, but it's lackl.u.s.ter in comparison to the glowing crystals, and fireflies. I scan the water from a distance. There is not much life in the water, but there are a few fish, and semiaquatic-snakes, and lantern-like fish. The ecosystem of this place is strange.

I don't remember the toad this kind of life here. I know I am in the toad lakes, but maybe not the right lake. I ignore this for now, and examine the bones at the bottom of the water. I find a few of them are living dead hiding in the sea of bones idling in antic.i.p.ation for prey.

I don't understand this place at all. The toad ate insects and lived a relatively simple life. I can't find such memories in its soul. So I exam the lake again. These few undead are different from the fire zombies, and the undead I know. These skeletal fish are made entirely of bone. Their soul fragment seems to be fused with their bones.

This gives me an idea. I can't use Hemlock's fan for now, but an undead fan should be just as good for now. I just need to gather the necessary ingredients. The first thing I need is the semi-aquatic snakes. Their blood should help with my snake cultivation method. Their skin would be perfect for my own fan.

I have no need for air, so I slither over to the pond to find some semi-aquatic snakes. I could poison the pond, but that would leave too many traces. Also, it could ruin snake skin. I will need their skin to finish my fan, and it being melted would not do me any good.

I take the next best option. I wait for a snake to get close to me, and then I attack its soul. The poor thing does not put up much of a fight. I don't think it was that strong. I devour its soul and begin my search for the strongest sea snake.

This snake is still young, so it did not have much experience. I scan its memories and find out the serpent queen lives near the bottom of the lake. I find out she rules like a true queen, and this young low ranking snake would never see her. There is a cave near the bottom of the underground lake where she dwells.

She does not hunt. She has her children hunt for her. The water is poison in nature, yet she's grown quite old. I think queen scales will look nice on my fan. Any creature that has grown old in this environment must be strong. I also need undead bones. I think I will use the queen's bones along with some other bones to compete my fan.

I need strong bones to replace the wooden parts of a j.a.panese folding fan. I once read a book about the art of fan making. It's memories like that I would consider useless til I need them like now. I still can't remember large parts of my past life, but that library, and reading in my garden are clear as day.

I don't think it will be that hard to replace snake bones for ivory. I've saw snakeskin fans before as well. My past life's memories are coming in handy.

I search for bones that are longer . They also must have strong amounts of manna in them and undead energy. I find a few undead fish that meet my requirements. I have had time to study hemlock soul binding. I can't break it without dying, but mimicking a weaker version should not be an issue.

I dig underneath the lake and find a few strong undead bonefish. They have strong bodies, but weak souls. I easily subdue them one at a time. I use my soul to make thin threads, and I weave them around their soul fragmengts. I then use a small fragment of my soul to leave a simple version of her soul binding. It's weaker than the soul binding on my second body since I am not just completely fusing my soul to theirs.

While digging around for strong corpse fish, I found clam. Its sh.e.l.l was dark black, and it had a pearl inside of it. The pearl has lots of manna and death energy with the same poison in the water in it. It looks useful for making my fan. I take the clam alive. I attack it's soul as well. I do not kill it, I only stun it while I take the pearl.

The pearl soon is left in a shelf inside the ring meant for water type plants. I noticed that the wood shelf is not uniform in the type of wood used. There are varying shelves meant for different types of plants. The pearl should be fine long as I leave it in a similar plant box as it.

The ring would not allow me place the clam in it, but did allow me to throw in the bone fish. They are living dead, so I can store them in the ring I guess. I throw them in a large shelf with some water meant to hold a plant with a similar nature like the pearl. The clam is left alone for now, since it may make more pearls later.

The bone fish are simple creatures. They are now under my control since I have placed soul bindings on their souls. The only function of the seals I created is the ability to grow with a soul. This should be useful for having a weapon with growth potential. The seal is not that powerful now, but neither are the souls of the bone fish.

The seal on my soul is troubling, but not dangerous at the moment. I study it still, but I find it more useful to spend my time practicing the moon blocking cloud art. It seems to be easier in a place that has more water-based qi. I was right.

The night lotus Mantra can be simultaneously cultivated, and also shows better results cultivated here. There is less miasma underwater. The moss seems to absorb a good amount of the toxins in the lake. It's could be considered drinkable to most creatures that live here, but they all have some form of poison resistance.

I keep practicing while maintaining surveillance on the lake. There has not been much of a disturbance since I took the pearl and five corpse fish. There have been a few corpse fish that has taken their territory but besides that nothing new. The corpse fish are now my puppets, but I do not share any sensory with them. I take them from my ring and have them guard my body while I cultivate
