Life Hunter 41 ''No Problem''

Fayla had some injuries and burns but she was still better than Night who had a huge cut on his shoulder and chest because of the trident. The latter's fire dragon already had shrunk by more than half.

Night controlled his ragged breath and looked calmly at Fayla. He began to take a huge breath, his chest started to swell and the lines on his body glowed one more time. The huge fire dragon became a tourbillon of fire that was siphoned by Night.

Fayla's eyes narrowed, the trident hovering around her began to spin like a whirlwind in front of her, the spinning created some blue lines on mid-air. Soon, the trident had created a magic circle and was already working on a second layer.

"[Ut incenderent Aeternitatis] (Burn for Eternity)" Night gulped the last flame and chanted, his eyes glowed red, sparks escaped through his fangs. But he didn't open his mouth, instead, a magic circle appeared at his feet.

Fayla's expression changed drastically, she perfectly saw that circle was for teleportation, usually, in a fight, teleportation is really limited because of the aura of the enemy, but one can do it if he prepares himself enough before breaking through the opponent's aura. Fayla wondered if he was preparing that circle while they were fighting before.

She couldn't think more after that, Night teleported behind her, she just had the time to turn her head to see a twenty meters tall dragon staring at her with bloodshot eyes.

Night instantly roared and he spat a giant wave of fire that covered and burned everything in a ten miles distance in front of him. The fire spread like water until it stopped. The strange thing was that the fire didn't extinguish, it kept moving weirdly, like it was alive.

Night breathed out some smoke and stared at the sea of flames "[Gaudete](Burst)" He chanted and the flames suddenly burned stronger before a deafening sound resounded and the entire zone in fire exploded like a nuke.

The fire stayed for a few minutes before leaving the ground totally charred. Night observed carefully with an uneven breath. He spotted a figure standing in the middle of the inferno.

Fayla stood there, she was panting and her appearance was pitiful. She only succeeded to protect half of her body along with the head and heart by sacrificing the trident. Result, her whole left side had burned to crisp, her arm and leg were just carbonized.

Night wasn't surprised about her survival. He wasn't focused on killing her in the first place. He needed her to tell the human capital that nothing wrong happened here.

"Surrender" Night said in a quiet and calm voice in the middle of the crackling sounds of the burned ground.

Fayla raised her head and stared at Night "Never" She said

"Don't be unreasonable, you can't fight me like this" Night tried to convince her

Fayla took a small pill from her storage and immediately swallowed it. When she ate that pill, her skin began to heal back to normal.

Night's expression twitched when he saw that "(A medicine?)" He smiled wryly "(Arima never even touched that, saying that it isn't a fight if you rely on drugs)"

At this point, Fayla had recovered her fair skin, her black dress retransformed to cover the half of her body that was exposed. After that, she took out her golden sword and stared at Night.

"(Still, I may not be able to hold out from now on, should I let that woman finish it?)" Night thought then a dark-red light appeared right in front of him.

Night observed the red glow wide eyed before grinning and grabbing it.

After he tested Karma, Arima took out Superbia and smiled. In the last phase, he sent all the energy that wasn't absorbed by Karma into Superbia and his bullets. The rifle now was bigger and had a hint of red and purple on it.

Arima realized that if Superbia and Karma worked together, they could be really scary, so he took the opportunity.

After that, he quickly destroyed the creva.s.se and filled the magma chamber with water. At least like that, it will r.e.t.a.r.d the next eruption for a moment.

"Thank you" The land dragon thanked him in the next time "If it wasn't for you, maybe the entire territory could have been destroyed.

"Nothing much. Really, don't thank me" Arima said with a darkened expression "(I can't tell them I risked to destroy the continent for a personal reason right?)" He thought "By the way, I haven't presented myself right? I'm Arimane Blade, call me Arima" He changed the subject

The dragon nodded "My name is Hieran"

"I'm Rex" The dinosaur said with a silly smile and Hieran sighed

"Nice to meet you I presume" Arima said "Well, now that I saved your little home, can you give me a little favor?"

"Sure. As long as we can do it" Hieran responded

"It's not much, I'm sure your forest has a dryad, right? I want to meet her" Arima directly asked

When they heard Arima's demand, the two beasts' expressions turned ugly "Sorry Arima, but I'm not sure we can help you on that" Hieran finally said

Arima frowned "Why?"

"That dryad has one of the worst personalities you can find" Rex shook his big head "She thinks of herself as a Queen and is extremely selfish. For this incident, we asked her to help us but she said that she won't do it and told us to do what we can to stop it. She also told us that even if something happened she could protect the forest alone" He explained

Arima listened and furrowed "That unlikely, I'm sure I could protect around a thousand miles radius of this forest if I give it my best but all of it is almost impossible. She wouldn't be able to protect the entire forest which take almost all the territory" He said "Is she stupid?"

Rex and Hieran laughed together. The latter shrugged "I don't know, maybe she didn't know the threat that volcano represented" He said "Anyway, why do you want to meet her?" He asked

"I need her abilities, her scan ability to be exact" Arima said

"If you want to find someone or something on this continent, I can do it for you" Rex said

"No, what I want to look at is something out of this content, out of this planet" Arima said and the two beast fell in stupor "Dryads are extremely good at controlling long range magic, I want that ability to find what I want"

Hieran thought for a moment "I see, well, I can't really arrange a meeting or something of the sort but I can bring you there" Hieran finally said

Arima laughed "It's fine, of she doesn't want to listen, I'll make her"

The two beasts smirked "If you do it, maybe we'll owe you one more favor" They said and began to lead Arima towards the core of the forest.

Just a few minutes after leaving the mountain, Arima suddenly felt something in his soul and looked into it. While walking with Rex and Hieran, he fell silent. He smiled after a few seconds, his chest glowed in a red light.

"{Go test it for me}" He sent a message and continued following the two beasts.

"No problem" Night grinned and took the red light, the latter started becoming larger until it stopped when the light had the form of a great sword and was around ten meters long, which fitted Night's size. When the red glow vanished, a beautiful dark red great sword with a purple edge was revealed.

"Karma can change form by the owner's wishes" Night looked at Karma in his hand and smirked "That sounds really good" He began to chuckle

Night instantly released the first seal Arima put on Karma and the latter produced a powerful and ominous aura. Arima put three seals of Karma, he did that because he realized that because Karma is too powerful, he will risk to kill or destroy without wanting. So he decided to put some seals to get used to it progressively. Night immediately realized that when he had Karma in his hands.

Night put Karma on his shoulder and smiled towards Fayla "Round 2" He deployed his wings in a strong motion and created a wind powerful enough to maybe kill a fifth level "But let me warn you, it may not last long" Night said and kicked ground, flapped his wings just after, he arrived in front of Fayla in the blink of an eye and swung Karma.

Fayla moved her sword and tried to deviate the great sword falling on her.

Now, if we change to slow motion. Karma was coming from above vertically, Fayla swung her sword in order to hit the side of Karma's blade, but when her sword touched Karma, not only the latter didn't change its course at all, but it also snapped the instant it touched Karma. The weapon was the same, but it was like trying to fight steel with gla.s.s.

Fayla's eyes narrowed, they also glowed in a golden light and lightning appeared around her, her black dress blurred like never before and she did a side step the fastest she could. When Karma missed her, it struck the ground and completely destroyed it, a crater formed and a mile-long fissure opened in the direction of the strike.

Fayla didn't lose time and retreated "How?" She said with a trembling voice "You didn't use any mana or magic, just your physical ability. My sword was made of adamant.i.te, mithril, orichalc.u.m and gold put together by Dravinite. How can a sword make that much damage with a simple strike?"

Night smiled and took out Karma that was embedded in the ground "That's because this is the weapon of the strongest 'monster' you'll ever meet" He said and pointed Karma at her "Let's go" He said and charged at her.

Fayla had to change to the defensive, she pa.s.sed her time avoiding and escaping, although her body had healed, her mana and spirit didn't come back when she took that medicine. After all, mana is something that reside in the soul, there's no such thing as mana potion.

Even if someone inject mana in something like a bottle, that mana will disperse quickly and be useless, the only thing that can store mana are enchanted weapons, even enchanted crystals can't keep mana indefinitely, only weapons with an enchantment successfully integrated can gather and keep mana on their own thanks to wisp of soul in it. But unfortunately, someone can't draw out mana from an enchanted weapon.

But right now, there was an exception, Night was wielding Karma which is Arima's soul weapon. Him and Arima are connected together by the same soul imprint. If Night decide to do it, he can do that.

"Sorry, borrowing a bit" Night said out loud and Karma glowed a bit. Night gripped the sword and it became enveloped in fire. Karma's chemistry with fire now was completely absurd and the black flame burned terrifyingly "Well, that's just around a thousandth of your mana though" Night said wryly

What Night just did was taking a bit of mana from Arima's soul with Karma as a connector. He swung the enflamed sword against Fayla. The latter used her full power to avoid but she kept being injured at each strike. What was even more frustrating for her was how Night waved that great sword like it was nothing.

Of course, that was because Karma can change its weight at ease in function of Night's demands.

"It's time to finish" Night said and kicked Fayla away. He brought Karma to his waist and slightly bend his body. The fire surrounding the sword changed into lightning. Night smiled "That's Arima's favorite technique, hope you'll like it" He said and swung the sword "[Aeterna]"

Karma conjured a huge lunar shaped attack that flew in Fayla's direction. She already knew she had lost, and also realized that Night wasn't trying to kill her, all of his attacks aimed to places like the limbs or the abdomen, never the chest, the throat or the head and some organs. But she refused to give up as long as she could fight.

She gathered every ounce of the mana she had left and concentrated her aura.

"[Final Stand]" She chanted and two huge hands made of thunder appeared behind her and grabbed 'Aeterna'. But Karma's attack slowly began to cut the hands.

Night frowned when he saw that, if she uses all of her power now and fail to stop Aeterna, she will die "[Praemium](Explode)" He chanted and the lightning inside 'Aeterna' became uncontrollable and exploded. Night reduced the shock, so it only created an explosion covering a mile' radius zone.

After the explosion Fayla was exhausted and injured and fell on the ground unconscious.

Night breathed out and Karma transformed in red particles that entered his chest.

From the sky, Lilis was watching the whole scene. She particularly observed the sword "Karma, huh?" She mumbled "I'm sure that name, that weapon, will be famous one day" She smiled and said
