The world beyond!

"FAILED!"

Her history teacher stamp her result paper. Though she expected it but still she was so disappointed to see.

"Mrs. Chen. .can you please give me another chance?"

She pout her lips and blink her eyes many times and give her sweetest smile to look cute infront of her teacher, but to her dismay Mrs. Chen did not even bother to look at her.

"Im sorry Ms. Hanna but I've already given you too many chance. This time I could no longer do anything for you otherwise the management will hold me accountable for this."

She sigh. She could not push this matter further because of her teacher's situation. She could not afford to cause such trouble to her. It was all her fault, after all.

"I wish the land would just open and swallowed me alive!" She frowned.

Her problem is she doesn't know where the problem lies. Is it the subject itself that makes her bored or her teacher that makes her become un interested? But one thing she was sure, she felt like something is missing in her brain that even the whole HISTORY could not fill it. 

"Perhaps I am not belong in this world!" She suddenly shook her head to dismissed her nonsense thought. "So you think you're some sort of alien? Atleast, those alien knew pretty much about their history, what about you?"

"Shut up!" She told herself loudly unaware that she actually yell infront of the guidance counselor.

"Pardon?" The old lady took her gla.s.ses halfway and glared at her. She sincerely apologized to her.

"Mr. Henrick will be expecting you tomorrow at five pm in the library for your detention!"

"Again. ? That scary old ma. ." She murmured under her breathe. She did not even finished her sentence when she saw their guidance counselor's face.

This time the old lady raised her eyebrows and look at her in a very serious mode. Humors said that their counselor are terrifying, she is actually that someone capable of saying "your dead next!" even with out a word.

"Yes! Do you have any objection?" 

"No! No!" She suddenly got into her feet. Shook her head obediently and give her the sweetest smile that even a toothless would feel ashamed.

Out of her embarra.s.sment she immediately run outside the office and took a deep breath while fanning herself, she feels like being tossed in an oven. 

"What an idiot!" she almost hit herself when she realized that her notice was left inside. When you stepped into a badluck that badluck will follow you for the rest of the day.

Their counselor was not even surprised to see her again. Mrs. Lu give her again the notice of her detention. Disappointed, angry and tired. She walked out from the Guidance counselor's office, she did not even bother to look on the note she just slid it inside her pocket.

After her cla.s.s she went directly to the library to serve her detention. She completely forgot that supposedly she will going to serve her detention tomorrow at five in the afternoon. She was walking. . both of her hands on her pocket. It was as if her feet has a mind on their own.

"Grandmas surely going to kill me this time!" She squeezed her hair in desperation."why do we need to bother those who had been long dead. .and dig up their bones and secrets who cares about those. .da** people? And those places. .whoever wants to go back on those horrible times? aren't they being too much keeping their nose on someones else b.u.t.t? Haist. ! She kicked a stone.

In the distance she suddenly saw the wind swirled arround. Clouds of dust and all the papers and brown leaves that scattered in the streets rise up from the ground with a faint of rustling sound that made her tiny hair rise in fright, then suddenly one news paper covered her face that made her jumped and scream. .

Annoyed. She took it away from her face when her phone rang. 

Startled. "Idiot! It just a phone. ." She frowned. She seems to be preoccupied with something that made her startled easily. .She was frightened earlier that made her had a gooseb.u.mps plus her phone suddenly rang. .she let a hursh breath before answering the phone.

"What is it?"

There is no such word as "polite" between her and her sister.

"Haven't you miss me?"

No ones misses trouble! She pulled away her phone and made a face while memicking her sister. .

"What is it?" She smirked. My great sister sounds like a lot of trouble more than my history subject. She smiled bitterly. "my life is surely interesting!" If she will stay her b.u.t.t out of trouble then the trouble will surely come to her uninvited. "Where is the justice?" She asked to herself.

"Grandmas coming home tomorrow."

HEAVEN. ! In her vision she suddenly saw a bunch of candle erected in the street! this is really my end!

Theres no time to panic! "I know!" She lied.

"Where are you. .Im coming to get you"

She never sense the sudden change in her sister voice. .she was too worried to care such things. .

"Never mind my driver is with me. . Im on my way to. ."

She suddenly looked up in the sky. For the first time she noticed the moon, it was round and big, she was mesmerized  by its beauty that she thinks everything momentarily froze . .it seems that time stood still.

Its too perfect the night is perfect. .

"I know. !" 

Then the magic died, realization come. .when she heard her sisters voice. .that was the last word she heard in her phone. .When she look down she was blinded by the white lights from a car that coming fast towards her. .

Then split of second, she felt like something hard b.u.mped into her then she saw herself floats in the midair. . before she pa.s.sed out she saw the driver smiled at her. .

Her eyes were covered by her own bloods. .and through her flickering sight she felt that the one she saw was somehow familiar to her. .it was my. .

"Princess. ."

She was startled when someone screams too loud. She fell into her bed and wake up from her nightmare.

"You scared me to death!"

She complain while ma.s.saging her b.u.t.t.

"Princess. .we have to hurry up today is your first appearance in the palace!"

Xin'er was in haste while pulling her up.

"First appearance. ? For what?" She wave Xin'er out while yawning.

"As a consort of crown prince!"

"As a whaaaat?"

Her eyes widened in surprised. Crown princess consort? When did I become a consort? She gives a bark of laughter. "You surely knows how to joke!"

"The day you had an accident. .his majesty personally choose you to be a crown princess consort!"

"For real?"

What.? His majesty did not have a crown prince yet why suddenly. .

"You sleep for a long time princess. .you probably forgets, it was actually you who helps his majesty to choose his successor!"

"Its me. ?" She asked while pointing herself. "why and how did I do that?"

"Haist. ." Xin'er rolled her eyes. "Princess. .lets talk about it some other time,ok? Now we need to get things done. ."

She was about to follow Xin'er when her stomach suddenly growls. Xin'er looked at her, she was asking what was the sound.

"I need something to eat!"

"Something to eat?" Xin'er laughed. while dragging her into her closet. "Eating is the least thing you wants to do, trust me!"

"What. ?" Shes was so shocked to hear it. How could that be? She always hears her tummy growls and how could she egnores it when she could not think straight if she's  hungry. "I want food!"

No matter how Xin'er drag her she refused to moved.

"I want food. !" I have to think of something to convince this silly girl that Im really hungry!

"No way we are already late. !" Xin'er stubbornly protested.

"Please. . !" She pout her lips and blink her eyes too many times but Xin'er doesn't seem to be convinced.

"No.!"

"You were really hard to convince huh. .let me see!"

She suddenly sat on the floor that made Xin'er open her mouth and closed again.

"I really want food. .please. .please!" She pout her lips and beg her.

"Ok. .ok!" Xin'er was nodding. "I don't want to lost my precious head princess.Ok I will give you" she said rolling her eyes.

When Xin'er went outside to ask food in the kitchen she was laughing wickedly.

"Thats probably the reason why my tummy keeps on growling, because they starves me to death before. .humpf"

When the food arrives her mouths watered. She begins to eat as soon as the food touch the table. Xin'er is looking at her in disbelief. Shaking her head and make silly sound with her tongue between her teeth.

"When did you become a glutton?"

"I haven't eaten anything since I slept, have I?"

When Xin'er did not answer, she continued.

"Oh yeah I remember something. . " she ask in between.

"What is that?" Xin'ers voice grows impatient.

"Do I know the old man?"

Xin'er raised her eyebrows. "which old man?"

"The emperor!" She grin. Xin'ers mouth open in shocked. 

"No. !and don't talk anything nonsense about the emperor. Walls have ears. You will be a ghost before you knew you were already. ." Xin'er wave her hands across her neck as if she was chopping it. 

"Seriously?" She feel chill all over her body. "What about the crown prince?"

Xin'er shook her head.Her spoon stop in midway.

"Then why on earth I helped him?"

Xin'er sigh. "I guess we have to figure it out. .what exactly happened and why on the day you become a princess consort you happened. . "

"What do you mean.?Wa. .what exactly happened?"

Xin'er automatically covered her mouth. Her voice was too loud and hush her.

"I really found it strange but don't worry I already send someone to investigate it!"

"What exactly happened to me?"

Before Xin'er could answer her. Someone was calling them outside.

"What is it?"

Xin'er asked.

"Im from the palace!"

"From the palace?" They asked in chorus.

"Come in!"

The girl gives her greetings to her, before she proceed.

"The crown prince sent me to inform her highness to meet. ." the girl paused and look at her, she seems to be nervous. "to. .to meet his highness in the lotus pavilion be. . before heading in the palace!" She was stuttering.

Her stomach suddenly jolts when she heard the word "Lotus pavilion  "

"Why?"

Xin'er asked suspiciously but the maid did not answer and Xin'er found it more suspicious when the palace maid refused to meet her eyes. The girl seems to be unease.

"She was hiding something." Xin'er concluded.

"Lotus pavilion? Why it seems to be familiar?" She was trying hard to remember something when she heard Xin'er ask why his highness would ask her to meet in such a remote place. . it is located in the west side of the city. .

"I was informed by a palace maid to meet my beloved, his highness in the west side of the city before heading inside the palace. .though the place is remote and abandoned, I still found it beautiful. .build in the center of manmade lake, surrounded with full bloomed lotus. .no wonder why they called it "lotus pavilion". .mesmerized by its beauty I already forgot the time. I realized that I was there for quiet sometimes. .I waited for him when suddenly, someone pushed me in the water that almost drowned me to death. . ."

"Drowned me to death. . ." Her heart beats fast. she was holding her chest and felt an unexplainable pain, it was as if something struck in there.
