She Was 18 14 Chapter 13

Serena Young smiled sweetly at him after she kissed him. His face was expressionless. He turned to face Julianna.

"Julianna, I'd like you to meet Serena and Jason Young of Chen Young Conglomerates. Meet Julianna s.h.i.+n."

She stood, "Pleased to meet you." She extended her hand to Serena but she turned her eyes to Brandon. She waited for a few seconds before the guy reached for her hand.

"Pleased to finally meet you personally Miss s.h.i.+n." He apologized, "I'm sorry my sister is moody and immature at times. If you see her around, you can always ignore her. " They both chuckled.

She was his sister. That explains the strong resemblance between them. While some of their features are strongly Asian, most of their features especially their eye color and complexion could tell that they have foreign blood.

"Please join us," she offered.

"Thank you Miss s.h.i.+n but we were here to meet some acquaintances and they're already on the other table waiting," Serena answered indifferently as she waved her hand toward the group waiting for them on the other table.

Julianna saw Brandon turn to the other direction and waved for the maître d' to come. She knew he was a VIP so he didn't wait long as the man already almost flew to his side. He whispered somehing which the man acknowlegded with a nod. He then turned to the Youngs.

"We'll leave first," while he grabbed her coat and lightly held on to her arm, leading her away from the two and out of the restaurant. She only nodded to Jason because Serena already started to walk towards the waiting group.

Jason Young stood frozen where the two left him and watched her leave with Brandon. His lips twitched in a smile before he turned to follow his twin sister, admiration for the beautiful woman who just left filled him.

Brandon led him to his car then closed the door behind her when he saw that she's comfortably seated. They were both silent as he drove the car while she pretended to stare outside the window but actually fixed her gaze at his image mirrored on the car's window. She thought of the beautiful woman and the kiss she just witnessed them share. She could not understand why, but deep inside there was a part of her that wished he had no feelings for her.

"Did I pa.s.s your a.s.sessment?" He asked without taking his gaze away from the road ahead them.

"What?" She was just caught redhandedly but would die first before she admits it.

He just smiled and quickly glanced at her. "We're not in a romantic relations.h.i.+p," he said. "Their father and your grandfather had been business partners before. They invested in a lot of businesses around the world thus they are known in the business world."

"How did you meet her?"

He threw her a side glance before he answered. "On the day I left for the US."

"She's beautiful," she told him and glanced at him, curious about his reaction.

"Yeah," he answered. She jolted as the car suddenly went to a full stop. "But no one can compare to you." His hand swiftly moved to hold her chin, tilted her head to an angle and gave her a quick kiss.
