"Mother......Hua Dangjia.......You are here!  This is great!........"  Ying Xue Wen had a hand over his chest and he was gasping as he stood in front of them.

"What's wrong?  You're sweating."  Song Qing Lian held up her handkerchief to wipe off his sweat.

Ying Xue Wen pulled down his Mother's hand and said angrily.  "Elder Brother is too much!  Do you know that just now Luo Ji Cai came to our residence?  Elder Brother did not beat him up but he also invited him to sit in the main hall for a long time.  He even sent someone to see him to the door!  Is there any heavenly justice?!"

Ying Xue Wen felt so angry that he clenched his hands into fists.

"And Elder Brother also sent people to guard the entrance of my courtyard to prevent me from going out to cause trouble!  If I was not prevented from leaving, I would have beaten up that beast, Luo Ji Cai, so badly that he would not be able to get up from his bed for three months!"

Hua Ming Zi felt so angry that she clenched her hands into fists before she could make a sound.

Thinking that she would also have a day when she would be dizzily affected by her emotions, she actually forgot that she and Ying Yan Long were totally not in tune regarding this Luo Ji Cai's matter.

Ying Yan Long may be accustomed to everyone listening to him but she is also the same!

"Xue Wen, you still don't know the reason why your Elder Brother is doing this.  Don't make any comments."  Song Qing Lian looked nervously at the angry expression on Hua Ming Zi's face and her tightened lips.

"Elder Brother only wants to refrain from doing anything just to pacify people!  He only wants to make money and does not even differentiate the good from evil!"  Ying Xue Wen shouted.

"Ying Dangjia's actions are correct."  Hua Ming Zi spoke up.  Her hands that were clasped tightly together were covered with blue veins.

"The Ying Family is a prestigious family and runs a big business but the Luo Family's background is not any normal person can handle.  What I encountered actually should not involve the Ying Family and should be solved by myself." 

Hua Ming Zi looked at Ying Xue Wen and she managed to squeeze out a smile on her lips. 

"I understand your feelings of righteousness.  You should not feel angry."

There was a tingling feeling of pain in her heart and a feeling of disappointment that rushed up to her heart.  She refused to think of it for the time being.

Maybe Ying Yan Long wants to marry her but he also did not want to offend the Luo Family.  However, she is unable to swallow this and she does not want Luo Ji Cai to do whatever he wants and cause harm to others again.

For this, she is willing to give up her own marriage!

"Don't worry."  Ying Xue Wen came up to her and wanted to hold her hand but his Mother was sitting beside her.  He could only put fold his hands behind his back and looked at her with deep affection.  "Marry me and I will protect you......."

"How are you going to protect her?  Tell me about your plan."  Ying Yan Long's cold voice was like a big knife that sliced between Ying Xue Wen and Hua Ming Zi. 

Ying Xue Wen's face turned red and he turned around to look at the face of his Elder Brother.

"Elder Brother, I want to marry Lady Hua!  I also want to be married in the shortest time!  I want Luo Ji Cai to know......." 

"Go out."  Ying Yan Long said between his teeth.

"Elder Brother!  I've made up my mind!  It is useless for you to stop me!"  Ying Xue Wen said loudly.

Ying Yang Long pressed his lips together and took a step towards Ying Xue Wen.

When Hua Ming Zi saw Ying Xue Wen shrank and saw the Old Madam had a worried expression, she sat up and said. 

"Second Young Master, thank you for saving my life and your high favor.  I've decided not to marry in this life, lest when I deal with Luo Ji Cai, I will endanger my future husband."

"What did you say you want to do?"  Ying Yan Long wrinkled his eyebrows and stared at her.

Hua Ming Zi instantly met the eyes of Ying Yan Long and said slowly. 

"What I want to do, I don't have to report to Ying Dangjia.  Since Second Young Master had saved my life, the Hua Family will repay this debt.  Therefore, Ying Dangjia has no right to control me."

"Marry me and I will take revenge for you!"  Ying Xue Wen wanted to go forward to seize the hand of Hua Ming Zi but he was stopped by his Mother.

Then Ying Yan Long nodded to his Mother.

Song Qing Lian pulled the arm of Ying Xue Wen and said softly to him.  "Xue Wen, accompany Mother to return first."

"I don't want!"  Ying Xue Wen stood still and had a dead-pan expression on his face.

Ying Yan Long folded his arms over his chest and glared at Ying Xue Wen.

"Someone come!"  Before Ying Yan Long had finished his words, two guards appeared at the door.

"No need to call for anyone."  Song Qing Lian grasped her younger son's arm and said in a low voice.  "Mother doesn't feel well.  Accompany Mother back, do you hear me!"

Ying Xue Wen looked angry but he did not want to go against his Mother.  Reluctantly, he supported his Mother and as he walked out of the chamber, he turned his head around and said to his Elder Brother. 

"The more you want to intervene, the more I want to marry her!"

"I didn't ask for your opinion."  Ying Yan Long said sternly.

Hurriedly, Song Qing Lian pulled her younger son out and Cui Yu who was standing at the side also withdrew to stand outside the door.  The chamber had suddenly grown so quiet that only the breathing of the two people could be heard.

Ying Yan Long looked at Hua Ming Zi's face which had finally recovered some traces color.  When he recalled the words that she had said just now, his face suddenly became very strict. 

Why can't she be obedient and take care of her health? 

When Hua Ming Zi saw that he was still staring at her, she did not avoid his gaze and stared back at him, but her hands were sweating and clasped tightly together.

She is a businesswoman and can understand Ying Yan Long's way of dealing with Luo Ji Cai but she knows that what she is hoping for is another way to deal with him......a way that can protect her, a way that does not take anything into consideration.

However, if it was her in his place, she would also be the same as him and take everything into consideration.  Then why should she expect him to make a different choice just for her?  Even if he had guarded over her for so many days and even if they seemed to appreciate each other, so what? 

Ying Yan Long stared at her.  He walked over to the couch and leaned forward.

"You rejected Ying Family's marriage and wants to take revenge on Luo Ji Cai.  What do you intend to do?"  He asked.

"You don't have the right to control me.  I will not get the Ying Family involved."  She replied coldly.

"Luo Ji Cai has already come to Ying Mansion.  Do you still want to put a distance between our relations.h.i.+p?  Besides, I have already told Luo Ji Cai about our marriage."  He snorted.

Hua Ming Zi took a breath and she shrank back.  But behind her was the wall and she could not move back any further.  So she could only stare at him as he placed his hands on either side of her face on the wall to imprison her between his arms. 

Only that, his stance showed he is in control and she does not intend to let him have his way.

"I am deeply sorry to have pulled the Ying Family into this.  Since we are not married yet, I will not let the Ying Family be involved."  She said.

"I won't let you do something which you know you can't do."  He spoke through his teeth.

"Who told you I will do something which I know I can't do?!"

"I just know."  He held her chin and prevented her from dodging him.  "Do you think you can afford to provoke Luo Ji Cai?"

"I only have one life, so why can't I afford to provoke him?"  Hua Ming Zi reached out to push him away but both her hands were restrained by him.

"Then what about the lives of the people of the Hua Family and the workers in the Hua Ji Restaurants?"

 "This is a personal grudge between me and Luo Ji Cai!"  She struggled but she was unable to break free, so she glared at him.

"What if he gets someone to go to your shop to cause trouble saying that there are factional leaders or bandits in your restaurants?  Then every two or three days, the guards and officers of Yamen will be sent to hara.s.s you.  How will you continue to do business?"  He asked seriously. 

"Are there no laws governing the capital city?"  She widened her eyes and she was so angry that her body trembled.

"The people who died without reason in prison, are there any less?  Luo Ji Cai is the only son in the family and even if he had made a grave mistake, his Father will try his best to save his son's life.  I told you I will help you to get your revenge and teach Luo Ji Cai a lesson."

"How are you going to teach him?  Verbally?"  She sneered.  She saw the anger in his eyes and she continued.  "I don't need your help.  I will settle this grudge myself."

"Your affair is my affair."

"On what basis?"  She raised her chin and glared at him.

"This."  With one hand he seized her waist then he lowered his head to kiss her on the lips.

She sucked in her breath.

"Let......go........."

Just as she opened her mouth, his tongue slipped in, burning her.

She had walked the business arena for so long and she is clear about the so-called relations.h.i.+p between men and women.  She had even read a few books on love and pleasure but she had not really experienced it.  So in a panic, she wanted to move back but she did not get her wish.

His big hand clasped the back of her head and he became more aggressive, entangling with her tongue.  Her body trembled slightly and she felt herself going soft, then gradually she melted into his arms.

Her softness and her rare yielding to him made him bolder in taking advantage of her.  He loosened his hold to let her slip onto the bed and unable to bear parting with her, he continued to entangle with her tongue, teasing her and demanding from her.

"I......can't breathe......"  She said with her eyes closed and she turned her face slightly sideways. 

Ying Yan Long was alarmed and immediately released her.  "Are you alright?"

She pressed her lips together and with a red face, she shook her head slightly.

When he looked at the captivating sight of her red lips after being kissed and her light movements of gasping for breath, he felt emotional again.  But when he thought of her physical condition, he sighed.  With gentle movements, he pulled up the quilt to cover her body from her neck down.

Hua Ming Zi breathed a sigh of relief and thought that finally, there was some distance between them.

"Ah!......"  She let out a light cry.  Together with the quilt, she was suddenly bundled up and put on his lap. 

"I was rude.  I forgot about your injuries that had yet to heal."  He stared at her and his eyes were smiling.

Looking at the intimacy between the two people, her mind blanked out and for a moment, she forgot to berate him.

He saw the rare blank look on her face and could not help but smile.

Instantly, she glared at him.  "Let me go."

He smiled.  In his mind, no matter what expression she has on her face, he would not feel bored looking at her.

"Why are you laughing?!  Let me go!"  She felt annoyed and her eyes grew sharper as she glared at him but her shyness was still evident on her face.

"I don't want to."  He laid his hand gently but firmly on her waist and pulled her a little closer to his body.  In a low voice, he said.  "Don't worry, I won't mess with you in your current condition."

"Who will believe you?!  Just now you were messing around with me!"  She glanced at him and then quickly s.h.i.+fted her eyes away.  She felt her ears starting to heat up and turning extremely red.

"Wrong."  He locked eyes with her.  Looking at her blus.h.i.+ng cheeks, the affection in his heart deepened.  Her display of stubbornness and shyness made him even more reluctant to let her go at this moment. 

"Just now.........that was not 'messing around'..... it was 'uncontrollable emotions'."  He brushed his thumb over her lips and his eyes darkened.

He is taking advantage of her again!  She widened her eyes and without a thought, she grabbed his hand and gave him a fierce bite.

He did not even frown and just smiled at her with an appearance like he was pampering a pet.

"Let's get married tomorrow and you will be my wife."  He said.

"Are you crazy?!"

"I went crazy after seeing you."  He only wants to hold her honorably and openly.  Anyone who sees them should withdraw with understanding and not like now, holding her discreetly.

"I can't bear children.  As the eldest son of the Ying Family, you have to be responsible for the continuation of the family name."  She felt a pain in her chest and she stared at him.  "Don't even think that I will agree to let you take concubines."

"Does this answer means you agree to marry me?"  His smile became even wider and bowing his head, he brushed his nose against hers.

"No!"  She pushed his shoulder.  She breathed in the smell of herbs on his body and the blush on her cheeks refused to fade.  "I mean, my husband is not allowed to take concubines."

"This husband had heard and agrees not to take any other wife or concubine."  He said into her ear.

She trembled and used all her strength to push him.

"Don't always take advantage of me!"

"How about I let you take advantage of me?"  He pointed to his lips.

Hua Ming Zi felt that the total number of times she had ever blushed in her life was even less than the blushes she had had today. 

She turned her face away and said in a stuffy tone. 

"You......you.......you.......don't use the words that you normally use in the entertainment houses to show off......"

"I don't go to those entertainment houses nor have I ever said those words between men and women, to anyone else.  I only said those words because of you."

He turned her face around to make her look into his dark eyes and continued.  "You don't have to worry about the matter of family descendants.  In future, Xue Wen can have a few more children and I will raise them from young.  I'm sure there should be at least a child with business talent."

She looked at him and she was still frowning.

"You......really will not regret this?"

"I can't let you marry anyone else."  Ying Yan Long held up her chin and his eyes darkened.  "And you must not even think of marrying anyone else."

"But......"  She thought of Luo Ji Cai........she did not want to give up her revenge on him.

"Listen well.  I will not let you deal with Luo Ji Cai."  He pinched her lips to prevent her from speaking. 

Once again, she was surprised by the tacit understanding between both of them, so she looked into his eyes and listened to him.

"The dowry I will be giving you is......I will not allow Luo Ji Cai to continue with his evil behavior and cause harm to others.  I will weed and destroy the roots*.   You have to trust me."

(Weed and destroy the roots means to eliminate everything completely without leaving any hope of revival.)

She knotted her eyebrows even tighter. 

It is not that she does not trust him but she does not dare to trust him completely, because she had never trusted anyone and she only trusted herself!

"Luo Ji Cai had harmed my woman, therefore, I will not let him go off scot-free."  Ying Yan Long looked at her thin face and when he thought of her being bullied and humiliated, his face turned solemn. 

"Then.......your younger brother and me......."

"Both of us have mutual feelings for each other and Xue Wen is an understanding person."

"But......"

"You are still not married to me yet but why is it you have turned into a nagging old woman?"  He asked with his eyebrows raised.

Hua Ming Zi delivered a hard slap on his shoulder.

He did not expect the strength of her slap was so great and he was caught by surprise.  Then he laughed out loud.  "Now you have the strength to beat people.  It can be seen that the medicines in my Ying Medical Halls are of excellent quality."

"It's good that you feel the pain, so it's better for you to provoke me less."  She raised her chin and said.

Ying Yan Long laughed as he grabbed her hand and placed a kiss on the back of her hand.  "This is the hand that had slapped on the table in front of Luo Ji Cai and caused the table to collapse.  I saw it with my own eyes."

"You were there at that time?"  She widened her eyes in surprise.  Then she smirked smugly and said.  "That time, Luo Ji Cai came to cause trouble every day.  That table was placed there according to my instruction to give him a scare.  The spot where it should be hit to make it collapse was calculated."

Ying Yan Long leaned closer and his eyes were full of praise.  "Actually, I had already guessed.  I had also thought that if you were not a woman, I would have long established a friends.h.i.+p with you.  I did not expect that today I am able to hold your hand and grow old with you."

Hua Ming Zi exchanged looks with him.  She felt moved and her body trembled slightly.  Can she believe that he will not let Luo Ji Cai off lightly and believe that finally there is someone who is willing to walk shoulder to shoulder together with her?

"After knowing that I am unable to give birth, I have already prepared myself to adopt the younger generation of the Hua Families and planned to continue to guard the Hua Family for the rest of my life."  She said.

"You have to take care of your health first.  I will handle the matters of the Hua Family for you."  Ying Yan Long hugged her tightly.  His heart ached for her and felt distressed that she is unable to take a rest even when she is still sick.

"No, the Hua Family is my responsibility."  She knew that she should sit up straight but his arms felt so warm and leaning on his shoulder, she did not want to move.

"Isn't it better to have me, one more person to help guard over the Hua Family?"  He hugged her and swayed her gently as if he was swaying a child.  She did not reply nor did she struggle and just let him hold her, enjoying the happiness of being taken care of.

She is still not used to relying on anyone but if the person is him.......she is willing to give it a try.
