Transfer Into NPC World 23 Hide & Seek

"Please Mister.....Can I hide in this room?"

Even though it just a hide and seek game, I just don't want weird rumors about it spread but I guess maybe I am just overthinking. I let Princess Melia enter my room.

"Mister, can you promise to not tell the maid that I hiding here?"

"Okay..."

Princess Melia then shut the door as she quickly hides under the bed. After a few minutes, I hear my door being knocked by someone. I suspect that it was the maid that play hide and seek with the princess. I open the door gently as the maid apologizes to me as they were interrupting my rest.

"We are sorry, Sir to interrupt your rest but did you see Princess Melia around here?"

Should I tell them but hey I already made a promise to the princess. "No, but why are you searching for the princess."

The maid told me that Princess Melia was skipping her dance lessons and they need to find the princess or else her mother will be mad at them. I should never let her in and made a promise to her, now I caught up in this problem.

"Please tell us if you see Princess Melia around here, We are sorry again to interrupt your rest." The maid then leaves the area to continue their search for the princess.

I tell Princess Melia that the maid is already gone and she can come out from her hiding. After hearing my word, Princess Melia crawls out under my bed and thanks me.

"Thank you, Mister, here some candy for you..."

I took the candy that given for me, I never candy as it always tastes weird for me so I give the candy to Lily. Princess Melia was pretty upset when I give the candy to Lily.

"What's wrong, Princess Melia?"

"I give it to you but you give it to this girl instead of eating it yourself."

I apologize to Princess Melia as I explain to her that I don't like sweet things and that's why I give it to Lily instead. Princess Melia was still not happy as her facial expression look angry but a few minutes later she calms down a bit and then she asks me a question.

"Mister what are you doing here? I never saw your face around here."

"I am a diplomat sent by the Golkiem Kingdom and...." I was interrupted by Princess Melia as she suddenly pops another question to me, asking me what is a diplomat. "A diplomat is a person appointed by one kingdom to conduct diplomacy with one or more another kingdom."

I could tell that Princess Melia still did not understand what a diplomat means. As I try to explain, she pops another question again.

"What ... Your name is Mister... My name is Princess Melia."

I told her that my name was Arias and this girl beside me is Lily, my daughter. "And we..." Someone is knocking the door as Princess Melia quickly hides under the bed again.

Today truly a day full of interruption, can't I rest peacefully. I then head to the door and open it up to see who it was. It was the two maids again as they asking me if Princess Melia had been here recently as someone has seen the princess walk down this particular hallway a few minutes ago. I just give them the same answer that I give them earlier.

The maid then apologizes to me and leaves to search for the princess again. I close my door and told Princess Melia that they already left. Princess Melia crawls out under the bed and gives me another candy to thanks me but I reject.

"I appreciate the offer princess, you should give it to my daughter instead." I then start to ask a question to Princess Melia.

"Princess? Are you really playing hide and seek with the maids or you just skipping your dance lesson?" Princess Melia says that it was true that she was skipping her dance lesson as she tries bribing me with her candy to make sure that I will give her back to the maids.

"Here is all of my candy... Please, mister, don't tell the maid that I'm here." She gives me all of her candy to me.

"Don't worry, I will not tell the maid but can you tell me why you skipping your lesson."

Princess Melia told why she skips her lesson and that is because she was tired to learn all of that. All of her teachers always mad at her as she doesn't do well in her lesson especially the dance lesson. She also told me that her mother, Princess Elna don't care about her and she always busy with her work.

After I hear why she acted like this, I understand it but at the same times, I feel sorry for the maids as they the one that gets scolded by Princess Melia mother if her daughter skips the lesson.

"Princess? Did you know that your mother will be mad at the maids that took care of you if you skip your lesson."

Princess Melia shakes her head as she doesn't know about it.

"You know how it feels to get scold by the teacher right, so how do you think the maids feel when they get scolded by your mother then?"

Princess Melia seems to understand what I mean as her face seems to feel guilty about it. "So let's head to your cla.s.s as it would be the right thing to do."

"Okay... but can you sent me to the dance lesson room," I ask her why and I don't know where is the room.

Princess Melia told me she will guide me there but the reason she wants me to go with her is that his dance teacher will be angry with her being late.

"No problem Princess, I will accompany you there...So no need to be afraid."
