"Ouch. I keep waking up in pain. This better not be a habit, cause I ain't no m.a.s.o.c.h.i.s.t who would enjoy this s.h.i.+t."

Everyone's heads shot up. "He's awake!"

I groan. There's no word for the slimy of ouch I'm feeling. Oh wait there is. Agony. Oooh yeah. Sweet mana that hurts. Yeah I'm aware it's a bad pun, don't out me!

'Who's the idiot who sent me out to fight and didn't just pull the family in to safety and poison them all with the trap cause he was angry? Ah yes. I'm that idiot.'

I sat up, seeing Touka kneeling next to me, hands held up as if uncertain what to do. Luna was looking over, and I could see the mother and her children dressed in animal skins roughly sewn together. k.u.miko was sitting at the fire along with Isen, both looking over with concern, and Fenrir was nestled against me.

"Uhh... hi?" I tried lifting my arm to wave, only to wince as a sharp pain broke through the endless dull ache in my shoulder. I looked over and saw a bandage wrapped around my left hand, up my arm, and around my shoulder as well.

"Don't move too much. I did my best, but Healing Mist and Healing Light don't work well with deep wounds."

I sighed and waved my less injured arm at Touka. "It's fine, I'll just have to figure out some more specialized healing spells." I laughed a small bit, then winced as pain cut through my gut and ribs.

I looked down.

"Whew, that's a lotta bandages. Where did we even get these?"

Touka bowed her head. "I asked the Dungeon to materialize them with its energy."

'...huh? You can spend DP when I'm disabled for this kinda stuff?'

I shook away that realization.

I smiled over at the family. "Hey, how you doing?"

The mother shrank back a tad as her children went behind her, peeking out at me.

I looked to Luna. "What's their issue?"

"They're scared of you."

'???' "I'm confused."

"Well... do you... remember what you were doing in that fight?"

I began to sweat a little bit. 'Had I... done something weird?'

"Uhh... well I woke up hearing the fight outside, and ran out to see you... well... going at it like a madman."

'...uh... did I? I'm pretty sure I'm not the kinda person who likes to fight. I don't think I would brutally go at it to the death of my own choice.' I asked, with much trepidation, "how so?"

"Well... you didn't hold anything back. I watched you stab a man, and as he blocked it, you bit his undefended ear off."

'Uh... ew.'

"You kept screaming, singing notes, and spinning around wildly attacking and bending around. You looked like a hurricane, as your tail kept whipping out."

'I remember... sticking my tail out to keep my balance as I spun?'

"Aaaaand, the entire time you were chucking out Healing spells on yourself, fireb.a.l.l.s at the enemy, and so many blades of wind I couldn't try to count."

"47." Interjected Isen.

"Oh so that's how many. Thanks Sir Isen." Uh when did Luna start calling him that?

"Plus you were throwing yourself into injuries. As more arrived they shot crossbow bolts at you, and you didn't even avoid them. You just let them hit and kept killing even when you were shot or slashed. It was only till you took a bolt to the shoulder that it changed..."

Luna's tears began to fall, and the mother stared with some hesitation, until Touka picked it up.

"Then you fell under many swords and spears as you couldn't lift your arm out of the way, and got stabbed through the hand, and all the other weapons fell on you. Yet you still kept throwing magic at them. You killed quite a lot, but only because you allowed such extensive injuries to yourself."

I look over at my bandaged hand.

Then a thought crosses my mind. I couldn't think too much about the killing. I know if promised to face things head on, but that particular slice of memory is something I have no trouble ignoring right now. So I went down that separate train of thought.

'Hey I'm supposed to have some sort of Healing Racial ability right? Where the h.e.l.l is it?' I went to look at my profile, and stopped seeing how many changes had occurred.

Name: Sir Lord

Race: Kitsune(Foxkin)/Dungeon Construct

Cla.s.s: Dungeon Boss

Age: 15

Strength: 11

Agility: 14

Perception: 13

Durability: 8

Soul: 25

Mana: 110/110

Mana Regeneration: 1 per Second

"..." Well. My stats had changed. My Agility and Perception have grown, while strength and durability fell. That seems kinda bad. The falling part.

Also hey! More mana! Also AHH! That NAME!

I hate the name thing that the Dungeon is doing. Like, my name is very clearly Kyo... Kyo...

"Kyo... Kyo... AAAAAAAAGH! I almost HAD IT!"

Everyone jumped as I began to freak out a bit.

"Almost had what?" Asked Fenrir, with a quizzical tilt of the head as his way of asking.

"MY NAME! I almost had it! It starts p.r.o.nounced like 'Kee-oh' for the first syllable!"

That cause a bit of a stir, but more among beings of the Dungeon as they reacted. it almost seemed like they all had a small jolt. I gave them a puzzled look, but with no answer forthcoming I went back to looking at my stats.

t.i.tles:

Favorite of the Source(Mana Regeneration Buff Effect)

Incomplete Lifeform(Slow Decay)

Spell Craftsman(Mana Structures are More Easily Comprehended)

RaIcial Talents:

Regeneration(Kitsune)

Flame Immunity(Kitsune)

Elemental Resistance(Dungeon Construct)

'I do have a regeneration thing! Also I wonder how the heck the other two work. Does fire not burn me, and other elements do less? Wait why am I asking, just use a.n.a.lyze!'

So Regeneration makes it so I heal about x2.5 faster than a human. Apparently it would be stronger, if not for the whole "part artificial thing".

Also flame immunity doesn't mean I can't be burned, heat still hurts/kills. I just can not be set aflame. It's like anything I wear becomes flame r.e.t.a.r.dant along with me.

Elemental Resistance is pretty self explanatory.

Now... what happened to my skills I wonder? Cause I was just chucking stuff everywhere, and think I was healing myself at some points too.

"There's a max?"

Luna's voice cut through. "Sir what on earth do you keep looking at and what are you yelling about?"

"..." ah. s.h.i.+t. Um...

"It's nothing, just some changes to my stats."

"Did you evolve!? But you look the same..."

"Don't think I did yet..."

So uh. Yeah. Apparently 5 is the max level until I evolve. Also hot d.a.m.n a lotta things improved.

My ability to sense emotions is Empathy I bet, most of my combat skills have gained levels, and while 'Dagger Arts' have become blade arts because I'm now versatile enough to wield similar weapons without losing Proficiency, it still feels far off from 'Blade Mastery'. How high above me are you Isen?

Plus how is flame weapon Tier-2? Oh wait. How is a spell that somehow makes FLAME SOLID not actually a higher tier? How the actual f.u.c.k did I do that? It makes... no sense.

"So... we might have to wait for that trip Sir."

I looked up at Luna and said "no, we need to go now..."
