The bottom half of the blade was made out of bronze, but at slightly-before the halfway point, it became the blackened steel.

The amounts were equal I could tell, but more of the blade was steel as bronze made up the handle under the leather.

However, where the two metals met, they swirled into a Yin-Yang of golden bronze and blackened steel, with a little circle of the other metal within the 'eye' of the swirling metals "center", or rounded end interlocked.

The bronze swirled up one end and ended rounded above, while the steel swirled down the other end to end rounded below, both interlocked perfectly.

The blade itself was only 3 centimeters in width, but it seemed very sharp and mystical, and was about 90 centimeters long, nearly a full meter on the blade alone!

Yet it truly didn't feel heavy...

"Alright, you and your chumps will be safe did the next while, so I'll set them to sleep."

"Goodbye, strange fox. You should hurry up and get a stronger body, with less issues. I doubt we'll ever meet again, don't worry, so it's unlikely that this issue will occur yet again for you."

'Wh! Just leaving like that?!'

"Yup! If I ever see you again, then we must be strongly fated to one another!"

My minds came back together, whole yet again, as he moved my body to sheath the sword.

Stopping halfway, he awkwardly chuckled and used magic to resize the sheath to its new shape(when the knife grew for me, I had to attach leather onto it and cut out the ends!), making it a whole sheath without my patchwork sewing.

He sheathed the blade at my hip, and I felt his presence leave me as glowing particles left my body, recreating his form as he gave me a slight bow, and vanished into a ripple in s.p.a.ce.

<...oh good="" he's="" gone.="" i="" was="" scared="" to="" speak,="" a="" being="" such="" as="" him="" might've="" noticed="" my="" existence="" attached="" to="" yours="" at="" this="" stage.="">

'Is that bad?'

I accepted that, cause honestly what else could I do?!

I finally started to move again, attempting to turn my head to look at the other two who he said he'd put to sleep(hopefully literally and not the murder kind), but the second I moved pain came like a tidal wave, slamming through my entirety and I instantly blacked out as it hit.

The body of the young Foxkin hit the floor, crumpled at the knees, unconscious.

On the top of the mountain, the fox G.o.d senses a disturbance in s.p.a.ce as the man from before appeared.

The two stood in place, regarding one another.

"Why is one of your kind in this realm?" The Fox G.o.d finally asked, curiosity evident.

"A disturbance in this realm's fate occurred, and I felt curious. I didn't expect to find one capable of feeling the affect of my travel here who was mortal however..."

"Who?"

"That child of yours climbing this mountain as we speak."

The Fox raised an eyebrow.

"Ohohoho... that is interesting..."

"You didn't grant him such an ability?"

"No, as far as I know that's all his own."

The man laughed. "Now I really am interested."

A third presence became apparent just before a streak of heavenly light fell from the skies, a being of the celestial realm come to this one.

In a few kingdoms bordering the woods of EverMaples, a rare few great wizards or astronomers noticed what this was and warned their kings that a divine being had come to the mortal world in an incarnate form.

On the mountain, a bird with graceful and long tail feathers burning with icy fire sat beside the other two.

The bird was the size of a house easily, with a wingspan x3 of that.

The strange scene of the dying G.o.d/demon, Divine Beast who came just for this conversation, and the strange realm traveler continued, as the traveler told of what he'd heard of the young Kitsune's thoughts and answers.

"Hmm..." the Fox G.o.d sat, quietly thinking.

Finally the silence broke, as the Phoenix spoke. "Old fox, you're thinking of attempting to gift him your inheritance, aren't you?"

The traveler have a sarcastic stare to the Phoenix. "Well yeah, every G.o.d has at least one Avatar who wields their legacy."

"I mean all of it."

"!" Surprise flickered across the strangers impa.s.sive face, as he turned to regard the Fox.

"Do you WANT him to die?"

The Fox looked up, a solemn silence.

"Would you help me?"

The Phoenix sighed, a heartbroken tone in its voice as it asked; "How could I not fulfill what will be your final request of me, teacher?"

The traveler stood. "I will also help you, as I still feel a bit guilty for accidentally s.c.r.e.w.i.n.g him up a bit. Plus I want to see if he's as capable as I think. Hopefully he gets here soon, my accident will speed up the decaying process by a lot."

"...can we do it with only 2 mediators?" Asked the Phoenix.

"Who else do we have?" Countered the traveler.

"...call Milaki. She owes me quite a bit for what her temper-tantrum cost my children." The others fell silent at the Fox's words, still filled with anger after all these years.

"The demon Thorn, owes me for the death of my children as well. He will balance the light of Milaki and the use of both sides will help."

The Phoenix drew itself up, its wings opened, as it prepared to go and send the message of the debts the Fox G.o.d was finally collecting.

With a ripple of light and some cold air, it disappeared instantly.

"What will you do until then, oh Traveler of Realms?"

"I'm going to go to a realm where Hitler won WWII and draw a mustache on him as he sleeps again. This'll be my eighth time, but d.a.m.n if it ain't fun."

The fox nodded at this. "I do not know of this person, but all the best. I hope you will keep to what you said about helping."

The traveler waved his hand, completely relaxed.

"Don't worry, I might even be able to convince some others to help out. It's a tricky process after all."

The traveler ripples and vanished once more, but as he did so he felt curiosity to the conclusion of the events he'd accidentally triggered.

'Those given the power of a G.o.d as an "inheritance", the wielders of a Divine Legacy, the demiG.o.ds... each have been great peoples, above the power of any ordinary mortal.'

He smiled, and spoke to himself inside the colorless, dark abyss he was within, the Void Between Realms.

The river of souls was the entirety of the universe, but the Void was the emptiness between worlds where the river didn't flow. You could think of it as a dimension stretched between all the others, supporting them on itself, while the river was the view of it all from above.

"Young fox... Kyoku. It is obvious that one requires a strong soul to survive the inheritance, and become more than mortal."

As a screech echoed, a being of the void began to move, something grown and evolved out of the bits of existence outside the universes themselves. Such beings often were of a size completely impossible within a reality, and so big you wouldn't even be able to process its entirety close up.

The traveling stranger turned to face shadow visible in the distance, as a beast the size of a planetary object came into focus, yet still so far away that in any other realm, it would take over an hour even by light speed.

As if uncaring of the size of the behemoth coming towards him at a speed beyond that of reality, he continued to mutter in excitement.

"But, you are not gaining one legacy... but 2, bound as one!"

"Never before has a DemiG.o.d of two legacies existed... not to mention, as the G.o.d is dying, you won't just get an incarnates power, but the true legacy of a G.o.d, including whatever divine essence exists within their core itself."

"Even with your soul... with your capabilities and adaptability, I wonder: will you survive?"

The man laughed, and as the beast bigger than even the sun of earth came closer, he casually swung a hand, and it was split directly in half, both half's flying past him and on, into the Void.
