In Another World With Common Sense 3 The "Protagonist"

"It's the Xiao Clan tras.h.!.+" Noah heard someone say that in the crowd and people started murmuring all of sudden while looking at a certain direction. The direction they were looking at had a handsome teenage boy with sword-like eyebrows and long black hair. His gaze showed his strong will.

Some people don't know what was happening and were curious about this Xiao Clan trash, so others started explaining to them. Xiao Long was born in the Xiao Clan, one of the four great families of Blue Jade City, but his inborn talent was very low compared to other people, even normal youngsters from poor families had greater talent than him. His only parent alive was his uncle, his father and mother died for reasons unknown to the public. His uncle showered him with precious herbs and pills from birth to increase his inborn talent but even then it was still bad.

He was bullied in his clan from little, even the servants looked down on him, with his older brother Xiao Ming being one of the princ.i.p.al bullies. Oh, and he was one of the arrogant young masters earlier by the way.

Unlike the other arrogant guys, Xiao Long got in the line like any normal person should. Even then, for reasons unknown to Noah, people were sending gazes filled with disdain towards him. It was weird, there's no reason for unknown people to look down on him. It was like he was the world public enemy, people are mean to him for no reason at all.

Suddenly, Xiao Ming, one of the young masters and his brother snorted angrily and said something to his group.

"This piece of trash can't even enter the sect with his talent, he came today to make our clan lose face in front of the other four great clans" He glared at Xiao Long with a 'I will teach you a lesson later' stare. Xiao Long didn't even blink like he was used it. Unfortunaly, this only made Xiao Ming even more angry.

Xiao Long turn soon came, and he got near the table with all the crowd staring at him, like it was some sort of show. Some were even making weird smiles. The chair elder was staring at Xiao Long like he don't expected anything from him. Even with all that, he put his hand in the stone without changing his expression.

The stone glowed a light green, the color Noah found out it means Low Talent, but the green was weird. The other youths with Low-High talent also had the stone glow light green, but it always had some dark green spots, unlike the pure light green he was seeing now.

The chair elder made a slightly surprised expression by the green color purity, but soon regained his expressionless face and said "Low-High Talent, you are qualified. Next!" Xiao Long got into the corner of the soon to be sect disciples and stayed there alone, no one wanted to come near him for whatever reason. His brother was also making a expression of non understanding, probabily because Xiao Long talent was Low-Medium by what Noah heard, but soon regained his arrogant att.i.tude. Maybe people talent could change during their growth, or the pills finally had effect, he probabily was thinking stuff like that.

Noah saw Xiao Long doing a weird action after no one was paying attention to him anymore, he glanced at his hand, wich had a ring in it. He suddenly glared back at Noah direction like a hawk but Noah had already turned his head, wiping non existent sweat out of his face after he stopped glaring.

"The annual sect recruitment is over, the ones that pa.s.sed follow me, the rest can go back home." Said the chair elder, that stood up and walked on the stairway with his hands behind his back. Noah and the people that pa.s.sed followed him with expectant faces while the rest of the crowd was leaving with disapointed expressions on their faces.
