Huo Zi Feng's frosty voice rang out in the entire room as everyone was stunned by the courage of the reporter, even asking CEO Feng something like this.
"Of course not. Miss Yue, my fiancée has done nothing wrong. Instead, it is her who has been hurt this time around due to her kind heart."
He harrumphed coldly at the bunch of fools in front of him.
"Even in your profession, it appears that people no longer verify information."
But before he could even say anything else, a cry rang out in the sea of reporters.
The people around the person parted, shocking a lot of the reporters as they saw it was a pet.i.te girl who seemed to be crying hard. Pity welled in their hearts, look even her shoulders were shaking.
Obviously, this girl was Bao FeiYin. She couldn't have had a better time to enter. With Huo Zi Feng supporting the Qiu Yue that had lost all support of society, she could punish them both by throwing all blame onto them.
While they showed pity to Bao FeiYin, these reporters were like vultures. What could be better than this? They had to get as much as they could out of this situation!
They instantly went up to Bao FeiYin without wasting a breath. They showered her with questions of concern, some even went ahead and shot Qiu Yue glares drenched in contempt.
After deciding that she had caused enough drama to get their attention, Bao FeiYin hiccuped and spoke to Huo Zi Feng. Though her voice wasn't loud, everyone else shut up so even he could easily hear her.
"How could say so senior Feng...? From the beginning, miss Yue seemed to have hated me... I came here to convince others that she was innocent but hearing you talk like this... it really breaks my heart..."
As though she couldn't bear it anymore she bent her head and clutched her heart and started to sob.
Qiu Yue could feel her lips twitch. Seriously this female lead was very good at one-sided drama. But who was Qiu Yue? She had a Ph.D. in one-sided drama!
She motioned at Huo Zi Feng with her eyes. As he moved forward she moved to stop him with a hurt expression.
She started to speak into the mike, but her words were broken as though she was suppressing tears.
"This-this matter is very... hurt-hurtful to speak of...."
Huo Zi Feng who knew this wasn't real could feel his heart spasming with pain. Looking at her, though she didn't cry, it was clear she was trying to suppress tears. Though they weren't real, he couldn't stop the pain spreading in his heart.
But before she could continue, continuous cellphone pings rang out in the hall. These reporters had already set everything up such that unless very important they would not get any messages, and hearing everyone's phones Ping at the same time? They all immediately checked their phones. They also wanted to show disregard for Qiu Yue who was speaking.
Huo Zi Feng frowned with displeasure and the hurt on Qiu Yue's face deepened. But as her phone had rung too, she pulled up the articles that she had received in a message.
Some of the reporters were very fast, but respectively their faces either turned to horror, disgust, pity, and fear.
What had been released were the files Meng Hui has compiled. But all of the reporters looked towards Qiu Yue to gauge her reaction towards this.
How could professor Yue disappoint? Her eyes widened in fear and she gasped as she frantically looked towards Huo Zi Feng. To the others, it seemed as though she had had no idea, and looking at Huo Zi Feng who seemed concerned at her reaction, they could confirm neither did he.
People who had glared at Qiu Yue or mocked her were filled with fear. Till now they had done so with the confidence that nothing would happen to them as it would bring even more negative attention towards her. But with this explosive evidence of her innocence, even if they disappeared who would care?
Some of them felt disgusted with Bao FeiYin. This girl had orchestrated everything and she still had the guts to come here and make an even bigger fool out of them?
Seeing their looks Qiu Yue composer herself and spoke immediately.
"Please understand, we would not like to blame anyone if we could help it. The only reason we had to fire her was that this time someone else had gotten hurt..."
At this point, the bandages that seemed to be an act before now were genuine and to some people, they caused great pain.
Even the way she was speaking, while she didn't shed tears or beg, from the way her eyes had redeemed and her words cracking, it was obvious that this was hard for her. And didn't she say that this time others had got hurt? Didn't that mean there had been previous attempts but all on her?
"What do you mean! Miss Yue fired me unjustly... wuhuhu.."
Bao FeiYin had no idea what sort of evidence had just been put to light. She still believed that nothing could go wrong.
Instantly almost all the reporters looked at her with spite and anger, some event let out murderous intent.
Ah, cultivators?
But even the female reporter from before couldn't go back on her words anymore.
"This can all be faked! How can you prove this is all real? With Huo Zi Feng's influence-!"
"Enough!"
Qiu Yue's grip has tightened on the sides of the podium. But the moment she heard someone try to blame Huo Zi Feng she had to s.h.i.+t then up. Just because she was attracting like a pure white lotus, would she let them talk about her man?
"We weren't aware that such information would be released. Curb your att.i.tude. It is one thing to constantly barrage me with such blatantly outrageous questions. But saying such things to Senior Feng! Do you not believe your tongue will turn black and fall out?"
"The proof that these doc.u.ments are real is in them itself. While I hadn't wanted to release these, I will not allow baseless people to question Senior Feng."
Huo Zi Feng, who felt that Qiu Yue had really become agitated on his behalf instantly s.h.i.+fted his gaze onto the two troublemakers. Discerning his orders, bodyguards walked up to the two lady's and roughly escorted them out.
"Falsifying such extensive evidence to discredit whom? The only impression I have of Bao FeiYin is that she dared to lay her hands on my fiancée."
The reporters couldn't help but agree. Though he hadn't said it explicitly, who would deny that for Huo Zi Feng, he just had to make the problem disappear. Who would love life and dare to question him at the same time?
By now Bao FeiYin could feel something was wrong and being dragged out she started to scream and shout, kicking here and there. Looking at her unsightly reaction, and the words she was spewing in panic, anyone could see what sort of a person she really was.
Qiu Yue sniffed a few times, Ai really she had become irritated with those two. Bao FeiYin she had plans for but where did that random reporter come from?
But she had to keep up appearances.
"Please be careful."
She said with a slightly worn out look.
The audience could only sigh over the screams of Bao FeiYin. Such kindness, would it survive in this world?
Normally it would not, it would be chocked out by the world's darkness. But then seeing Huo Zi Feng stand resolutely next to her, who would dare to?
Of course, what seemed like kindness to others, Huo Zi Feng could see she was irritated. Though he knew that Qiu Yue didn't condone 'darker' acts little threats would do, no?
Right before the female reporter left, she heard the words she'd never forget in her life.
"Fake evidence? Do you not believe that real person itself could disappear?"
She turned to look for whoever had said it, but there was nothing. Nothing other than the chill around her neck.
Bao FeiYin, on the other hand, was dumped unceremoniously onto the sidewalk. At this point a lot of employees were outside for lunch, as soon as they saw her they felt anger bubble up. Which one of them had not heard their miss Yue be bad mouthed because of her?
They set their condemning gazes in her and surrounded her. Yao Yan walked out to see such a scene and couldn't stop herself. Qiu Yue was pretending to be innocent, but she wasn't concerned. Anyways she was a system, what could they do to her?
She stepped towards Bao FeiYin and in front of everyone, she raised her hand and slapped her.
Bao FeiYin was left with wide eyes and a very red hand print on her face.
"You actually laid hands on Qiu Yue, you must not like to live."
