The group started to venture to the Luminous Mountain Valley with high spirits . They entered the dense congregation of trees, thrilled .

They walked for several meters before they reached the depths of the mountain valley . When they arrived at the very heart of the place, the sight that welcomed them amazed the group and make them gasp in awe .

The place looks much larger inside though it was relatively darker . Because the thick canopy of the trees in the area blocks most of the light from coming in .

Yet despite the lack of light, the place still has its own kind of liveliness . It does not appear gloomy at all as compared to other places when there is an absence of light .

Human-sized mushrooms were scattered in the area and each of them was brightly colored and appears to glow in the dark .

They did not expect that they will be attacked by Barnacle Trees even before arriving at their destination .

Barnacle trees are a sentient mystical tree that spits needles as a form of retaliation to intruders . Although being p.r.i.c.ked with its needle won't pose any threat, still being p.r.i.c.ked by many needles all at the same time definitely doesn't feel good .

Since Barnacle Trees were stationary in nature and they have no way to move on their own, the range of their attack was  also bound to be limited to a specific area

This works in their favor because if these Barnacle Trees were capable of moving around, then their group might really end up incapacitated by the sheer volume of needles that will rain on them .
