SORCERESS 101 14 You Did Not Ask Part 1

"Stop right there!!!" Mu Lingxi ran towards her little black cat Ja.n.u.s. She can't explain how furious she felt when she saw her cat being bullied like that before her eyes.

Just a while ago, she felt a sudden burst of emotion coming from the link between her and her cat Ja.n.u.s. Using the mental link that she shared with Ja.n.u.s, she tried to track her cat. Who knows that right after finding where he was, she will witness someone bullying Ja.n.u.s.

On the contrary, when Long Yue heard that voice, his heart started to beat so fast. Then his eyes unknowingly focused on the most beautiful lady he could ever remember seeing in his life.

But the guy just stared back at her like a fool. When Long Yue noticed that the girl opposite him started to feel conscious due to his intense staring, he felt ashamed.

"Ehem..." he cleared his throat as he tried to straighten his back showing his full height. Mu Lingxi was just around his chest level.

"Sorry my Lady, but I can't just let go that cat easily." Mu Lingxi's body tensed up a little bit.

"That cat of yours tried to hurt my dear cat. If I were just a second late maybe that wild cat of yours already harm my poor Luna," he said with much conviction.

Mu Lingxi on the other hand look at his black cat unsure what to do. This black cat seems unreliable most of the time and always loves teasing her. But she never saw Ja.n.u.s as a wild cat just like how this gentleman describes him to be.

"MEOW!"

[That's not true! Little la.s.s, that guy was a fool! The most stupid and the dumbest one! How dare you have the face to act upright?! You don't know anything. Luna and I are in good terms. IT'S LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!!!!] Ja.n.u.s kept on shouting at the top of his lungs for this unfair treatment. If his bared pangs would just allow him, he might be gnas.h.i.+ng his teeth as well.

"Cut it off, he can't hear you anyways."

Mu Lingxi saw how furious Ja.n.u.s became that even his choice of words become crude.

"I think I might need to wash your mouth with soap later, it's getting dirty" she side commented on his cat's att.i.tude. But what makes Lingxi more stupefied was her cat's last statement.

"Love at first sight?!!! Love, at first sight, your face. You even got the nerves to settle your love affair before I even got mine?! This cat certainly needs some counseling later" Mu Lingxi decided right away.

Nevertheless, she still felt that the gentleman across her was being unreasonable. Why did he have to use some trick just to trap her poor cat? And to think that this was just a misunderstanding on his part. She won't forgive him that easy either.

"Release him right now! This is just misunderstanding" Lingxi repeated with more authority.

This is the first time that someone talks to him like that. Long Yue was amazed by Mu Lingxi's boldness. Something that most of the ladies were lacking nowadays. He feels another force tug his heartstring, but his pride as a prince did not allow him to bow down to Mu Lingxi's domineering att.i.tude.

"Not unless you said 'please big brother'" he replied as he smiled at Mu Lingxi as if trying to tease her. He knows pretty well that he had the upper hand in this situation. After all her cat was at his mercy.

"What did you say?!" Lingxi creased her eyebrows together upon hearing his condition. She cant believe what she just heard. Is this guy had some loose screw on his brain? It was obvious that the young prince across her was just the same age as her.

"MEOW"

[No need to lower yourself, little la.s.s. I can manage myself. ]

Ja.n.u.s a.s.sured her. He releases more force and eventually, the power restricting him before, loosen and not too long after that he finally leaps down on the ground.

Long Yue was ready to cast another to spell towards the black panther but a delicate hand tried to s.n.a.t.c.h his wand. This caught him off balance and it leads both of them to end rolling down the hill.

Ja.n.u.s and Luna stared dumbfounded at their rolling masters. The two cats decided to follow them after they recovered from their initial shock.

Mu Lingxi and Long Yue both came tumbling down until they reach the lowest part of the ground which is at the foot of the hill. When Lingxi saw that the wand landed not too far away she tried to reach for it. Seeing this Long Yue tried to gain control over the situation by outrunning her.

Long Yue, of course, has the advantage of stamina over Lingxi. Knowing this, Lingxi get desperate so she grabbed Long Yue's hair.

"Ouch! Hey?!! What are you doing? Let me go! Stop pulling my hair" Long Yue felt as if his hair will about to get detached from his scalp if Lingxi will not stop pulling his hair hard. Not knowing what to do, he grabbed Lingxi's hair as well.

This scene of a young man and lady pulling each other's hair greeted Ja.n.u.s and Luna. They halted their steps seemingly lost what to do.

"Let go of my hair! You crazy b.a.s.t.a.r.d!" Lingxi was so irritated for this turn of events. If she knew that this guy was so unruly she would have just let Ja.n.u.s take care of him.

"You let me go first!!! And say SORRY!!!" Long Yue insisted.

"HUH! You wis.h.!.+ Sorry, your foot!" as she said that, she stumped at Long Yue's foot as hard as she could.

"AAAAAAWWWWWW" a deep sorrowful wail escaped Long Yue as he touched his sore foot. How heavy this girl could be?!! Is she some sort of itinerant Amazon? Long Yue grieved for his unfortunate first love encounter.

Unaware of Long Yue's thought, Mu Lingxi continued to pursue her goal which is getting that piece of unimpressive stick lying on the ground. She was pretty sure that it works like a wand exactly how wizards in Harry Potter stories used to cast spells.
