Left with no other things to do, Mu Lingxi decided to head back at their dorm so she could give herself a break.

Mu Lingxi climbs to her bed as soon as she arrived at their dorm.

The exhaustion building up on her body melted the moment her back hit the soft mattress of her bed.

Since she doesn't have any other plans for today, Mu Lingxi used this spare time instead to ponder over everything that happened to her recently.

She tried to organize her thoughts as she stared at the white ceiling above her. But just like that bare ceiling, her brain is empty as well.

It was during the time like this that Mu Lingxi realized that her life is becoming a lot messier than ever.

This feeling is becoming stronger the more she unfolds facts about herself.

Instead of finding clarity and getting the answer that she was looking for, she will always end up getting herself more tangled up with all the secrets that she uncovers.

She can't help but reflect and thought to herself if the story of her life was slowly turning from magical realism into mysteries and conspiracies.

More and more secrets and revelations were starting to come one after another.

And as if her life is not complicated enough by itself, she found out that those secrets that they were slowly uncovering are actually related to her.

Not just the old Mu Lingxi that originally belong to this magical world. But also even her own self that transmigrated over to this world

Right at that very moment, that the apprentice necromancer cast his curse upon the previous owner of her body, Mu Lingxi's fate was already sealed with it.

While the master and cat duo was busy extracting each and every bit of their brain cells to come up with a solution on their recent impa.s.se, the door to their dorm opened.

It was Fan Lei who stepped in from that open door. It seemed that he was already done with his plan today, just like Mu Lingxi.

When Fan Lei saw that Su yan (Mu Lingxi) was already around, he was initially startled.

He did not expect to see his friend to be back this early. He thought that he would be alone.

"Are you done with your plans for today? Or you haven't started dealing with it yet???"

Fan Lei can't help but ask as soon as he settled to the chair next to his bed.

He really did not expect to see another person inside their dorm. He thought that he will going to spend that afternoon alone.

Since he was not in the mood to go and hang out outside. He was still sulking and exhaling deeply due to his frustration

"No, I'm already done for today. I am just now having my rest. How about you? Where have you been???"

Mu Lingxi asked back. She was equally surprised as Fan Lei when she saw the other party returning early.

"Oh, I just met with someone and had a few words with him."

Mu Lingxi continued asking her friends when she noticed that Fa Lei was literally feeling down.

His shoulder was slumped to the side and he was slouching to his seat as well.

Not to mention the sullen look in his face and the exasperated sigh that he has been doing ever since he sat at his chair.

It was her first time seeing Fan Lei like that. 

It was like something was bothering him. To be honest, Mu Lingxi already lost count of how many sighs Fan Lei had on that single afternoon

"Actually it was my senior. He wanted me to look out for someone. He was always like that, asking me around as if I was on his every beck and call."

From how he complained about it, it seemed that there was some beef going on between him and that senior his.

And it does not look like it was something that had just occurred recently.
