SORCERESS 101 286 Where Are You Going

Mu Lingxi was planning to visit Schoolmaster Yin's office that night, alone.

She does not wish to disturb her friend's rest that is why she did not wake anyone of them.

But when she comes out of the bathroom after getting changed, Mu Lingxi saw that the lights of the room were already turned on.

All of her friends were already awake and was staring at her with the same questioning look in their faces.

"Where are you going???"

Yun Xue asked when he saw that Su Yan (Mu Lingxi) was not wearing a pajama and looked as if it was planning to go out in the middle of the night.

He heard Su Yan (Mu Lingxi's) was whispering and talking to someone else.

That is why as soon as his friend runs to the bathroom, he immediately turned on the light to see who he was talking to.

But he soon realized that there is no one inside the room aside from them.

The rest of the group was also wondering where Su Yan (Mu Lingxi) was planning to go at this time of the night.

They had the same question marks reflecting in their faces as they looked at Mu Lingxi who just came out of the bathroom.

They were woken up from their sleep when Yun Xue turned on the light inside their room.

"I'm going to see Schoolmaster Yin and consult him about something."

As she said that, Mu Lingxi show her friends the handprint that she had on her right arm

"Where did you get that??!"

Since Yun Xue was standing closest to Mu Lingxi at that time, he was the one who got a better view of what Mu Lingxi had in her arms.

"Is that a handprint???"

Long Yue asked when he decided to have a closer look.

"I  think I got it from my dreams..."

Mu Lingxi said as she scratched the back of her head.

Although she was telling the truth, Mu Lingxi still can't help but find her answer lame.

After all, who could get a handprint from her dreams?

I've been dreaming about the lady in the chalice lately. Then tonight, when I dreamt about her again, she grabbed me in my arm. When I woke up, I already had this. That is why I decided that I need to talk to Schoolmaster Yin."

Mu Lingxi told her friends everything that she had experienced ever since she started dreaming about the lady.

"Wait for me, ill just have my pajamas changed. I'll come with you."

Long Yue said as he hurriedly went inside the bathroom without waiting for Mu Lingxi's reply.

"We're going too."

Yun Xue said.

Long Fuzi and the others nodded their head as well when Yun Xue looked at them.

"There is no need, guys."

Mu Lingxi appreciates the concern that they were giving her, but she still feels embarra.s.sed inconveniencing her friends this late.

Instead of them having a good rest, here they are worried about her and they were even planning to accompany her to Schoolmaster Yin's office.

Mu Lingxi will be lying if she will going to say that their warm treatment is not melting her heart at this moment.

"We insist. This is what friends are for"

Chan Gu said as he gave his friend a smile, showing his perfect set of dimples.

"Chan Gu was right.  Besides, we came to Sanguine Tundra together. It's unfair if we will just going let you deal with the consequence alone."

Fan Lei added.

To be honest he was feeling deeply apologetic to this friend of his.

Because he was the one who gave instruction to Su Yan (Mu Lingxi) to chase after the lady. If not for him, Su Yan (Mu Lingxi) won't end up in this situation.

Knowing that her friends won't take no as an answer, Mu Lingxi finally relented and agreed on allowing her friends in accompanying her to Schoolmaster Yin's office.

After everyone already got their sleeping wears exchanged, the group left the boy's dormitory and head towards the direction of School Master Yin's office.

The moon was hanging high above the sky and it was partially covered by the night clouds when Mu Lingxi's group went outside.

Pa.s.sing through several empty corridors and buildings at this late of the night feels different compared when they were pa.s.sing the same corridor and building during day time.

It felt as if a thousand pairs of eyes were watching over them within those dark shadows of the buildings.

The cold night draft is not helping either. It only makes them more uncomfortable as they padded their way in the empty road.

Their only source of light comes from the moon as it illuminated the pavement that they were walking through.

It takes them around 10 minutes of walking before they saw the familiar stair that was kept afloat in the air.

Using those stairs the group climbed up until they reach the hall that looks like an art gallery.

Mu Lingxi and her friends looked around for the portrait of the lady under a blooming peach tree as soon as they arrived at the hall.

That portrait always keeps on changing its location every time they went to see Schoolmaster Yin.

When they saw the familiar portrait, they immediately walk towards it and introduced themselves.

"h.e.l.lo there, good evening. We are student warlocks from the Red realm. We don't have an appointment with Schoolmaster Yin, but we have some urgent matters that need attention. It has something to do with the previous mission that we receive from him. I f you may, can you please relay our message to him? If possible, we would like to meet him tonight.

Long Fuzi knows that it was already disrespectful of them to visit this late of the night.

If it not just because of an emergency, they will not dare come knocking at someone else office at this unG.o.dly hour.

That is why he tried his best to sound polite and well mannered as much as possible when he spoke to the lady in the portrait.

Hoping to win some brownie points by doing so.

The lady in the portrait looked at their faces for a while. Before it landed on Mu Lingxi and Ja.n.u.s' direction.

She stared at them for a while. Then maybe, recognizing them as a frequent visitor of the schoolmaster lately, the lady in the portrait stand up and left her post.

Mu Lingxi and the rest of the group waited for another three more minutes before they finally saw the lady walking back to them.

Most likely, she reported their arrival to the schoolmaster first.

When the lady on the portrait came back to her post, she stretched her hand upwards and tear the canva.s.s of her own painting.

The torn canva.s.s of the painting reveals a long and dark corridor. At the end of that corridor is a wooden double door, which leads to Schoolmaster Yin's office.

The group hurriedly crossed the long and dark corridor going to Schoolmaster Yin's office. This pa.s.sageway is narrow and it only allows one person, at a time to pa.s.s it.

When they finally reached the end of the corridor, Fan Lei knocked on the door.
