SORCERESS 101 312 Yu Yan And The Chalice

The heartbreak that Schoolmaster Yin felt that day fueled his rage and it prompted him to settle the score with Yu Yan and the man she chose over him.

That is why, as soon as he found out where the two lived, Schoolmaster Yin immediately went there.

So even though she was reluctant to leave her newborn baby as well as her toddler son, Gaoyan, Yu Yan was left with no choice but to leave them under the Mu Ruochen's care.

Schoolmaster Yin knows that with Yu Yan's character, there is no doubt that she will come knocking to his door anytime soon to save her child

So he went back to Magus Academia as if nothing happen and waited for Yu Yan's arrival

The two past lovers met again in the same familiar place where they first fell in love with one another.

But all the romance and pa.s.sion that burned with them in the past is nothing but ashes now. 

Yun Yan knew well enough that it would be as good as wasting her breath if she will just going to asked Schoolmaster Yin to do her a favor.

So she no longer beat around the bush and him an enticing offer right away.

 She knew that Schoolmaster Yin's pursuit for greatest power weighs more than anything else for him.

So Yu Yan used her ident.i.ty as a descendant of a fallen deity as a bait.

She told Schoolmaster Yin about the power of the deity blood that was running within her blood and promised to share it with him, as long as Schoolmaster Yin will going to give her child back.

On which the other party agreed readily

Schoolmaster Yin invited Yu Yan to his mansion at the Sanguine Tundra.

The young Yin Shun use to dream of living in that mansion with Yu Yan after their marriage. But sad to say, Yu Yan elopes with someone else and so Schoolmaster's dream was shattered into pieces.

He knew that his dream of living a life full of love with Yu Yan is nothing but a pipe dream now. But despite that, he still wanted to show her the mansion that he prepared especially for her.

They supposed to live in a mansion build in an ancient domain. There he planned to live with only her, away from the stressful life of the outside world.

Schoolmaster Yin even planned about resigning to his post after their marriage so that he could focus to their family and gis research.

But Yu Yan took away those dreams to him.

When they arrived at the Sanguine Tundra, Schoolmaster Yin show him around the place first.

He wanted her to see how much she lost for running away from him, but Yu Yan is not interested in any of those things.

Schoolmaster Yin tried stalling for more time.

He wanted to spend as much time as he could get together with Yun Yan. Because he knew that after that day, he will never going to see her again.

At that time, Sanguine Tundra doesn't have the weird ambient light yet.

The place does not look like it was covered with dried blood, unlike when Mu Lingxi's group visited it. So it is a good place to relax.

But of course, Yu Yan had no plans of fooling around with Schoolmaster Yin.

Yu Yan told  Schoolmaster Yin that she was willing to do anything just for him to release her child's soul.

And that is how Schoolmaster Yin was able to trick Mu Lingxi's mother into opening the ancient chalice

He told her that the other half of Mu Lingxi's soul was trapped inside that chalice and all she has to do is open the chalice and released the trapped soul inside.

Well,  Schoolmaster Yin is not entirely lying when he said those words. Because it was indeed a fact that Mu Lingxi's incomplete soul was really trapped inside the chalice that time.

Yu Yan at that time have no idea about the nature of the ancient chalice. It was not a 'chalice that should not be open' for no reason

Schoolmaster Yin deliberately left out the part that once the trapped soul was set free, then whoever set it free will have to pay for his or her own soul to replaced the soul trapped inside the ancient chalice.

If he could not have Yu Yan to stay beside him on her own free will, then he would rather trap her inside the ancient chalice.

In that way, they can remain together.

He was planning to use the ancient chalice to bind Yu Yan so he could keep her for himself for as long as he wanted.
