"I'm sure you're curious as to why I invited you here."

"I can't say I'm not, madam."

Bin remained calm as he replied to his master's mother, his mind was thinking of all kinds of things. He was sure it had to do with the invisible woman he saw yesterday and to why she was following him out of all people. Sure, he has a mysterious past but even someone like Angelica should not know anything about it.

Angelica glanced at the s.p.a.ce right next to Bin, which momentarily distorted before a black-clothed figure made its appearance. Apart from her clothes, only her long dark hair and her blue eyes could be seen, her mouth and nose were covered by a black cloth. Undoubtedly, she was the same woman who Bin accidentally discovered and repeatedly cursed, almost causing him to lose his life.

Although Bin was a bit startled, he didn't imitate an exaggerated expression or jump in fear as he kind of expected her to come. He just furrowed his brows while turning his face toward the woman, who paid him no attention as she bowed toward her master.

"You don't appear surprised." Commented Angelica as she saw Bin's expression s.h.i.+ft only for a second before returning to usual.

"There's nothing to be surprised about, Madam." He stood up and faced the blue-eyed woman, who was as tall as him: "I believe we have met under unfavorable circ.u.mstances."

Just like she did a second ago, he bowed his head apologetically and added: "Please excuse my unsightly behavior. I did not know you worked for the Madam."

The woman looked at him and snorted, clearly disliking both his behavior and voice. If it was up to her, she would have sent Bin far away the moment he made contact with Jasmine. He was far too mysterious and suspicious to keep in here. Whether it's the guys monitoring his apartment or his odd body.

As she was less than a meter away from him, she could clearly see and feel the Mana entering and leaving his body at an alarming rate. He seemed pretty relaxed and unaware of his condition as he forced a smile, not bothered by her rude behavior.

"As you can see, she's a magic-user and someone who a.s.sures my family's safety, mainly Jasmine."

Angelica stood up and walked up to the woman. While still looking at Bin, she patted her subordinate's shoulder while stating: "She's been around for years and is like a family to me so please don't blame her for yesterday's 'accident', she was only following my orders."

"Master, why are you apologizi-"

Angelica cut her off by saying: "Unlike the previous servants, you're a bit special and I don't doubt that you'll accompany my daughter for a long time, and as it's the first time this has ever happened, she still can't trust you yet."

"It's fine, Madam." Bin spoke a few words before looking back at the middle-aged woman while adding: "I'm only working for Miss because the pay is very good. I have no ulterior motives so I would really appreciate it if you don't dig too much about my past. He bent his body ninety degrees after saying those words, which may be interpreted as rude. In fact, the woman was glaring at him so intensely that he got the chills all over his body.

"I understand what you want to say but as my daughter's servant, it's only natural to know a few things about you…" She stopped talking, went to the back of the desk and retrieved a few pictures

"Like why there are people sniffing around your apartment."

She put a few photos in front of Bin, they all showed men clothed in black hiding in alleyways around his home.

"I know you want the best for my daughter but I don't want her to be in danger."

"…"

Unfortunately, Bin gave no reply as his eyes were glued on the photos, his body shook for a moment, his fists were unconsciously clenched. Although Angelica couldn't see it, the tall woman sensed the change inside the youngster's body. It was like a bottomless abyss which sucked everything around it… it became even more astonis.h.i.+ng when even the woman's mana was forcefully sucked out of her body, causing her to take a step back.

Angelica frowned upon seeing the woman's odd reaction. As for Bin, he picked up the photos while grinding his teeth, a cold gleam flas.h.i.+ng across his eyes.

"I see… I'm sorry I have troubled you. I will deal with this."

Without adding another word, he swiftly left the room, leaving a confused Angelica. She was going to offer him help and tell him to stay hidden here but he left as soon as he saw the pictures. From the looks of it, he seemed to know who and why they were here.

"What's wrong? What happened to you?"

After spending some time collecting herself, the blue-eyed woman answered: "Master… he's really dangerous. We need to dispose of him."

Even an expert like her couldn't process what just happened in front of her eyes. Even if it's they are the strongest magician in the world, they can never suck Mana out of a living person because once it enters the body, it belongs to its owner, forever, until its exhausted. Yet, a few seconds ago, Bin's body actually managed to absorb her own Mana without her volition! He didn't seem to have done it on purpose but it's nonetheless dangerous.

Not everyone can wield Mana but the human race adapted to this magical energy and without it, it'll definitely collapse. There are a couple of special cases where someone is born void of Mana but such people are linked to machines for their whole life.

For example, when magic-users fight and deplete their Mana, there's still a small portion which cannot be accessed, its only purpose is to keep the body functioning. However, Bin's body sucked everything around it, regardless where it was coming from. It was only for a few brief seconds but the woman received a strong mental shock. Moreover, it ascertained her suspicions that Bin was extremely dangerous.

Jasmine played with Mina for quite some time before the latter soundlessly fell asleep. As the young miss wasn't sleepy yet, she decided to go bother Bin and where else would he be other than the guest room which is now his personal room.

She entered the room but surprisingly found no one inside so she was trying to look elsewhere only to hear footsteps originating from outside. Jasmine guessed that it was Bin so she picked a good spot to hide, wanting to give him a small scare. She chose a large white closet filled with tuxedos and waited for him to enter. There were transparent holes which allowed her to see what's happening so the girl calmed her excited breathing and waited for the perfect moment.

Unfortunately, she was startled as, after confirming Mina wasn't here, Bin violently slammed the door shut. His expression was cold and dark, indicating that he was really, really angry, perhaps even enraged.
