She didn't take him to her master's house but, instead, headed toward Ann's laboratory. His condition didn't look that optimistic and taking him to the hospital is not possible.
…
Twenty minutes after Bin and the woman left, two black land rovers appeared at the same hill. Bert got off and looked around before frowning, he walked to the edge of the cliff looked down but found nothing suspicious. The two bodies and heads drifted away due to the stormy waves and the van had long since disappeared out of sight.
The thing man knew that Hayden wouldn't go back on his word or try to trick him so the only explanation was that Bin escaped. However, he was bound and injured so there must have been someone who a.s.sisted him.
"Did she make contact with him already?"
He didn't suspect the invisible woman as he didn't know her, his thoughts focused on the girl who came from Italy, Bin's twin sister. She was a strong magic user and merciless killer, if it's her then taking care of the bodyguards should've been easy. Moreover, she's very good at hiding, and trying to chase after her up is only a waste of time and resources.

Melissa coldly stared at secretary Park and kicked his leg, causing him to stagger back but he managed to fix his posture and bow.
"Is it true?"
"M-miss I-"
She cut him off and repeated herself, this time her voice sounded much chillier.
"Is it true?"
In the end, Park Chung-Hee bowed ninety-degree while apologetically saying: "That is true, miss."
He didn't think that the four men that were with Bin would come to the villa and reveal the truth to her. He told them to hide and cover their tracks but they actually came here. They stood next to each other, all silent and watching Melissa glare at the secretary.
"We will talk about this trickery of yours later! Go and get him out this instant!"
"Y-yes, right away Miss!"
As if he had pardoned, the secretary swiftly left the room, heading toward the police station. Once he was out, she turned to face the four muscular man and said:
"Tell me everything that happened."
She crossed her arms and looked at the man with scratches on his face, awaiting a fully-detailed report.
…
When Bin was apprehended by the police, most of them left and only three remained to guard the crime scene and take care of the scattered corpses. Fortunately, Scarlett and Ann managed to slip through without being noticed. They didn't head to the station but went back to Ann's laboratory. Scarlett's car was still there but taking it would cause the officers to see them so they just boarded a taxi after they left the rural dark area.
Once she inside her building, Ann fell on her comfortable sofa, her legs still shaking from fear. The sight of two dead bodies was still deeply engraved into her memories and her breathing was still uneven.
"There's no danger here, calm down."
Scarlett patted her sister's head before drinking some water and next to her sister. Although it wasn't apparent, her heart was beating like crazy too, it's just that she was able to hide her surprise and fear so that she can comfort her little sister.
A couple of minutes of silence pa.s.sed and Ann managed to purge the awful thoughts of her mind and calm her trembling body, though her pale was still as pale as a sheet of paper.
"Have you calmed down?" worriedly asked Scarlett.
"Y,yes, I'm fine now."
Just like her sister, Ann emptied a gla.s.s of water then slumped back into the sofa, tired to do anything. Just when she was about to close her eyes, Scarlett spoke:
"You seemed to know Bin."
Ann's body twitched as she turned her face to the other side while meekly saying:
"I don't. It's the first time I've seen him."
Scarlett frowned, leaned closer to her sister and asked again:
"Ann, we're far too involved so don't try to keep those secrets to yourself!"
The young female doctor bit her lower lips as she was struggling with an internal conflict, not knowing whether it's better to speak or seal her lips. Scarlett is, after all, her big sister and her only family but as a doctor, her patient's personal information should never be disclosed to anyone.
"Ann?"
The little sister abruptly stood up and rummaged through a lot of doc.u.ments before finding what she was looking for. She handed a couple of photos and papers to the confused Scarlett before saying:
"What do you think about this?"
…
Ultimately, Ann chose to tell her sister about Bin and his condition. She didn't specify how they met but she spoke of everything related to the disease, including the pumps she planted and the metallic object Galen had safely put in the past.
"I can't believe this… this is not logical!"
Scarlett repeatedly looked at the test results, still unable to believe her eyes.
"I was like that too… It goes against common sense but it's still true!"
Ann shared her sister's thoughts. The two were geniuses in the medical field by Bin's illness is an enigma which made them question their reality.
"The pumps were a good idea but they won't last as much as you predicted. I think the black spots are not dead spots but the total opposite."
"What do you mean?" Ann creased her brows and asked back, still not getting it.
"The nerves are dead and the blood circulation is stopped but Mana still lingers there, isn't it like a metamorphosis? It dies so it can regenerate later… but this is only a speculation, there's a high chance I'm wrong too."
Just as she said that, a fast black shadow violently pushed the dual doors of the laboratory and appeared before the two doctors. A tall woman wearing black clothes that covered the entirety of her body was holding an unconscious young man under her armpit.
She softly put him on one of the beds before saying: "His conditioning is worsening. Check him."
Right after saying that, she turned invisible, leaving Scarlett and Ann totally dumbfounded.
