You could see some prost.i.tutes every now and then, heck! It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that Bin noticed a lot of thieves around his home but none actually targeted him for they knew he was penniless. When you look at this area and its run-down buildings then glance at skysc.r.a.pers in the center of the city, you can easily tell the difference.
This was nothing but an abandoned land, a filthy place for the poor and the miserable to live in. As Bin made his way toward his home, two figures suddenly blocked his way.
They were wearing dirty clothes and looked exceptionally ugly. They were hired thugs, their goal was obviously to cause trouble for him, most likely beat him.
As for their employer? That was an easy guess.
'I should've killed that b.i.t.c.h!'
Only one person popped in his mind, a short-haired girl who kept glaring at him the whole day. She was Jasmine's friend and the one who kept provoking him since their first meeting. Apparently, she held a grudge against him hence the presence of these two ruffians.
They're here only to beat him up, even breaking a few of his bones wouldn't surprise Bin. The people from 'above' do consider the commoners worthless as if breathing the same air as them would make them sick.
As he met eyes with the two ruffians, Bin didn't know what to do. His body wasn't in his best physical condition to fight and the two of them held long metal bars which can hurt a lot.
The only thing to do in such a dire situation is turn tail and flee, which is what he exactly did. Before they even talked or closed the distance between them, he turned around and started madly running. His destination was unknown but it's certain that they'll remain near his house, waiting for him to return.
Though he went through a rough day, Bin was able to outrun them, moreover, they gave up on the chase pretty soon too. With nowhere to go, Bin went to a desolate park and sat in of the few empty seats while panting heavily. Just as the exhaustion started going away, he started feeling pain coming from his thigh. Upon a closer look, he found a black mark that just appeared.

'I guess exercising will only lead me to breathe more Mana...'
The more Mana he absorbs the more his death approaches. Running for a few more minutes caused a second black mark. He didn't know how many black marks need to appear before his death but it shouldn't be a lot.
The pain from the black mark didn't last long but the dizziness was intense. Bin had nowhere to go and the ruffians won't wait for him the whole night so he just laid on the bench and slept.
If not for his attire, he would have resembled a homeless person. Due to the dizziness and the hunger, Bin found difficulties sleeping and spent most of the night thinking. Fortunately, the urge to sleep finally prevailed as he managed to sleep for five hours before the morning light a.s.saulted him.
The first thing he noticed was his incredibly heavy body, the kind of feeling after a heavy day in the gym. He couldn't even strengthen his arms due to the pain. His stomach was growling loudly and his eyes were half-open due to the lack of sleep.
Nevertheless, Bin forced himself to go up and return home. Fortunately, the two ruffians were nowhere to be seen so he entered the apartment and prepared a small breakfast for Mina before waking her up.
Since she slept way early, Mina woke up almost immediately. The good meal she had was also one of the reasons that made her this energetic. She quickly entered the awfully small bathroom, which was no bigger than a closet, and washed her face before eating what was prepared for her.
She would glance at Bin from time to time but said nothing. Though she was young, she wasn't stupid for she noticed the dirty suit and his pale face. He looked way worse than yesterday, it wouldn't be a lie to say that a simple breeze of wind will render him unconscious.
"Big brother, are you ok?"
The absent-minded Bin softly smiled and rubbed her head while answering
"It's nothing, I just caught a small cold."
"Then you should rest!" Protested Mina
When he was about to get up, she dashed next to him and pressed her hands on his shoulders, forcing him to remain seated.
"I'll be fine. I already took some medicine."
Only now did Mina relax a bit but she still urged him to take some time to rest. Helpless, Bin used laid his head on her cus.h.i.+on and closed his eyes. The little girl promised to wake him up when it's time for her to go to the kindergarten.
Deep inside, Bin knew that it wasn't going to end up good. After the death of Dr. Galen and the dispute of yesterday, Mina will probably be expelled. However, he had enough money to put her in another kindergarten, although a little shabbier than the last one.
By the time Bin woke up, Mina was nowhere to be seen. Still feeling dizzy and tired, he slowly stood up then like a crazy lunatic, left his house and started searching for her while making his way toward her kindergarten.
Fortunately, it didn't take long for him to find his little sister. A car blocked his way thus forcing to stop running. When he tried to bypa.s.s by circling around it, it blocked his way yet again.
A man in a black tuxedo got out of the driver's seat. Due to his dizziness, Bin wasn't able to recognize him. Only when his little sister hastily got out and walked up to him did he relax.
Right after Mina get out, another figure, taller than the little girl, could be seen standing next to the car. As he saw the black hair and the same face from yesterday, Bin got angry and walked up to her, wanting to hear an explanation.
His behavior was totally out of norm, he seemed rather aggressive which is why the usually silent and kind bodyguard blocked his way.
"Stay back."
His voice was stern and even a bit cold. Though his warning was for naught as Bin collapsed after taking two steps...
