"Did you have fun?"-Bin

The atmosphere between the master and servant remained icy for the remainder of the day. The driver took Bin to the kindergarten then drove him home. Jasmine didn't talk to him much after she started playing, she just remained on that seat for hours and went to eat in the evening.

She instructed the driver to take Bin without even glancing at the latter, still angry about what happened earlier. Honestly, Bin didn't think it was that big of a deal but the girl was just too childish.

She's used to being the one control and can't tolerate anyone who talks back to her. Definitely one of the 'perks' of being a spoiled and rich brat, or so thought Bin.

Fortunately, thanks to the Buster Drug, he didn't feel any more dizziness or pain, which was a good thing. Mina hugged her older brother while nodding her head and starting recounting what happened.

Apparently, every worker in the Kindergarten started treating her nicely and giving her all kinds of delicious food. After what happened last time, the manager didn't dare to cause trouble to the little girl and literally treated her like a princess.

Angering Angelica is like bringing doom to her doorstep so she tried her best to please the little girl lest she goes complaining to the madam.

The driver dropped the siblings near a convenience store and left. He wanted to drive them all the way home but Bin convinced him that it isn't necessary. The youth bought some snacks and instant meals then walked home with the joyful Mina.

Of course, he didn't forget to bring back full of lingerie with him, after all, there's one particular girl still living with them in that shabby apartment.

When he opened the creaking door, he spotted a lonely figure dozing off on the corner of the small room. As if she was electrocuted, Rika sprung-up, staring holes at Bin.

He was only confused by her strange actions and understood the reasons only when he heard her growling stomach, which she shyly tried to cover.

He wasn't foolish enough to leave her with no food but from the looks of it, she gobbled up everything, including the snacks. Bin scratched his head, not knowing what to say to her.

In the end, he just remained silent and put the plastic bags in the middle of the room while beckoning her to come closer. Mina wasn't hungry as she ate to her heart's content in the kindergarten, however, the short-haired girl was starving.

The moment he put down the plastic before, she opened them up with lightning-fast speed and s.n.a.t.c.hed one of the instant meals. Her hands were so fast as she grabbed the chopsticks and began devouring everything.

She didn't even mind the gazes she was getting from the two siblings.

Mina walked up to the busily-eating Rika and used her pink handkerchief to rub some rice that got stuck on her chief.

"You should eat slowly."

The cute actions of his little sister made Bin softly smile. Looking at her, she seemed like a worried big sister who's taking care of her younger sibling.

Rika was startled by Mina's question but she still nodded her head and started eating normally, like any other person. Mina chuckled and sat next to the guest.

The starving girl only stopped eating after devouring two instant meals. While sneaking a couple of glances at the eating Bin, she rubbed her mouth with Mina's handkerchief while unconsciously letting a burp.

She glanced at Bin only to find him looking at her while trying to contain his laughter. She tried to cover her flushed face and explained herself

"I-it wasn't me."

Bin shrugged his shoulders and replied

"Yeah, must've been me. Sorry."

After a short silence, Rika asked:

"Do you really live here?"

No matter how much she thought about it, she couldn't believe that people actually lived in this place. There was literally nothing here, only one blanket and one cus.h.i.+on.

No chairs, tables, TVs, toys… this was something absurd and new to Rika, who's used to having everything. Her room is a house of its own, with a private bathroom and a small kitchen.

As she stayed here for one whole day, she started having weird thoughts. This place is inhabitable, were it not clean, she would have thought it has been abandoned for dozens of years.

Hearing her question, Bin leaned on the hard wall and answered

"Why? Is it not to your liking? I guess I should expect that from people like you."

"N-no… it's just that there's nothing here."

Bin's tone is usually informal and to this girl, who's used to formal speech, it was a bit over-bearing.

"What if there's nothing? We don't have a rich papa and mama."

Rika chose to remain silent, choosing not to argue with Bin's harsh comment. As for him, he stared at this girl then said

"Shouldn't you be going home? Your parents must be worried sick about you."

The girl shook her head and replied

"No no… I don't want to go back."

"Why?"

Again, she chose to stay silent. He gazed at the wrists, which she tried to hide then asked again

"Are they mistreating you?"

He seemed to hit a sore spot as her body slightly shook.

"Is that why you jumped off the bridge?"

"…"

Seeing her expression and refusal to answer, he let out a sigh and added:

"Look, we can't solve this issue if you continue to be like this."

He crossed his arms and continued:

"Don't get me wrong, you can stay here as long as you want but running away is never the solution, neither is suicide. All life is precious, after all."

Seeing her still unwilling to talk about, Bin sighed again and pushed the bag of lingerie to her while saying

"Somebody wanted to throw these so you can have them."

Rika curiously only the bag only to be shocked. She continuously glanced at the lingerie then at Bin, who acted nonchalant, and oblivious to the weird thoughts in her mind.

Much later at night, after playing with Mina and getting her to sleep, Bin was staring at the wall with an absent-minded look while the girl giving him a complicated gaze.

All of a sudden, his body started shaking, startling the silent Rika. He glanced at the girl only to find her sound asleep, though, he wasn't aware that she was faking it.

An excruciating agony a.s.saulted his head, almost causing to fall unconscious. He remembered Ann's words when she handed him the drug.

"Listen, the drug may alleviate the pain but it wears off quickly and when it does, you'll be in pain. This is why I advised you not to take it, it's merely a temporary solution. The pain that you should have felt before will come back the moment the drug's effect is gone. Remember, you should bear with it and wait six hours before using the drug again!"

Although she warned him, Bin ignored her words. He felt as if his head was splitting in two, in this situation, dying an option better than going through this pain.

With shaking hand, he took the vial containing the drug and extracted some using the syringe. Without wasting any second, he used his shaking, he stabbed into his chest and inject the drug into his body.

After that, he leaned on his back and started gasping for breath.

Rika, who witnessed all of this, was surprised and confused.

'What's wrong with him?'
