Just as they got off the car, Jasmine's mother, Angelica, left the manor and was about to head somewhere only to stop when she spotted Mina.
She happily greeted them and offered to take Mina with her. His little sister didn't seem against going with the madam so Bin didn't refuse and let her do as she pleases, after all, it was a free day for the little girl and she should enjoy as much as she could.
Plus, Angelica promised to take good care of his sister so there isn't any reason to object.
So, along with Rika and his master, he entered the manor and was ordered to go help the other servants prepare lunch. It was only a ruse so the two girls can have a private talk.
His master dragged the silent Rika to her room and locked the door, not letting anyone in. As for Bin, he roamed the outrageously big manor for some time before heading toward the kitchen.
Unfortunately, the series of bad events never stop for someone like him, misfortune glued itself on him and never let go. When he was about to take a left and enter the kitchen, his body suddenly halted.
He supported himself with the wall on his left and panted heavily. A burning pain was coming from his abdomen, precisely from his kidney. It was definitely the pain that precedes the black spots.
Dr. Galen died before any black spot appeared on his body so he has to rely on that young female doctor to figure out what the h.e.l.l are they. They seemed to be dead parts as he couldn't feel any pain from them.
Bin was barely able to hold himself from vomiting a mouthful of blood, which was forcefully swallowed. Were it not for the voice which surprised him, he would have definitely puked much blood.
"Are you alright?"
He slowly turned away while wiping his lips. The origin of the soft voice was a woman in a maid outfit, she had a snowy skin and was a beauty, at least by Bin's standards.
"I'm fine."
He waved his hand and smiled, indicated that he's in perfect shape. From the expression on her face, Hyue didn't seem she believed him, nevertheless, she didn't press on the matter.
"You had a fever a while ago so you need rest."
He nodded his head and watched her enter the kitchen after glancing at him one last time. As for him, he s.h.i.+fted his destination and quickly left the manor, heading toward the empty garden.
He hid in a remote place and took out the syringe, which was already filled with the drug. He took a dose just last night but the pain came back and his kidney seemed to be failing.
'The frequency of the pain and dizziness increased… do I really have two to three months left?'
He was doubtful of Dr. Galen's words because the black spots started appearing almost every day and his state wouldn't been worse were it not for the Buster Drug.
If he could take a guess, Bin would say he has at most a month to live and that's if he's lucky. The use of the drug will shorten that and seal his fate in just a few weeks. For that reason, he needs to find a solution for Mina. Not only does he need money but also a good family that's willing to take care of his sister.
It must not be anybody but capable parents who will truly dote on her and treat her like their real daughter, unfortunately, finding such people is easier said than done.
With shaky hands, Bin stabbed the syringe into his chest and injected the liquid in his body, feeling a bit relieved after three to four minutes. He was no longer trembling but the pain remained and it mainly came from his kidney.
He lifted his clothes and, indeed, there was a black spot where his kidney was situated and to make matters worse, countless blood threads were extending from the spot, seemingly festering the area around it.
At last, Bin couldn't hold it and vomited a mouthful of blood on the gra.s.s, dirtying it. He struggled to get up and after shaking his body to wake himself from the dizzied state, he disappeared from that place.
The previously preoccupied Bin failed to notice a figure that was quietly watching him. This figure walked to where the blood was and inspected it.
…
The remainder of the day pa.s.sed peacefully, Jasmine spent the whole day with Rika inside that room, so, after informing her that he has some matters to take care of, Bin left the manor.
The sunny weather from this morning drastically changed as dark clouds cl.u.s.tered in the sky and thunderclaps occurred every now and then. Apparently, there'll be a big storm later at night which is why Bin accepted Angelica's offer and decided to stay for the night.
It's not favorable for them to sleep in that empty room with no cus.h.i.+on or blanket, especially when there's a storm.

After all, when there's a storm, kids find comfort in hiding themselves under a blanket and Mina is no exception.
Now, the reason Bin decided to leave is to check what really happened. Whoever targeted their apartment must be someone from his neighborhood and he's going to discover the culprits, one way or another.
In the end, all criminals end up returning to the crime scene.
