There he was!

Zain was hiding behind the trunks of the tree. His head was darting left and right trying to find her location...

Well, he can't see her—but she can see him clearly, she has no patience running after him, if she showed herself to him he will only escape again and run away like there's no tomorrow, so it's best to freeze him and bring him back to the Facility in his frozen form, it's more convenient that way.

She was about to freeze Zain but to her utter surprise... he disappeared from his eyes, completely.

Where is he?

Where did he go—!?

She just saw him disappeared from her eyes in just a split second, but he can't disappear like that unless he had already gotten his power back! d.a.m.n! Did Hannah already transfer some of her power to Zain—if not all?

This completely baffled her!

Where is he?

Dammit, where is he!?

She was glad that she was still in her invisible form, Zain could be lurking somewhere, or an enemy could be lurking nearby waiting to ambush her.

Then she finally saw him again! Zain re-appeared into the clearing...but now he was in a frozen estate.

This time he's not alone!

Someone was standing beside him.

Zain was frozen by the guy she had frozen earlier, the guy is no other than the leader of the savages himself, Jagger!

Jagger's knife was pointed at Zain's exposed neck.

Huh? Jessy's eyes widened. How did he unfreeze himself? She was pretty sure every time she freezes someone she was the only one who can unfreeze that person...unless...unless this vampire is more powerful than her or they have the same level of power—is it possible?

But the fact that he can't detect her exact location, his power is not above hers...

Then Jagger's mouth began moving..."Are you there? If you want this guy, you'd better come out now, let me see your face! Don't be a f.u.c.king coward and hide in your invisible form! Show me yourself! If you don't show yourself I will drain the blood of this f.u.c.king mortal here!" he shouted around him trying to find the invisible enemy lurking in the dark.

Jessy was contemplating what to do...

She was sure she was able to freeze him earlier...! Maybe she could freeze again him for a few minutes, that's it! She will try again to freeze him and s.n.a.t.c.h Zain away from that guy and teleport themselves into the facility right away! Even if that guy can unfreeze himself after a few minutes, they are already gone.

She waved her hands at the guy freezing him...to her delight she saw him stood still, his body parts no longer moving!

Excellent!

She immediately s.n.a.t.c.hes the frozen Zain away from the guy's grasp and immediately she teleported the two of them back into the prison-like room inside the Facility.

They landed inside Zain's room, the two women were already waiting nervously for their arrival. Jessy put the frozen Zain into the bed.

Hannah and Princess Abigail's worried faces suddenly brightened up, they were rejoicing upon seeing Jessy and Zain suddenly materializes inside the room.

"Hooray! You're back guys! I'm so happy! "Princess Abigail exclaimed in elation, she can finally breathe easier.

Hannah's eyes were covered with tears, when she saw Zain gone from the clearing, she was terrified of what's going to happen to him there in the dark forest, she was afraid he will run into an accident and hurt himself knowing that he was already an ordinary mortal with no power to help himself during dangerous situations, the royal couple will surely kill or punish her for allowing herself to be swayed with Zain's persuasion to bring him outside the Facility. The last two instances when they have gone out, they always come back within one hour, but tonight while in the forest, Zain was trying his best to distract her and keep delaying their return back to the Facility, little did she know that Zain has no plans anymore to come back to the Facility and he wishes to be left alone in the forest to pursue his freedom. Dang! she was used by Zain, and it hurt so deep just the same, although she already suspected that he was just humoring her presence every time they were alone together in the room, in spite of that knowledge, she still allowed him to use her. But what can she do? She loves him so much! Every time he showered her with sweet and flattery words her heart always beat faster for him, he meant so much to her.

"Are you crying, Hannah? Cry no more, Zain is back safe and sound, next time please don't do it again, It's dangerous outside," Jessy warned them. "I will go back to the clinic now," she said grimly.

"Thank you so much, Jess!" Hannah said her face bursting with happiness after seeing that nothing bad happened to Zain only some minor scratches on his arms and feet, if something terrible happened to him she only have herself to blame. She was expecting that Zain will treat her differently starting tonight after he failed to escape from the Facility.

Jessy sighed while observing the pregnant woman's face before she left the room she unfreezes Zain, then she disappeared, already teleported herself back into her room.

Inside her room she discarded her black ensemble and wore a casual clothing attire such as brown cargo pants and a white t-s.h.i.+rt, she slipped her feet into her slipper and left the room walking towards the clinic in a hurry.

While strolling in the hallway her mind wandered back to the leader of the savage vampires. He's very much alive! and probably all alone by himself after all his subjects were killed. He must be thirsty for revenge!

She was engrossed in thinking about him, she didn't notice she was already outside the clinic.

Whew, what a night!

She entered the door and went inside, she smiled to see the girl lying on the bed, she was one of Antonia's ward. She went to the girl's side and rubbed her arms. "How are you?"

"I'm fine," the girl answered.

"That's good, don't be afraid it will be over soon, okay?" Jessy said to the girl.

The girl nodded her head.

"It's alright, Jess. I already explained to the girl what will happen during the blood transfusion process, she will be okay," the doctor explained.

Jessy smiled at the doctor. "Okay, let's start!" she hops into the bed and smiled at the girl never leaving her face the whole time they were undergoing blood transfusion together.
