The Last Embrace 367 By Hook Or By Crook

A while ago, Jessy saw Jagger's body plunged into the dense forest, he might be already dead by now. The moment she landed into the ground she can't see anything, it was pitch dark in the forest, she quickly grows flames in her palm and throws it around her creating a bonfire, illuminating the entire surrounding near her.

Where is he?

She can't see him!

But she was one hundred percent sure that he falls in this area.

Where could his body have landed?

She searched for him everywhere...she still can't find him!

Then she looked up at the trees.

That was the moment she spotted him sitting on one of the branches of the tree, looking down at her with a smirk on his face, his feet dangling below.

"Looking for me?" he said, his voice was carrying a heavy hint of sadness.

Jessy smiled a bit, huge relief washed over her. "I'm glad you survive the fall!" she said in gladness.

Jagger jumped into the ground, facing her. "You tried to kill me!" he accused her. The pain and sadness were more evident now in his voice, with disappointment s.h.i.+ning in his...o...b...

"I'm sorry, I'm just testing you. I'm glad to know that you survive the fall. So, your power finally returned or your power never left you at all, are you trying to hide it from me?" Jessy asked.

"I guess you are right...I don't know yet the full extent of my power returning to me. But I survive the fall thanks to this tree here which saves me, I was able to grasp its huge branches, or else it will be a fatal fall for me," he explained.

"Come on, I will return you now to the treehouse so that you can rest," she said feeling a little bit guilty.

She went to her side and touches his arm, he flinches a little under her touch. "Hey, easy...don't worry I won't play a prank on you again," she said.

Jagger looked at the woman beside him. "You sure play a deadly prank on me. Have you not feel a little affection or pity for me yet?" he gazed intensely into her eyes.

Jessy looked down at her toes avoiding his penetrating gaze. "Let's get you home!" she activated the teleportation process in her mind.

A minute later they landed inside the treehouse.

"Take off your clothes, I want to see if you have bruises on your body," Jessy said in a serious voice.

Jagger immediately took off his upper clothes. Time to flex his biceps to please his ladylove. Even if she was trying to kill him a while ago, he still loves her. Right now he can't bring himself to hurt her. Right now his heart was screaming for her attention and her warmth yet she seems to be distant and cold towards him.

As he stood naked in front of her, Jessy inspected his body, she didn't find even a single bruise on his body, amazing!

"You look fine," she said casually.

"Shall I discard my lower garments as well?" he asked, smirking.

She raised a brow and speak hastily. "No need. Get dressed!" she commanded away.

"I maybe have bruises in my lower body!" he insisted naughtily.

"I said no need!" she sounded irritated.

"Okay fine," Jagger obeyed her command and stop undressing in front of her.

"I will ask you one last time, what happened when you are falling fast into the ground?" she asked.

Jagger's eyes welled up.

"I feel sad, thinking that you wanted me dead. If you want to test my power you could have done other ways to test me, not drop me from greater heights without thinking how I'm gonna feel and if I'm still alive after the fall...for someone who help me through my darkest times you are acting differently...you have every intention to kill me based on your whim. Too bad I'm fallen hard for you, yet you don't even care about my feelings at all. I'm very sad today," his voice sounded dejected.

Jessy can no longer stomach his guilt-tripping. "I'm glad that you're not harmed at all. The night is getting late, I need to go home and rest. Look... I'm sorry...okay?" she apologizes for the second time around.

She was about to initiate the teleportation process in her head. When Jagger grabbed her arm.

"Jess, wait for a second...if I died in my fall...what will you do with my dead body?" he asked sadly.

"I will give you a decent burial," she answered in a detached voice.

Jagger released a deep sigh. "Okay, you may go home now," he finally said in resignation. "And thank you very much for bringing me outside. It's nice to see the outside world once again."

Jessy examined his face, he still looks hurt by what she had done to him earlier. She'd better go now so that they can both have a good night's rest. "Bye Jagger," she said and teleported herself back into the Facility.

Jagger was left alone in the treehouse wallowing in his grief.

The silence was deafening, it always feels like this for him after Jessy goes home every time she visited him.

He turns on the radio and searches for a piece of good music to accompany his solitude.

Finally, a melodious sweet mellow music filled the air.

He shuts his eyes recalling what had transpired earlier up in the sky, the moment Jessy let go of his arm it took him a long time to accept that she was willing to kill him in the process, he felt super betrayed. Although he understood why she's doing it, he isn't willing to admit to her that his power comes back miraculously because he was afraid she will stop seeing him anymore.

He was trying to hold on to her kindness and friends.h.i.+p as long as he can so that he can cultivate affection inside her heart but it looks like she would never accept another man in her life, she looks devoted to her boyfriend. And as much as it hurts him badly, he realized that Jessy would never fall in love with him as long her boyfriend is still alive.

Killing his boyfriend by his own hands isn't the solution because once she knows that he was the one who killed her beloved boyfriend, she will hate him to the core, he could never earn her love, trust, and devotion that way.

He will have to decide sooner or later if he still wishes to remain in the forest or return to his brother's side. But he must bring Jessy along with him at all costs. He was desperate to own her body and soul and make her his partner in life. And there is only one person who can help him make Jessy become his woman forever.

His brother Roden!

Roden holds the key, that's it!

He'd better stop torturing himself.

First thing first, he needs to convince Jessy to go with him willingly to his brother's hideout, once Jessy set foot in the hideout, she can never leave that place ever again! She will remain by his side and served him with all her heart and soul and become his loving wife forever.

That's the plan!

Jagger shuts his eyes and starts waving his imagination and fantasy using Jessy's image. In the fantasy world that he created for himself, Jessy submits herself willingly to him. And it feels so right having to see her pretty face gazing at him lovingly every night before he sleeps and every morning when he wakes up it's her sparkling eyes that he gazes into first thing in the morning.

It's a beautiful and intoxicating fantasy, it feels so real in his heart and mind.

He got to make it real or else he will go crazy being tortured every day by his unrequited love for Jessy. A one-sided love that was not reciprocated by the woman he falls in love with.

"Jessy will become mine, by hook or by crook!" he said aloud inside the treehouse.
