"I will go back to the room to get some of my things." Jagger went inside the secret room and dumped all his clothes in the shopping bag including Jessy's jacket that still got her scent on it. When he gets out of the door, he instructed his brother not to throw all the things Jessy had given him because they had sentimental value. "Bro, please don't ever throw those things inside, they are Jessy's gifts to me, they are worth millions to me. Don't worry after I will settle in the city and have my place I will take them back," he said feeling a bit sad.

Roden took a deep breath, swallowing the lump on his throat. "Good luck bro!" he said with tears shone in his eyes. He would love very much to have his brother live with him by his side but that would be impossible at this moment in time.

"Bye bro, bye kids and bye sister in law," he waved his hands at them and disappeared from their sight.

"My brother is gone," Roden murmured.

"Is he going to be okay in the city?" Mahlia asked.

Roden nods his head. "He will be. He's a big boy now. He can take care of himself." Although he felt sad that after a long separation he was able to enjoy his brother's presence in their lives for a brief time and now they were separated again. Once, they will be relocated to the Facility his brother can no longer visit them there. Deep inside he was thankful for Jessy for being merciful to his brother despite his many trespa.s.ses. She is indeed one of a kind and had a heart of gold.

~~~o0o~~~
That night at 10:00 in the evening.
Jessy was done with her fourth blood transfusion for the day. She's going to the city to buy some personal stuff since she was already lacking some. But she needs to go back to the cave first and see if Jagger was still there.
She went to her room, put some money into her sling bag and made herself invisible, then she teleported into the cave.
When she arrived in the cave, she didn't bother to show herself to Roden. She went inside the secret room and searched for Jagger in every corner of the cave, she can't find him, which means he was already gone. 'Good!' she said to herself.
Time for her to teleport to the city.
A minute later, she landed in a dark alley, this alley becomes her favorite landing area in the city. A few meters from where she stood camouflaged by the darkness, she saw six homeless people huddled together in the corner. And there's another one at the far end. Since she was still in her invisible form she walked straight out of the dark and hovered pa.s.sing the homeless people, pa.s.sing at the guy sleeping in the corner with his little bundle that he was clutching in his arms, when she pa.s.sed by at him she steps closer to peer in his face because he seemed to look familiar to her.
Dang!
It's Jagger...aka...Alexander Moore!
Jessy's head frowned. Why he was sleeping here in the street? Then she remembered that he has no place to stay except in the treehouse and the cave with his brother, and the city is a new environment for him. And besides, he has no money, she was afraid that when hunger strikes his stomach and desperation comes knocking on his door he might resort to violence doing something bad like stealing, robbing people or robbing an establishment just to get money knowing that in the city you need money to eat and sleep comfortably and without money, you won't survive in the city with its expensive living condition.
Argh!
She needs to do something about it.
She advances into the busy street and walked in the sidewalk looking at the hotels and inns nearby, she finally found a budget motel which is a bit cheaper, the guest has to pay only $100 for a 24 hours accommodation, it was located in the farthest corner of the street.
She entered the motel in her invisible form and went to the second floor. She went inside one of the vacant rooms and inspected its amenities. The room is clean, with a queen-size bed located in the center, it has air conditioner unit and there was a bedside table with a cute lampshade, and a single chair, it also got a 25 inches flat-screen TV. The walls are bare except for the flower design wall painting near the bed. She walked towards the bathroom and opened the door, it has a shower, a toilet bowl and looks clean. The amenities inside the room were basic but clean enough and s.p.a.cious for one person.
It will do.
She exited the room and went down to the ground floor.
A minute later, she was already walking in the street and entered a 24 hours diner restaurant. She located the restroom for women, then went into the vacant toilet cubicle and from there made herself visible.
She walked to the counter and ordered seven-pack meals, which consist of two pieces of fried chicken, rice, gravy, apple pie, and a large soda.
Done with her take out order, she exited the restaurant and sauntered back to the dark alley where she spotted the homeless people earlier.
She distributed the packed meals to the six homeless people to their utter delight and surprised.
"Thank you so much, Miss, for your generosity! This will be our delicious dinner for tonight!" they said in unison.
Jessy smiled at them warmly and approached the solitary guy on the corner.
She tugged at the sleeve of his t-s.h.i.+rt. "Hey, wake up Alexander!" she said urgently.
Jagger opened his eyes and blinked a few times...he was surprised to see Jessy's face staring at him. Was he dreaming? When his stomach grumbled earlier due to hunger he just found a corner to sleep in this dark alley to vanish his hunger away. He did fall asleep with an empty stomach since he doesn't have money to buy food. "Jess...is that you?" he asked again and blinked five times wanting to be sure that he wasn't dreaming. When her face didn't go away, he knows that he was not dreaming. Was she looking for him all over the city? His a.s.suming heart palpitated a bit feeling hopeful.
"I brought you your meal. You probably have not eaten anything yet," she placed the packed meal in his eager hands.
Jagger beamed at her. "Yes, I'm so hungry earlier and then I fall asleep," he said. He sat up straight and began eating the take out food, munching hungrily at the crispy fried chicken thigh. "You want some?" he gives her the other chicken.
She shook her head. "Nah, it's all yours. I'm done eating dinner in the Facility," she didn't accept the fried chicken.
Jagger eats his meal silently while Jessy patiently waited for him to finish his meal.
