Tsubaki nodded. Her face was radiant as ever, the pale colour of yesterday had gone away without a trace. Her eyes brightened when she helped him adjusting the lapel of his jacket. She dusted off his shoulders, admiring how her husband would always look handsome in any outfits.
"See you tonight." Tsubaki smiled.
Tsubaki wanted to step away but her husband didn't pulled back his hands from her waist. She looked up, eyeing him confusedly. Didn't he have to go to the office right now? Hibiki was waiting for him outside their home.
"What's wrong?"
"Are you sure you want to stay at home? I could send you to the old house?" Ren asked for the nth time.
Tsubaki chuckled. She patted his cheeks adoringly. "I'm sure. I want to try making the desserts for Grandma's birthday. The celebration is coming soon. I need to concentrate on that. Or do you want to see Grandma trying all those desserts if I tried perfecting them at the old house?"
Ren pursed his lips, thinking for a moment. He sighed. "On second thought, you'd better stay at home."
Tsubaki laughed when she saw his frowning face. She tip-toed and kissed her cheeks. "Don't worry about me. I'm fine."
When she finally woke up, it was 9 AM. Ren was still in bed. He leaned against the headboard while doing his work using the tablet. One of his hand was jotting words on the screen using the stylus pen while the other was stroking her head in a gentle manner. Her hands were wrapping around his waist. Apparently she slept while lying her head on his abs.
Even though she didn't really remember what happened, she recalled that she woke up before dawn and found that there was no one beside her. She felt extremely lonely. She got up and walked to the study, only to find that he was working. Her last memory was where she sat on his lap and continued sleeping. It was then when the loneliness faded away and she felt secured being in his embrace.
"Okay, love." Ren kissed her crown. His soft lips radiated warmth when they met her skin. "Call me if you need me. I'll be back right away."
"Alright." Tsubaki agreed. "But do enjoy your time with your friends. You said you haven't met them for a while, right? Satsuki said he wants to come over. He wants to tell me about his new job."
"Since you tell me to enjoy myself, I might need some hangover soup tonight?" Ren laughed. He had told Akas.h.i.+ that he would bring out his best collections. There was no way he would let them drink them without having some for himself.
"Okay, hubby." Tsubaki pushed Ren towards the door. "Hibiki has been waiting. Off you go!"
"Bye, sweetheart."

Tsubaki waved him goodbye. Even though Ren felt reluctant to leave her alone, he knew he still had things to do. The meeting was approaching. It would be held tomorrow so he didn't have time to lose.
Hibiki drove him to Fuse Corporation. While heading to the company, Matsuzaki gave a new set of doc.u.ments to Ren. They were connected to Mr. Sagara and his clique. Their hidden connections and crimes were clearly printed on the papers. Once these were sent to the police, there was no way out for them.
"Vice President Kuroda would attend the meeting on your behalf, Master. Wada Natsuo is still trying to persuade the shareholders to vote for him. Even though he would succeed, as the second biggest shareholder of Z-Tech, we still have the upper hand," Matsuzaki reported by his side. He had just contacted Wada Tatsuya's a.s.sistant before coming to meet his President.
"The result is already out even before the meeting." Ren scoffed. His eyes narrowed dangerously. The temperature inside the car drop, sending s.h.i.+vers to Matsuzaki and Hibiki's spines. "The shareholders have already discard him aside since the lost of their tender with the government. Plus, he has brought nothing but lost of profit since he became the Acting CEO. We don't have to worry about him. What about the old men?"
"Mr. Sagara is actively searching for clues about who's the one buying the remaining loose stocks. We have 20% of stocks in our hand. Even after combining all of his stocks and his friends', Mr. Sagara could only gather 12%. President Wada and Wada Natsuo's stocks are 25%. Wada Tatsuya's would increase to 35% after the share transfer from Elder Wada."
"The other 8%?" Ren looked directly in front of him. His lips curling up into a mysterious smile.
"It belongs to the neutral party."
Ren nodded. He had thought so. Even though there was a power struggle, there would always has a side who remained neutral. Even though they wanted to support Wada Natsuo and Mr. Sagara, they would lose. Wada Tatsuya and Fuse Corporation's combined shares had surpa.s.sed them.
"Get ready to disclose the matter once Wada Tatsuya is appointed."
"Yes, Master!"
While Ren was strategizing for the battle tomorrow, Satsuki arrived in Spring Garden with looks of awed written on his face. This was his first time visiting his sister and brother in-law's matrimonial home. He knew that Spring Garden was one of the top estate in the country so he imagined there would be extravagant decorations all over the place. Who would expect that its decoration was kind of minimalist? Yet he felt that by this way Spring Garden really lived up to its name. If the decorations and designs were too exaggerated, they would look cheap eventually.
"Sis!"
Satsuki ran to his sister who was waiting in the lobby. He gave her a hug. Tsubaki laughed, she patted his head.
"You didn't lose your way here, right?" Her brother looked much better than those days when he was still hospitalised and it seemed like he had gained some weight.
"I'd lose my way if you didn't wait for me here. This lobby is so big," Satsuki answered truthfully.
His brother in-law had given him a visitor pa.s.s which he could use indefinitely. The bodyguards received him with respect since he held the pa.s.s which only belonged to their Big Boss. If the other residents wanted to invite guests, they had to inform the reception desk at the lobby first. But since Spring Garden was under Fuse Corporation, he received the privilege as the Big Boss' one and only brother in-law.
I really need to suck up to Brother, Satsuki thought while laughing inwardly.
