The Concubine's Daughter Comes Around 10: What Fun?

The young man, Li Fugui, stood up again and tried to rush up. A stick was right against his throat. If he dared to move forward even an inch, he would be killed.

He stuttered, “Miss Ling. Sorry to offend you. There was some misunderstanding. Please forgive me…”

Dong Ling gave him a cold glance and replied, “So, you know who we are!”

Li Fugui was too frightened to fight back. Miss Ling wasn’t as cowardly as Mrs. Dong described. She could have easily killed him. How could such a girl be a pushover?

“You must be kidding, Miss Ling. Of course, I know you!” He then turned around to Concubine Lin, “Concubine Lin, you must be tired after the long trip. Get in the room and have some rest. I’ll go get you something to eat.”

As they walked into the room, Li Fugui swallowed. The leather coat on Concubine Lin was still fresh. He could even smell the blood!

Thinking of the tiger’s body by the roadside, he trembled.

He got the wrong person to bully!

Dishes were ready and enough. When they enjoyed the dishes, none of them noticed that Old Li was standing outside the door with evil looks.

He was a local tyrant and used to abuse his power. Who would have thought that a woman hit him with a bamboo stick? If anyone else knew it, he would be humiliated!

Seeing Dong Ling wave at him impatiently, Li Fugui left tacitly.

Old Li stopped him at the door and scolded, “You coward! How dared you help the b.i.t.c.hes! You even prepared dishes for them! Why do I have such a timid son like you?”

Li Fugui stopped it when his father tried to punch him and gave a weird smile. He explained, “Dad. Don’t rush for temporary victory. It’s not easy to deal with Miss Ling. Don’t worry. I put some sleeping drug in the dishes. They’ll fall asleep in two hours.”

Such a plan pleased Old Li. He said, “Great plan! You really are my good son! Let’s wait right here.”

In the room, Dong Ling stirred the dishes with her chopsticks and said, “I guess there’ll be a lot of fun to see tonight.”

“Miss Ling, what fun?” asked Zhumo.

“Nothing. Enjoy your dishes. I’ll get to sleep after having a bath.” replied Dong Ling.

Everyone else was full, except her. She didn’t try anything. The dinner really bored her.

Since she was bitten by a viper, she had tried many other ways to test her body. In the end, she realized that she was immune to all poisons.

Even though, the smell of sleeping drug still frustrated her.

She kicked the servant, who guarded at the door, and ordered, “Go get Li Fugui here.”

“Okay. Please wait a minute, Miss Ling!” replied the servant.

Li Fugui didn’t go too far. When the servant found him, he rushed back quickly, “Miss Ling, what do you want?”

Dong Ling stared at him with a faint smile, as if she could see him through with sharp eyes.

Li Fugui felt the coldness all over his body. He looked at Dong Ling again, but she still looked poker-faced.

“Where are we going to sleep tonight?” asked Dong Ling.

“Miss Ling, you and Concubine Lin will live in the room where you had dinner. The wing is for maids and hasn’t been cleaned up yet. Make do with it tonight.” replied Li Fugui.

As he spoke, he was calculating. But without any sign, Dong Ling choked his throat and asked, “Is it safe to sleep here?”

Li Fugui s.h.i.+vered and replied, “Sure, it is!”

He tried to get rid of Dong Ling several times, but failed. She looked weak, yet she was even stronger than a man.

The next moment, Dong Ling took back her hand and walked towards to main yard.

Behind her, Li Fugui glared with a grudge.
