Lily was surprised that Susu managed to get every item on the long list within a few hours. Susu handed her the list in her hand respectfully, "Here's the list of presents. Double check these gifts and report it back to Mister Tian Yuo."

"You must be thirsty after running around in circles for the afternoon. How about a cup of tea before you leave?" She wanted to have a chat with Susu to test her reaction. This was the first time after meeting Tian Yuo that Lily had ever seen him act insecurely.

The excitement in her eyes couldn't be contained as she pulled Susu inside her house and gestured the staff to bring her gifts into the house, "Come on in!"

Actually, after eating lunch with Chen Mu and Zhi Hei, she didn't feel that great. She wanted to hurry and rush home to prepare dinner and get a good night's sleep. Out of nowhere, she was now dragged into a stranger's home to have tea.

After double checking the items on the list and marking checks next to them, Lily touched the brand-new products with a satisfied smile across her face. Susu was rubbing her temples, hoping she could remain concentrated while having the conversation with her.

Lily handed her a cup of herb tea, "Earlier was too awkward and your impression of me must have been bad. So, let me reintroduce myself. I am Lily Jiang."

"I'm Yin Susu. Sorry, but I am not feeling well. Please speed up this conversation as I really want to go home and rest." She furrowed her brows as her headache intensified. She felt like her brain was cracking up like someone was mercilessly slamming a hammer to her skull.

"It's like this. I want to clarify my relations.h.i.+p with Tian Yuo." Lily sipped her tea while observing Susu's expression. She thought that Susu was feeling uncomfortable being alone with her and was using the excuse of feeling ill as an excuse to leave. 'Hah, I've seen a lot of these concealing lip trick already.'

Susu raised her palm to stop Lily from talking further, "It's enough. If this is what you brought me here to talk about then you can stop there because it will be wasting our time. I have zero concerns about whom Tian Yuo hang out with and who he has relations to. I also have no interest in his privacy. Please excuse me."

When she stood up, Lily pushed her back onto the couch. With her arms pressed on Susu's shoulders, Susu could barely move her body. "Just listen to me."

Susu sighed, "I really don't feel well. If you want to talk, we can speak on the phone. Just not now." She could feel her head spinning and Lily's voice fading away. When Lily realized that something was wrong, Susu already lost consciousness.

Lily called her private doctor to come immediately. After giving her a basic checkup, the doctor prescribed her some over the counter medicine for fever relief. She walked her doctor out and thanked him for rus.h.i.+ng to her right after her call.

Susu woke up an hour later and saw Lily sitting across from her. "What happened?"

Lily lectured her loudly with ehr hands on either side of her hips, "You pa.s.sed out from a fever. You're already at what age? You couldn't even tell when you have a fever or not?" She pa.s.sed the pills and a cup of warm water to Susu.

Susu double checked the medicine before taking it, "Thanks, but let me remind you that I have told you from the beginning that I was feeling ill. You ignored my words and pushed me down physically."

"Ahem... let's forget about that physical part hahaha. Sorry, I am the type of person who acts before thinking. I just wanted you to hear me out of what I think is going on between you and Tian Yuo." Lily seemed to be extremely interested in their relations.h.i.+p because she watched so many romance dramas and thought that they would be a great couple.

Susu finished the cup of water and interrupted her once again, "Miss. Jiang."

"Just call me Lily!"

"Fine. Then, Lily, I have no interest in Tian Yuo. He may not have mentioned about my existence until you saw me today, but I know he definitely mentioned someone named Karen, right?"

"Yes. He always put that Karen girl first, but I never saw her before." Lily listened attentively as if she could get some juicy news from Susu's mouth.

"Karen is my step sister. As for Tian Yuo and my relations.h.i.+p, we are nothing but mere acquaintances. We're not even friends. Nothing will, and nothing could happen between us. What you saw today was just him trying to take revenge on me like a child. I will not spend my night here telling you about what happened between us, but please get your facts straight before poking your head into our business."

"W..What? She's your step sister? But... then... oh my goodness! Did I see it wrongly then? I even spurted the random bulls.h.i.+t to him too!!! No wonder he denied it earlier!!!" She smacked her forehead as if she had made an irreversible mistake.

The doors creaked open from the entrance and Tian Yuo walked in while swinging his set of keys on his finger. He frowned when he saw Susu on the couch, "What are you doing here? Who allowed you in?"

Susu quickly applied her lip balm to make herself look less dead before turning around, "Mister Tian Yuo, welcome back. I just came to personally drop off these items. Lily just finished double checking the list. So, I'll take my leave now."

Tian Yuo glared at her intensely as she walked towards the exit, "Lily, why would you let roaches come in? Make sure to tell the housekeeper mop the floor sparkling clean twice or else I'll have this whole place renovated."

Lily's head almost exploded when she heard his harsh words to Susu, a person who was feeling ill and literally just woke up from fainting. She smacked his head and told him to shut up. With her arm hooked around Susu's shoulder, she walked her out of the house.

Susu thought that Lily would give her condition out, but who knew that Lily had her clever side?

"Thanks for not giving out my body condition."

"No worries, seeing that brat act so spoiled, I had to knock some d.a.m.n sense to that pea sized brain of his. But you.. are you sure you're alright? I'm very sorry about today. I kept you over even though you weren't feeling well." Lily took out the bottle of fever relief pills and slipped it into Susu's purse when Tian Yuo wasn't looking.

"I'm fine. I can get home myself. I called a cab already from my phone app." Susu smiled after noticing Lily's careful action to avoid Tian Yuo's suspicion.

"Don't forget to take your medicine. Once again, I'm very very very sorry that I got all my facts messed up! Get home safe and rest well." Lily whispered goodbye and watched Susu get in her cab before shutting the door.

When she turned around, she met his angry expression, "Explain!"

"What's there to explain? You were rude to a girl!!! No wonder you are single, hmph! I'm tired, so I'm going to wash up and sleep. Don't disturb me or else I'l lock your lonely a.s.s out of my house in this cold night!"

Shortly after Lily had run upstairs to her room, Tian Yuo received his bank statement notice that his credit card has maxed out... and there was one cent left to spare...
