VAMPIRE SYSTEM IN ANOTHER WORLD 7 Chapter 7: Qi Cultivation

I flew westward to the direction of the capital. The speed was the speed of sound. I have broken the sound barrier before but the mana consumption is too much.

The trip taken 2 days, I can make it in 1 day non-stop but I have to sleep and replenish my mana. I could just take my time, but the water supply at the mansion will only last 2 months. I don't want my tree of life plant to die out. I need people to take care of all my plants and herbs in the garden and also the upkeep of the mansion. So I decided to make a coven like n.o.ble vampires have, except mine is full of daywalkers. I also need them to be powerful enough to defend themselves.

I landed just outside the city walls of the capital. I paid 1 gold coin to enter the city.

The first thing I encounter upon entering the city was the slums. This part of the city is lawless. While walking through the streets, I noticed a group of people are following me.

I lead them into an abandoned alley to see what they want.

"You guys can come out now! I only want to warn you guys to target someone else. It might save your life!" i warned them.

"Ha! I call your bulls.h.i.+t kid! Wearing nice clothes in these part of the city is like painting yourself a target! I know your loaded with that interspatial ring you have on! It's too bad you lead us in a empty alleyway, meaning no witness. It's just your bad luck! Everyone kill him and loot him afterwards!" said the thug leader.

"Aaaaah!" the thugs armed with knives yells as they charged for the stab.

"Wh-what?!" all the thugs was surprised that the knives cannot penetrate the skin.

"Well, I warned you! My turn!" i said. I activated and . All the thugs heads fell to the ground.

"Dammit! You guys ruined my s.h.i.+rt!" i said. I changed my s.h.i.+rt from my inventory. I then used to loot the thugs. I obtained 3 inters.p.a.cial rings and some gold coins. I then used to see what i can get. Information started to flood my brain. I found 3 prospects individuals from their memory for my coven.

"Alright! I needed that, all this time I didn't know how to feel qi. Thanks to the memories, I can now start cultivation!"

I already know how to make qi elixers and pills, but all I know was how to absorb mana. Mana and Qi are different set of energies. The enviorment is mostly mana with few natural qi energies available. Qi can be produced by internally while mana is only absorbed from external means. So qi is better than mana in some ways.

The lightning tribulation symbolizes the entrance to immortality in the cultivation world. I also found out this thug was outcast from his sect, so he boarded a boat and sailed to this continent. The thug found out the human in this continent are weak except for mages.

"It was a good thing he is only in the second stage. If he was stronger, he might have gotten away."

I exited the alleyway and continued my walk towards the guild hall in the capital. While walking, I was lost in thought. I was thinking if I should hold in increasing my mana pool until my qi level is the same level as my mana pool. Being unbalance, can misfire the magic I'm casting.

I arrived at the guild hall and went to the exchange room. I sold a huge amount of beast cores and hides that the exchange clerk's jaw dropped. I received 1,900,450 gold coins. I'm rich again.

I then started to look for prospects. I activated

While walking around, I happened to overhear a conversation about an adventurer who lost his legs when trying to catch a wyvern. The adventurer was an A rank adventurer, but now was wasting away jobless in the slums.

"Um...excuse me! Sorry to b.u.t.t in your conversation. May I know the name of that adventurer that your talking about and where I can find him? I'm interested in giving him a job!" i said.

"Oh! Sure! Anything to help a fellow adventurer get a job. His name is James Bond, he lives in the east side of the slums. You can't miss him since he is the only one without legs!" he said

"You serious with that name! James Bond! 007 much...Thank you!" i said

I'm starting to think it is faith with the naming of people.

I headed towards the east side of the slums. I saw him sleeping on cardboards and he has unkept beard and appearance. A hobo so to speak. I looked around and saw no one is around the area. I approached him and woke him up.

"Hey James! What would you say if I told you that I can help you grow your legs back. The price is to serve me unconditionally for life." i said.

"Ha! What are you on kid? n.o.body can help me. Just give me some change and get out of here." he said

"Oh! Your doubting me! How about I show you a little of my abilities." i replied

I activated on him. All dirt and stains was erased and came out a clean shaven face and clean but ragged clothes.

"I have a magic to regrow your limbs, but you have to join my coven in order for it to work" i said

"Coven?! Are you a vampire? It's the middle of the day!" he said

"You are half right. I am a vamphir. A half vampire half human. No weaknesses. Do not worry, I'm the good kind of vamphir. I don't kill humans for food, I eat regular food. I only kill when they deserve it and so will you if you decide to follow me." i said.

"Hahaha! I guess i need to make a deal with the devil. My life is s.h.i.+t anyways! Sure kid! I'll serve you with what little life i got left. I have cancer so I'll be dead by the end of the year." he said

"Good!" i slashed an opening on my arm and filled a cup from my inventory with my blood. "Drink this first!" i said

He drank the blood and I activated then I activated and gave him the skills , , , , ,

His legs started to grow back. He was in tears seeing his legs and feet back. There was no pain since the pain resistance. A symbol appeared in his chest. I looked at it.

"I guess that is my symbol for my covern. Oh before you do a happy dance, there is one thing i forgot to mention. You are now an immortal with my blood and all health issues are cured, so I guess we'll be hanging out for a long long time." i said

"Wh-what?! You tricked me! s.h.i.+t! But what are these skills. Information is being dumped in my head. Whoa! I can fly? I have enough mana for 8 hour flight!." - (James)

"That's good and all. Also you don't have to eat, thanks to Blood regeneration. Let's go buy you some clothes and we also need to s...o...b.. a hair salon!" i said

He got groomed and cleaned. I got him a room next to mine at then Inn I'm staying at. I also gave him 1,000 gold coins and a inters.p.a.cial ring.

"Do you know anyone like you who is willing to join my coven? i asked

"I do know one person that might agree. But he is an a.s.shole! He is in the castle jail waiting for execution! His att.i.tude sucks, but he is a good person. He killed a corrupt baron to save the maid from being raped, and he got the death sentence for that. His name is Rudolph Rain" -(James)

I nodded. I used and and headed to prison. I started to sing (Rudolph the red nose raindeer song) ?

I went in the jail cell where he is at and activated .

"Hey Rudolph need help with life!" i said

"Who are you demon! Show yourself!" he said

"Dude! Take a chill pill man! I just want to make a deal if your interested. You'll die in 2 days and I am giving you a chance to live!"

"I'm never selling my soul demon ask someone else!" - (Rudolph)?

"Well in a way it's like that but I don't want your soul. I just need help to protect my coven. Just serve me for the rest of your life that's all!" i said?

"Coven! Your a vampire! You want me to destroy humanity don't you!"?

"Relax~! I'm a vamphir, not a vampire. I don't drink blood or destroy humanity. I'm just living my eternal life free from it all. I just need someone to look after my mansion and the coven. You will have free reign as long as you do your responsibilities, your free time is what you make of it. You will also have no weakness like sunlight or stake to the heart. You'll be immortal."?

"Really! Before I agree with the deal, I want a deal of my own." -(Rudolph)

"Okay! Name it!" i said

"There is this orphanage by the slums. I used to run it. I just got the word that the relatives of the baron i killed will make all the kids to become slaves. I want you to turn them and join our coven!" - (Rudolph)

"Hmm! How many are we talking about. How many kids are there?" i said

"There are 47 children!" he said

"s.h.i.+t! You serious! Shyeet~! Okay! But they will be your responsibility!" i warned him

"I agree!" - (Rudolph)

I performed the ceremony and gave him the same powers as James. I grabbed his hand and activated so we can break out of jail. Once outside we quickly made our way to the orphanage. He explained to the kids about the deal. They all agreed and made the contract with me. I now have a full coven.

"Okay! You guys journey to the east towards the rockies. You will find my mansion there. Only fly at night to avoid troubles with other humans. The map should be in your head. Food is no longer an issue since you have regeneration. You kids study in the library and grow stronger. My coven have to be strong to last 100 lifetimes. If you need to go and play in human settlements, i have a ton of gold in the treasure room. I got those from bandits and bad people. I need to stay here for awhile. Jonathan I gave you , Please fill the water tower and take care of the tree of life planted in the middle of the indoor garden!" i said

They all left through the night with Rudolph on the lead towards my mansion. My coven crest should let them pa.s.s the magic barrier. I then made my way back to the Inn.

The next day James visited my room. There were a bunch of soldiers looking for a fugitive named Rudolph. I told him that his long gone.

"Hey James! We got 20 days before we go back to the mansion. You are free to do whatever you want! If your bored, there are a bunch of missions from the guild!" I said

"Okay. What about you?" - (James)

"I'm working on immortal cultivation. Qi control! I recently acquired it. Once I master it, I will write a book in cultivation in the library in the mansion!" i said

He left the inn and headed to the guild in which surprises all the staff seeing he could walk again. I on the other hand concentrated in gathering qi to my naval dantian. It was a slow process since there is so little natural qi in the air.
