Ezbar on the other hand has started experimenting with nano technology, and took a different approach to the hunter project, focussing on a saber that could go round for round with an amarok, but his success had its drawbacks, and he realised that only maybe on the third generation of sabers will there truly be a saber strong enough to face Cleopatra. He kept this info a secret from Quintin, not wanting to tell him that he will never reach the true potential a saber can have.

Black and White follows on Luna and her Two daughters in a dire situation due to Quintin's deeds in the past, and they needed to stay on their toes, or otherewise it won't be Cleopatra who will cause them their end, but a Black clan member called Seth, who some how managed to bend the laws and avoid the Tuyuk's. No one knew how he did it, he was targeting young, newly awakened werewolves, and when he found out about Kara, Luna's youngest daughter, Seth sets his sights on Luna and her family.

How wil Luna handle this new threat? As an amarok she was strong enough to take on most werewolves, but she learned that no one has come close to touching Seth, and with him in the darkness outside their house, she has no choice but take steps to protect her daughters Kara and Sasha.

These measures she took leads her down a path that reveals the darkness that settled in the past seventeen years, as a werewolf she was uncertain of the outcome, but as a mother she was prepared to die in order to keep her daughters safe.
