Anna shreeked and balled herself up as the shots of the AK went off, Phillip jumped out of the bed and started dressing, it was a pain to be in winter, so many clothes to get on again, as he clipped his revolver back on he looked ta Anna again, she still layed with her hands on her ears.

"That weapon again" She mumbled.

"Ill be right back" Phillip ran down the stairs, got is coat and exited the house.

"Blast you" Anna whispered.

Outside Phillip saw a woman, her basket laid on the ground, and her torch aimed down the road, Phillip turned to see what made her scream, there he saw the large black wolf with Leanne in it's mouth, she was still alive.

"Let go of her you b.a.s.t.a.r.d!" He screamed putting his hand in his weapon.

"Wait!" Leanne screamed and couched blood "This wolf, its speaking to me!"

"What!?"

"It has a message for you" She painfully looked up at it, like a dog s.h.i.+fting a chew toy in its mout, the wolf s.h.i.+fted her, Phillip heard the crunch of bones, making her scream in agony.

"He says!" She cried "You have two choices now soldier, head down the Copper river and North west railway to the old abandoned Kennikott copper mine, there your questions about this place will be answered, your first choice is, every night you spend on this railway line, you will be attacked, the first night, one wolf, the second two. This will continue untill you make it, or die" Leanne tried to s.h.i.+ft and ease her pain.

"Your second option, go there free of any wolf attacks, but in return..." Leanne looked at the wolf, then teared up eyes looked at Phillip "In return, i snap this girl in half" She uttered, the wolf s.h.i.+fted her in his mouth again making her scream. Phillip looked back to Anna's bedroom window, hoping to see her, but none. He turned back at the wolf, its eyes in the torch grey, they looked very familiar to him.

"I..." How could he allow someone to die infront of him. He decided on a QuickDraw, in a flash Phillip had the revolver out and aimed at his hip firing, Phillip was no expert at shooting this way, but he practiced it somewat, the first round struck the wolf in the nose making it roar dropping Leanne, this gave Phillip freedom to open fire, the wolf turned and ran off, no matter how much the fourty four magnum struck it, it just ran off like it wasn't even hit.

"Phillip!" Benson came running, and joined him as they both ran to Leanne.

"Leanne! Just hold on! We'll get you some help" Phillip said kneeling next to her, she was so badly wounded he couldn't decide where to start closing wounds.

"Anna!" He screamed over his shoulder.

"She... She..." He was interrupted by a crack noise that came from Leanne.

'Now, she will be the end of you' Leanne said again and screamed, more cracking came from her.

"No!" She screamed in her normal voice "Im! Im!" She stood up and ran away.

"The same thing happened to Suzette"

"I tried to tell you earlier, i went fo check up on her, but, found a large wolf under her blanket, same colour hair as Suzette had, same blue eyes"

The rapid cracks of the AK's came out of the dark.

"Yes!" Benson yelled, trying to force his fear back "give them h.e.l.l boys!"

But then the screams made Benson shut it. More rifle fire followed but it sounded like less, then finally only one rifle still fired. Out of the dark Yuri came running and stopped by them, phanting, his warm fired rifle barrel made steam in the cold.

"I am sorry, my men are dead, i do not wish to continue"

Phillip shook the man's hand "Im sorry, and thankyou for your help"

He nodded "If i were you, id leave here aswell, those are cursed wolves, they dont go down when you shoot them" Yuri shook Benson's hand aswell and left.

"What now son?"

Phillip walked to Anna's cabin.

"Where are you going?" Benson asked following.

"To see Anna"

"Anna?" Benson asked, Phillip looked over his shoulder at the frowning man, then opened the cabin door. The cold from outside met him in there aswell, no warm fire light, no heat, Phillip stepped in, the furniture just as he remembered it, but, it looked like no one was there for years, the dust layed a few centimeters thick.

"What, de fok?"

"Who's place is this?" Benson asked.

"Anna's Benson!"

"Son! You keep babbling about this Anna, who is she anyway? Some sort of ghost?"

Phillip angrily looked at Benson.

"Anna! The wolf whisperer! Fok Benson! Ive been trying to get the truth about this fokkin place from her for the past days!"

Benson shook his head "Ok son, if you say so"

Phillip stormed up the stairs but the wood was so old one of the steps broke, he came to her room and found the door half broken down from the hinges, there was no fire there aswell, not even a bed, nothing, it was an empty room. He checked the fire place, cold, no fire has burned there in ages.

"You sure this was her cabin? Maybe its the next one?" Benson asked watching the spooky cabin.

"No Benson! This was her fokkin cabin!"

In all of Yuri's life he has never quite ran into a day like this, or, things like these. First that monster with no skin, then the wolves who killed his team. At first they decided to stay because they saw Phillip blow that skinless beast up, if it could die, then there was no reason to fear. But after they shot and shot at tose other wolves and they didnt go down, thats when Yuri decided its time to go. He swallowed the last bit of his vodka and placed a bill down.

Outside the bar he stuck his keys into his jeep.

'Where are you going?' Someone asked him and he paused, the woman had thick fur coat on, a hood over her hair, Then snow goggles on her face.

"Im going home now"

'I need a lift, which direction might you be heading in?'

"South, back to Canada"

'Thats good, my i come with you for a few miles? No busses come here this time of the year'

"Hop in then" He said and unlocked.

She climbed in next to him and he started it up.

"I just need to warm the engine alittle, that way we can put the heater on"

She nodded and took her hood off.

'So what were you doing here?'

"Helping a friend, but it went sour"

'Sour how?'

"Some bad things happened around here, you know, haunted stuff, i just want out" Yuri turned the heaters on and drove off.

'Are you scared?' She asked taking her Goggles off aswell, Yuri felt a tingle when he saw her violet colored eyes.

"No, not really, i just know when im beat"

'Then you're leaving your friends behind?'

"We weren't close"

The drive wasnt too long when Yuri had to brake, two of those huge wolves that killed Anton and Kurig stood blocking the road "Bliet!" He said putting the Jeep in reverse, but it suddenly died.

"Don't worry, ill get us away from here" Yuri said trying to start again.

'Why?' She asked.

"The wolves!" He yelled looking at her, but she was not next to him anymore. Suddenly his door opened and he got yanked out with force, astounded Yuri expected a wolf but saw it was the woman, small as she was, her strength was baffling, she dragged him into the headlights of the vehicle then dropped him. He s.h.i.+fted with his back to the jeep and watched her.

'I never really liked wearing fur, its like wearing the skin, of my own family' She said and turned to the wolves.

"Wh, who are you!" Yuri yelled seeing her stroke the two wolves, they stood as high as she was, their eyes had a hint of human in them.

'It doesn't matter who i am, don't you recognise these two?' She asked.

Yuri blinked, suddenly Anton and Kurig stood next to her, not wolves, he stood up.

"Anton!? Kurig!? You still alive!" He cheered.

"Yes comrade, come join us" Anton said.

Relieved Yuri headed over to them, the woman turned to him and held her arms open.

'Join them, and be mine' She said. Yuri felt himself move to her involuntarily, then embraced her.

'Good, we will be together forever' She whispered and kissed him.

Yuri had no idea he was standing between the two large wolves that was once his comrades, he didn't even realise the rest of the wolves surrounding them. All he saw was the light, the beautiful woman, and the snow suddenly didn't matter to him.
