I am only giving my opinion, and please feel free to disagree. Please don't hate/bully/dislike the "novel" just because of my opinions. The purpose of the Q/A is to prompt YOUR thinking. Thank for reading this. (I'm, by all means, just an amateur. I don't study psychology nor philosophy. I'm just giving my point of views on these broad, undefined questions.)

Why are humans at the top of the food chain? As research has shown, humans are not actually any more intelligent than other animals. Yet, we are still governing this planet, and we have definitely the most authority here. How come we can dictate the world? Whales are just as intelligent as us; lions are way stronger than us; cheetah runs faster than us. Instead of talking about our genetics and the introduction of technology, I will be discussing the reason behind our authority. Are humans designed to control the world? If so, what is our purpose? If G.o.d does exist and he made humans, what is OUR function? Are we meant to protect other animals? Humans are definitely the most powerful species on Earth right now. We have the ability to extinct any animals if we really put the effort in. Using guns, biological weapons, nuclear bombs... can definitely wipe out a species. So we have the authority and power to basically rule this world. Does that mean that it's also our responsibility to protect Earth?
Responsibility comes with authority. That's a fact. So it's our responsibility to take care of others? Well, probably. We are probably designed to achieve this. Not only that the "quality" of humans are higher than most animals, but we also have 7 billion humans on Earth. This number is enough to dominate over the world if we really want to and that we cooperate. So, we are probably "designed" in a way to protect other species on Earth. They don't have the intelligence (for some), the power to protect themselves, so it's our job. That's why, in my opinions, we are created for. Humans are created to have advantages over others, and we are MADE to protect Earth.
Otherwise, why else would humans be created? Even in an online game, the developer would try to balance out the game elements. They would adjust the game by nerfing and buffing, and they are definitely not going to allow one to stay as the "meta" forever. That's not fair. So we are deliberately created to be better than other species (if we really are created by an omnipotent being/G.o.d).
Even if there is no G.o.d, our genes are still way too "overpowered". Is it really coincidental that humans are so powerful? There must be a reason for our dominant genes. In my opinion, humans should protect other animals and Earth because we wield the power to do so.
Thanks for reading.
