“He Xin, let's not fight anymore.” Seeing that the outcome of the match has already been decided, Chen Siyu immediately stepped forward to catch He Xin. However, this child refused to admit defeat, persistently rus.h.i.+ng forward and taking Xu Yu Sheng's punches head on. Standing to one side, Chen Siyu felt pain just from watching him.

Seeing Xu Yu Sheng showing off his military strength, Chen Siyu was also unwilling to back down. However, w.a.n.g Yi was called a military instructor to take part in some mental training. Chen Siyu wanted to help He Xin, but his heart felt quite intimidated.

“Again, come again.” He Xin's mouth was punched and blood started flowing from the corner. Even speaking became difficult, but he still struggled to stand up.

Stop, let's hurry up and go to the infirmary. Chen Siyu had wanted to cover He Xin's mouth, but on the other side, Xu Yu Sheng had already heard his words. He stopped chatting with his friends and turned, looking at He Xin with his eyes filled with disdain.

“What? A crane tail still doesn't want to concede?” Xu Yu Sheng arrogantly walked towards He Xin and looked down on him. “The weak should make way for the strong. I'm sorry, but in the future, don't let me see you in the training grounds again.”

“The training ground isn't owned by your family. What right do you have to stop us from coming here!” Chen Siyu couldn't take it anymore and shouted.

In return, Xu Yu Sheng let out a contemptuous laugh. “If you don't accept this, why don't you come and fight me?”

As long as no one was killed, the military school supported this kind of one-on-one fighting between students. Under this system, there were inevitably people who took advantage of the loopholes. So long as no one was beaten to death, causing severe injuries was no problem at all. As a result, there had been quite a few cases of vicious brawls occurring within the school.

Although the school would punish the offenders, they didn't completely forbid this kind of behaviour. Furthermore, each cla.s.s could apply to compete with each other, and the results would count towards their final cla.s.s evaluation.

“Sure, I'll fight with you.” Chen Siyu was still wondering what to do when he heard Ning An's voice cut through the room. After receiving the message from Chen Siyu, Ning An had rushed over from Qin Zhao's office and just happened to see this scene. The more he looked at Xu Yu Sheng, the angrier he felt.

“Ha, you must be Ning An. You guys are indeed good brothers ah.” Xu Yu Sheng took a look at He Xin lying on the ground, and then turned to look at Ning An who was standing before him. “Even going to the infirmary, you need to go together?”

The group of people behind Xu Yu Sheng burst out into mocking laughter. Ning An's face was unreadable as he took a step forward and faced Xu Yu Sheng. “How about it? Do you dare?”

“Why wouldn't I dare? But you–” It was the first time that Xu Yu Sheng was questioned like this, and it was also by a crane tail. Did he think he was scared? A wave of anger rose from his heart. “Be prepared to beg me for mercy.”

Ning An wasn't the slightest bit shaken. After giving Xu Yu Sheng a glance, he squatted down to look at He Xin's condition, his expression increasingly calm. “You guys should hurry up and go to the infirmary. Don't stay here. Your injuries might cause problems if left untreated.”

“Ning An, be careful.” He Xin only managed to say a few words before Ning An motioned him to shut up. He called Chen Siyu to help support He Xin and leave.

“Ning An.” Chen Siyu was uncertain about Ning An's actions. “Don't push yourself. If you really can't handle it……”

“It's fine. I know my limits.” Ning An waved his hand and cut him off before going into the combat arena to face Xu Yu Sheng.

“You still have time to back out before you regret this. After all, I don't want people to think that I'm bullying you.” Xu Yu Sheng was already prepared to attack, yet still ‘sincerely' gave him a reminder.

“There's no need. Please.”

The fight didn't end as quickly as Xu Yu Sheng had hoped for. Ning An's sparring practice wasn't in vain. Not only could he judge what Xu Yu Sheng was going to do next, he also perfectly dodged and resisted the attacks.

This kind of opponent was the most troublesome and the most annoying. Xu Yu Sheng gradually started to lose the little bit of patience he had. After receiving a few punches in the face from Ning An, nothing mattered to him anymore.

Afterwards, all their skill and techniques went down the drain and their match became a full on fist fight. Every time Xu Yu Sheng thought that Ning An was going to be knocked down, Ning An swayed about but still stood firm, his eyes red as he stared at him. Seeing this look, Xu Yu Sheng felt a little terror.

At this moment, the students surrounding the combat stage watching the excitement were all silent. If this continued on, someone might die.

“Call an instructor.”

“Someone call for an instructor.”

In the beginning, it was just a whispering proposal, but then the voices got louder and someone finally left the training ground to find a military instructor.

How come this kid still hasn't collapse? Xu Yu Sheng always liked to get things done quickly. It was the first time he encountered such a troublesome person. His patience was running out and he couldn't bear it anymore.

“…… Go die.” Xu Yu Sheng put the last of his strength into his hook, aiming for Ning An's temple.

“Stop.” Xu Yu Sheng's fist was gripped by Derek and his whole body was dragged to the side. He could only stumbled along before steadying himself.

However, Ning An still wanted to rush over as though he had suddenly gone crazy. Standing beside him, Fu Ke keenly noticed his actions and held him back. Ning An struggled in his arms, kicking and punching, even baring his teeth to try and bite him. Even though Fu Ke dodged his attacks, he was still elbowed a few times.

“Wu.” So fierce. Fu Ke murmured an apology before performing a karate chop on the back of Ning An's neck. Ning An let out a short gasp and fell limp in his arms. Fu Ke then hugged him up and walked towards the infirmary.

“Student Xu, are you okay? Do you need to go to the infirmary?”

Xu Yu Sheng's face turned pale as he looked at Derek. He now also realised what would happen if his punch had landed on Ning An earlier. Shaking his head, he turned around towards his group of friends, who then crowded around him and escorted him out of the training ground.

Derek shrugged and then rushed to the infirmary.

“Aiyah, that Xu Yu Sheng beat you up so severely. I really want to go find him and take revenge!” As soon as Fu Ke entered the infirmary, Chen Siyu, who was watching over He Xin, saw Ning An in his arms. “He even fainted……”

“I was the one who knocked him out.” Fu Ke pa.s.sed Chen Siyu and handed Ning An over to the doctor. “At that time, the situation was quite delicate.”

The doctor gave Ning An a preliminary examination and found that there were no broken bones. He then signalled for Fu Ke to put him in the treatment cabin next to He Xin. A blue transparent jelly-like liquid then slowly enveloped Ning An.

Chen Siyu still wanted to ask more questions, but the doctor tapped the board in his hand with a pen, indicating for them to listen. “There's no broken bones. They can leave after another hour. Ai, look at their ghostly appearances. They're really a bunch of lunatics. Who will sign this form?”

“Ah, I'll do it.” Chen Siyu followed the doctor over. “I share the same room as those two. Is it okay if I wait for them here?”

“There's a rest area over there.” The doctor took back the form Chen Siyu signed and then started to input the information, pa.s.sing Chen Siyu a bottle of water along the way.

When Derek arrived at the infirmary, he saw Fu Ke staring at the treatment cabin in a daze. He sat down, scooted over and then gave Fu Ke a slap. “What's wrong Fu? Are you okay?”

When he looked over, he also saw He Xin in the next treatment cabin. “Oh…… there's another one…… demon.”

Derek was making a remark about Xu Yu Sheng, but Fu Ke recalled the few times he had been hit by Ning An thras.h.i.+ng about, feeling the dull ache in his ribs. He followed in agreement. “Yes, he's very fierce.”

“Student Fu, Student Liszt. ” Chen Siyu asked the doctor for two more bottles of water and pa.s.sed it to them. Seeing that they were both looking at the treatment cabins, he said, “We really troubled you two today.”

“Don't mention it, it's nothing much.” Derek pointed at He Xin. “Did he also get beaten by Xu Yu Sheng?”

“Yes, about that, Ning An……” Chen Siyu remembered that Fu Ke said it was he who knocked Ning An out. “What was the situation back then?”

“Those two were extremely fierce.” It was the first time that Derek saw such an expression on Ning An's face; he looked as though he wanted to tear his opponent to shreds. “Is there some past enmity between them?”

“Even if there is enmity, it wouldn't count as much.” Chen Siyu thought, the interaction between those two could be counted on one hand. It seemed like He Xin was very important to Ning An. “Regardless, I want to thank you for today. It's fine if it's just me here, you guys don't need to keep watch.”

The two of them really had no reason to stay, so they both nodded and bid farewell before returning to their dorms.
