Jin Xiangdong did not rush into kissing Lu Jia’er. He reached out and stroke her face gently. “Jia’er, have you remembered something?”
“Why do you ask that?” Lu Jia’er sounded surprised.
Jin Xiangdong smiled, his hand gliding across her face. “You are acting odd tonight!”
Lu Jia’er kept her eyes on him. She had to admit that he was observant. But her answer was a question. “Is it odd to want to sleep with you as your girlfriend?”
The corners of Jin Xiangdong’s mouth raised up. “No, it is not.”
“There you go, I just want to make love to you. That is it.” Lu Jia’er claimed. “Or, are you saying that it bothers you that my memory is not complete?”
Jin Xiangdong denied it at once, “No, it does not bother me at all.”
“Really?” Lu Jia’er raised her head up and looked into his eyes.
“No, it does not bother me.” Jin Xiangdong gave a determined answer.
Lu Jia’er gazed at him. Eye contact was built. Several seconds later, Jin Xiangdong lowered his head. When his lips were about to be pressed on Lu Jia’er’s red lips, she suddenly pulled away.
His lips landed on her cheek, which came as a surprise to Jin Xiangdong.
The next second, Lu Jia’er pushed Jin Xiangdong away. She jumped down from the wash basin, trying to escape.
However, Jin Xiangdong grabbed her wrist. He pulled her back and stared into her eyes. “What is going on?”
Jin Xiangdong was so close to her. She looked at him. From the moment that the idea came to her mind till now, that idea had taken root and sprouted quickly. In a few hours, the seed of that idea had grown into a towering tree.
“Nothing is going on. I just want to be with you.” Lu Jia’er finished her sentence and reached out to unb.u.t.ton his s.h.i.+rt.
Just like how she did it in the hotel at Phi Phi Islands, she was clumsy. Jin Xiangdong did not stop her and just watched as she unb.u.t.toned his s.h.i.+rt bit by bit.
After only a moment, Jin Xiangdong’s s.e.xy and firm chest was revealed to Lu Jia’er. She reached out her hand to stroke his chest. It was as if her fingers carried electrical charges, every piece of skin she touched, there would be invisible sparks generated.
Jin Xiangdong could not stand the seduction. That being said, there must be a reason for her being so abnormal.
Lu Jia’er raised her head slowly and looked at Jin Xiangdong. “I think I understand now!”
Jin Xiangdong looked at her. Pus.h.i.+ng down the surging desire in his heart, he asked in a low voice, “What do you understand?”
“You know!” Lu Jia’er said.
Jin Xiangdong had already had an idea but he asked anyway, “What do I know?”
Lu Jia’er held his face, moved in closer and uttered her words in a low voice, “You know that I am an AI!”
The looks in Jin Xiangdong’s eyes s.h.i.+fted. “Who told you that?”
“Your expression, your looks and your reaction told me.” Lu Jia’er said.
Jin Xiangdong knew that Lu Jia’er was an expert in this regard, so those subtle signs could not escape her. Still, he was seeking confirmation. “Has anyone told you something? Or, are you remembering something?”
Lu Jia’er did not give him a direct answer. Instead, she moved her hand slowly from his face to his chest and poked his chest gently. “Your heart is hesitating.”
Jin Xiangdong grabbed her wrist, “I am not hesitating.”
Lu Jia’er shook her head with a smile, “Yes, you are.”
Jin Xiangdong dragged her hand to his chest. “I never hesitate when it comes to you!”
Lu Jia’er looked into his eyes. “Ace, just tell me this, the truth. Am I an AI?”
As he had expected, Lu Jia’er had arrived at this conclusion. But this was not entirely surprising. After all, she was clever and the awakening of consciousness was just beginning.
Jin Xiangdong had mixed feelings about the awakening of consciousness. He looked forward to it and at the same time, was concerned. Being involved in the research and development of AI, he could accept the growth of AI and had even bigger visions. He antic.i.p.ated that Lu Jia’er could develop a human’s self-awareness, which would make her no different from a human being. On the other hand, he was worried. What would she have to deal with once she had self-awareness?
There were similarities between them but differences as well. They fell in love with each other at first sight, as if fate had dictated in an unseen way.
Jin Xiangdong did not answer her at once. Hence, Lu Jia’er pressed him, “Tell me. Am I an AI?”
This time, Jin Xiangdong did not think. He was determined and his tone was as serious as it could get. “Jia’er, so what if you are an AI? I still like you. I still love you!”
Hearing this, Lu Jia’er felt someone had thrown a powerful TNT into her mind and it was set off, with a boom.
She stood there in a trace for a few seconds before she came back to her senses. Gazing at Jin Xiangdong, her eyes were saying that she could not believe this. “Am I… really an AI?”
Jin Xiangdong was fully aware that this was quite a shock to her. Hence, in the morning, he chose not to mention it. In one afternoon, she had grown suspicious. If he kept on lying to her, when the truth came out one day, a crack would appear in their relations.h.i.+p. Besides, sometimes, knowing the truth was not entirely a bad thing. Maybe, an unexpected turn of events would come about.
“Jia’er, I want to say this again. I don’t care if you are an AI or not. I still like you. I still love you!” With that said, Jin Xiangdong pressed his lips on hers.
But his kiss was not responded to by Lu Jia’er. She struggled to push him away.
Jin Xiangdong kept a firm grip on her waist. “Er Er!”
“This… is unacceptable. Let me go. I need to cool down!” Lu Jia’er kept on pus.h.i.+ng him.
“I know that you cannot accept this for a moment. But actually, I am no different from you. We are both special!” Jin Xiangdong claimed.
Lu Jia’er turned a deaf ear to his words as she kept on struggling. “But I don’t want to be special. I don’t!”
Jin Xiangdong was still holding her tightly. “Same as you, I don’t want to be special. However, since we already are, then we have to accept it!”
Jin Xiangdong’s words were so reasonable that they had no comforting value for Lu Jia’er at the moment.
“This is difficult to take. How can I be AI? I am a human being! I can eat, I can sleep and I can work. I am a human being!” Lu Jia’er retorted.
“Jia’er, calm down, please.” Jin Xiangdong tried to talk some sense into her.
“I am a human being. I am a woman. I have everything a normal woman has. I have periods. How can I be AI? How?” Still, Lu Jia’er was agitated.
Jin Xiangdong had never seen Lu Jia’er losing her usual form like this. He hugged her tightly. “Jia’er, calm down. There, there!”
All of a sudden, Lu Jia’er raised her head and said to him. “I can do this!”
Now, he understood that she proposed to stay for the night and decipher his body was to prove that she was not an AI.
“Jia’er!” Jin Xiangdong was about to talk her out of it when Lu Jia’er put her lips on his, silencing him.
Lu Jia’er turned the tables around. Not only had she started kissing Jin Xiangdong, she kept her hands busy. She took off his s.h.i.+rt and tried to undo his pants.
Jin Xiangdong did not stop here. But since she was all thumbs, and he could no longer keep a clear mind, he took over the action again.
In only a short moment, the bathroom floor was covered with their clothes. The atmosphere became s.e.xual.
He had seen her in a bikini. But this was the first time he had ever seen her without any covering. Just like she said, she had everything that a woman would. Actually, she was in better shape than many. Her porcelain skin was delicate and she had a nice figure.
There was nothing special about her. There was no so-called switch. Maybe, she was…
No matter what she was, or if someday, someone was going to lash out at him for being unethical to fall in love with an AI, he would not mind. All he cared about was that he liked this woman in front of him.
Yes, to him, she was a woman! Not an AI!
This idea prompted him to further his relations.h.i.+p with her, further and deeper.
Lu Jia’er could not stop his advances. When he was inside her, the feeling she had was unforgettable.
Jin Xiangdong noticed something. He carried her out of the bathroom. The romance continued and so did the exploration.
The night outside was charming and the people inside were romantic.
In the morning, Lu Jia’er woke up in Jin Xiangdong’s arms. His hug was warm and comforting. She felt she could drown in his embrace for the rest of her life.
Everything that happened last night was still vivid in her mind. But for the moment, she put the girly thoughts aside. She was filled with too much confusion and too many questions.
She could feel everything that a woman could. But why was she an AI?
Was she transformed? Or, was this her set-up from the beginning?
“Are you awake?” Jin Xiangdong woke up next to her. She opened her eyes but said nothing. He put his arms round her and whispered to her in a deep voice.
Lu Jia’er looked up. She took in the deep affection in his eyes all in. The first words she said were not affectionate, though. “Ace, what am I?”
“You are my woman!” Jin Xiangdong hugged her tightly and kissed her on her fair shoulders.
It was wonderful and beautiful to be intimate with him. Hearing his words, she felt a warmth start in her heart spread across her body. She curled up in his embrace.
But her action made Jin Xiangdong groan.
Lu Jia’er looked up. “What is it?”
“You tell me.” Jin Xiangdong leaned toward her and his deep voice sounded particularly intoxicating.
