Evolution In Another World 19 The Darkness Within

I walk into the Dragon Dungeon after arming up. While all dungeons in this world look like caves, the interior can vary drastically. I walk in and see an open valley. An adventurer runs toward me.

"Who are you! I don't recognize you."

"Micheal sent me an invitation. I arrived late. What happened?

"All the healing mages are dead. We need you guys to send at least one to help us with the final push."

"Well that's not good."

"Why is that not good." d.a.m.n, he heard my muttering.

"Simple, all the healers outside are dead. Potions are used up as well. I came in to pull all of you out."

"Well, we can't continue without healers or potions. I'll go inform them." He turns to run away.

"Yeah, I can't have that." I throw an Int Killing Dagger at his head. He drops dead. "Come out, I know you are there." A small green dragon pops out. "Hey Messenger Dragon, give a message to Draco. ShadowClaw can't make it, but help is here." The dragon nods and flies off with a quick burst of wind. I run through the valley and find a medic outpost. It's got a few repellent magic tools around it. I walk in.

"Who are you?"

"Your reaper." I use chaos magic to induce fear into the entire outpost. The outpost goes silent. "That may have been to strong. I seem to have killed all the people here with fright." I take out all the repellent magic tools out of the ground. I make it to the center of the camp. "You can't fool me, you can wake up now."

"What gave me away?" The Skeletal Dragon in the center of the camp gets up.

"If I as a Demon Lord can't recognize a monster follower by sight, then I don't deserve to be a Demon Lord. By the way, you were inside the repellents. Why did you not attack?"

"You can't be a Demon Lord, you are human. I had secretly killed the healer here with poison, which made it look like a heart attack, and was waiting for a new healer to show up, then I would kill the healer and then the others."

"Not that bad of a plan. By the way, I am a High Human. I evolved when ShadowClaw made me a Demon Lord."

"You know his name. I guess you are a Demon Lord. As a former human, I suppose that you care if I eat the humans here."

"No, I don't. I hate darkness without a purpose. Which is why I use the darkness within me with purpose. Due me a favor though. I need a memento of these people. Gouge out their eyes, claw their faces up, and eat them from the neck down. Relish the taste of victory, of the human flesh, blood and bones, of those that dare desecrate your master's domain. I will use the heads I take back to send a message. Do not trifle with Demon Lords.
