The guys bonded over beer, and so did the girls. Dave was definitely the life of the party. He had dirt on every girl that walked past their corner. Latest celebrity news, who broke up, who got together, who cheated and who got cheated on; it was basically a night lecture in Celebrity 101. Quincy and the rest discussed politics, IT, economic changes, and whatnot.

The night slowly pa.s.sed, and the jolly group of friends parted ways.

Quincy and Seraphina alighted from the car. She grabbed his hand in hers and interlocked their fingers.

"Did you have fun tonight?," she asked, feeling all giddy from the warmth of his palm.

"I did. Seeing you laugh was the highlight of my night. The scary part was when Flora and Claudia visually dissected me," he shook his head when he remembered the scary feeling.

Seraphina laughed til her belly hurt.

"You're my first boyfriend. Of course they need to scrutinize you well."

"I hope they approve of me."

"Well, I'll let you know the result tomorrow."

The couple smiled at each other, registering every inch of each others faces to memory.

Quincy led her out of the elevator towards her apartment.

"Don't sleep late," she said as she pat his face lovingly.

"Sure. I need to look refreshed for when we see granny Jacob tomorrow."

He held onto her hand on his face. He was drawn in by her l.u.s.trous brown eyes, and so was she, by his silver eyes.

"Good night my little darling."

He placed a kiss on her forehead.

"Good night silver eyes."

She placed a kiss on his cheek before running into her apartment.

Quincy sighed, "she's so lovely when she's shy".

Seraphina's Apartment

"Ding Ding Ding Ding"

She retrieved her phone from her purse knowing who it was.

She sent him a message before closing her eyes.

He held on to his cheek where his little darling had placed a good night kiss.

Lying down after my shower, my phone dinged once more.
