Deucalion paused and continued, "If you were to join us, all of us will join together and protect you, you'll have a family. You'll be one among us and we'll never turn our back on one of us."

Selena growled at him and said, "I'd rather die than join you monsters. I know about you and your Alpha pack, you made them kill all of their packs. You remember this, Deucalion, you'll regret that you ever tried to recruit me."

Max made on his way to Georgetown within a couple of hours. He went to the North of the town when he reached the forest region, he threw away all his extra weights in the car and put on his black jacket and took a box of nail, a pouch of mountain ash, some rare and poisonous wolfs-bane and other stuff. And he started running through the forest.

As a Hunter who hunted werewolves for years, he had learned to track the werewolves with their footprints and other clues. Soon he sensed where Selena was trapped, so he quickly hid his presence and approached her location, he could also sense that there were many other strong presence near her. But as soon as he saw who it was surrounding Selena, he was flabbergasted. He couldn't believe that it was Deucalion and his Alpha pack that were trying to capture her.

As he was thinking about countermeasures he heard Deucalion growl and throw his cane at Selena. Max didn't hesitate anymore and threw five nails from the side, and as the cane was about to reach Selena his nails interrupted it.

Deucalion saw that he wasn't able to hit her roared and said, "WHO?" But he didn't hear any reply. He only heard nails flying everywhere around him. He was able to dodge it because he didn't rely on his eyes rather his other senses were higher compared to others.

When he sensed around, he could sense only him and Selena were standing. He turned his entire eyes to red and was able to see that all the other Alphas were lying on the floor. and they had five to six nail pierce each of them.

Deucalion knew that the person who came this time was very skilled and he didn't to underestimate them, especially when his pack was lying on the ground unconscious. So he only shouted, "Hunter, show yourself! This is a matter between the Alphas. You are not to get involved. We haven't killed any of you recently."

He only heard a reply from behind him, "No, you haven't killed any of my people, but you were about to."

Hearing the sound Deucalion immediately tuned around to see a man with his face covered with black scarf. When he saw that the man was very close to him, he lunged at him, only to pa.s.s through the man. This was Max's mirage clone he's been working on a long time and recently mastered.

And when Deucalion turned and looked the man he pa.s.sed through the man slowly vanished and a man who looked exactly like him was standing in front of Selena like he was protecting her.

Deucalion shouted at him, "What are you doing?"

Max smiled and replied, "Oh, she called for help, so I'm helping her."
