As soon as this statement was heard everyone figured it out. Derek said, "I still can't believe none of us remember him."

Isaac and Erica never knew that Jackson ran away because of these guys. Isaac asked, "So what do we do now?"

Max looked at him and said, "Everyone rest for now. I'll patrol the town tonight. I'll cover most of the area. And I also have something to take care of. D, you're gonna follow me, we'll get you fixed first."

Max took Divina to the forest, as they were flying, Max closed his eyes and tried to sense the nearby energies and soon he found a dormant powerful energy source and went towards it.

In a few seconds he landed near a tree stump which seemed to be as old as the town itself. Divina watching that asked, "What is that?"

Max stared at the tree stump and said, "It's the Nemeton. Its a powerful being. It looks like a tree stump, but I heard that it existed from ancient times."

Divina was already scared standing near this thing, so she asked, "What are we doing here?"

Max looked at her and said, "We're going to get rid of your ancestral magic. You see, this tree is old and now it's kinda weak compared to its prime, so it's absorbing energies all around this place. So if you were to channel all your ancestral magic and let it absorb, you'll be able to get rid of the ancestral magic, and you'll be able to develop your own magic. It's a theory, but still it's worth a shot."

Divina nervously asked, "What if I lose my magic permanently?"

Max just smiled at her and said, "You can trust me on this. You're a born witch, as long as you're alive or if you don't turn into a vampire your magic will regrow." Even Max wasn't sure if this is gonna work or not, but he was willing do anything to help his friend.

Divina nodded hearing what Max said as she went and sat on the tree stump, she felt the dormant power inside the tree. She was already surprised and thought, (If this is in its weak state, how powerful was it when it was in its prime?) But soon she focused and channeled all her magic, the restriction which she felt as she entered the town was lifted, but all her magic was being absorbed by the Nemeton. She sat there and focused on channeling her magic.

Max watching this knew that it's gonna take some time, so he sat there and decided to mediate. As he was meditating he soon felt the surrounding energy. He was always able to sense energy signatures all around him, but today he was sensing different kind, a kind of pure energy.

He swiftly opened his eyes and thought (Is this nature charka? If it is, I think this is gonna help a great deal in my sage mode practice.)

So Max made a shadow clone and sat down and let the shadow clone observe his changes. He focused on the technique Naruto used to practice sage mode.

After five hours he was able to take in the surrounding energy, as soon as he got the hang of it, he greedily absorbed the energy.

His shadow clone was observing the changes that was happening to his body. The clone saw its real body slowly absorbing the nearby energy, but as soon as his real body sucked in the energy faster, the real body started to get woodified. His arms and legs started to turn into wood. The clone Max just channeled some ki in his hand and slapped on the back of the real body. As soon as he did that, the real body came back to its senses.

As soon as Max opened his eyes he noticed that his hands and legs were covered with a layer of wood. Now he knew that he nearly turned into a wooden tree, just like how there were so many people turned to stone in Mount Miyaboku. This wasn't the Naruto world's one of the sacred land's nature charka. This was a whole another world, he had to be cautious of the side effects.

He wanted to train and continue to practice it, but at this time Divina came walking from the Nemeton. He looked at her and asked, "How do you feel?"

Divina said with a smile, "I feel a whole lot better." But she again frowned and said, "But I can't feel any magic within myself."

Max looked at her and said, "Don't worry. In a month or two, you'll be able to channel your own magic. It just takes time."

Divina just came near Max and hugged him and said, "Thank you for everything."

Max hugged back and smiled at her and said, "Come on, D. You helped me out a lot. It's the least I could do. Now let's go, you get some rest tonight. I'll introduce you to everyone tomorrow."

Divina nodded and said, "Okay."

Max just took her and went back to his house.
